In the Footsteps of the Chosen of Dragons Quest Chain Guide

As a seasoned adventurer with countless hours spent traversing the fantastical landscapes of Teyvat, I can confidently guide you through these captivating quests that await you in the enchanting world of Genshin Impact.

This single chain quest is quite extensive, not necessarily due to its length but because it contains numerous individual quests within it. Unfortunately, there’s no built-in navigation system, so you’ll need to locate all these quests yourself. That’s where this guide comes in handy; it will assist you in finding each of the quests associated with this chain quest and helping you complete them.

Treasures and Collectors Quest

Travel to the waypoint located northwest of “Scions of the Canopy.” Then, proceed westward until you spot an NPC seated on a chair. Engage in conversation with this character named Quipia to initiate the quest titled “Treasures and Collectors.” Upon starting the quest, locate the hole directly before Quipia and descend into it to uncover the excavation site. Continue your journey following the guidance provided within the quest.

After you appear to have reached an impasse, wait for your Saurian to advance and interact with the switch that will cause it to uncover itself. Activate the switch to open the door. Behind the door, you’ll find a Monetoo confined in a cage. You’ll need to employ a Yumkasaurus to aid and free the Monetoo.

Return to the location teeming with Pyro Bombs, where a Yumkasaurus Phlogiston awaits. Hop on board and leverage its powerful attack to obliterate the fragile wall that’s hidden within the scene (use Elemental Sight to spot the fragile wall).

Stroll over to Monetoo and move the stone block to unfasten the cage, thereby releasing Monetoo. Once released, replace the stone block in its original spot so that Monetoo can reach the graffiti on the wall. This action will trigger a device, and an adversary will emerge behind you. Overcome them to advance further.

After that, go back to the surface and talk to Quipia to complete the quest.

Waiting For Seeds to Sprout Quest

Step into the Weapon Realm and ascend towards the southeastern direction, following my lead as a devoted fan. Upon arrival, summon your trusty Saurian companion who will commence excavating holes in this location. Accompany the Saurian to one of these burrows until an awaited seed comes to fruition, thereby initiating the “Seeds Sprouting Awaited” questline.

1) Plant the seed alongside your scaly companion, ensuring that all potential pests are kept at bay to accomplish the mission. It seems like you’ll have to wait for the daily reset for the seed to sprout and check if there’s further progress (I couldn’t find any advancement using the in-game timer).

Tepetlisaurus Hide-and-Seek Quest

Move north from the Sulfurous Veins and then travel east until you locate a Pyroculus nestled within a decayed tree. Continue your journey to that spot, where you’ll encounter a group of adorable Tepetlisaurus. The quest will initiate automatically at this point. This task is relatively simple; you just need to find a Saurian that has been playing around for quite some time. In case you can’t find the Saurian, attempt speaking with all the nearby Tepetlisaurus first before searching near the fallen tree trunk.

Gifts and Gifts in Return Quest

Make your way to Tepeacac Rise’s southern checkpoint, then head towards the waterfall in the west. You’ll find the same glowing pillars there. Interact with them to be transported to where you initially encountered your Saurian ally, and the quest will initiate automatically. Follow the quest markers until you return to “Children of Echoes.”

As a gamer, when the navigation suggests searching for a jeweler’s shop, I would say, “I’ll be scouring the area for Imix, the starting point of the Tribal Chronicle quest instead.” Then, I’d head off to find Kuhalaw, who’s been conveniently marked on my map.

To get back the missing gem and tools, it might seem challenging, but here’s a simple solution: Dive into a Yumkasaurus and trace the Coilgrass Sigils paths, which guide you to three sparkling spots. Alternatively, glance at the image above for the items you need to locate. Once found, follow the quest directions, and you’ll finish the quest with ease.

A Saurian Lover’s Ordinary Days Quest

Move to the “Reputation Level” within “Scions of the Canopy”. As you go, watch for any movement on the ground. When you notice a Non-Player Character (NPC) being encircled by three Saurians, swoop down to join the scene and initiate the quest. The quest isn’t challenging, so just stick to the quest path to complete it successfully.

Weighty Wings Quest

As a devoted adventurer, I embarked on a brief yet heartwarming journey to rescue an injured Saurian. To begin this quest, I teleported myself north of Teticpac Peak and navigated northeastwards, guided by the small blue tent marked on my map. Before engaging with the mission, I had to confront and overcome any adversaries that stood in my way at the camp location.

To mend the Qucusaurus, make the Embercore Blossoms bloom by striking them, then gather three of these blossoms. Once gathered, provide the Qucusaurus with the flowers to heal it, thus completing the mission.

Lights, Kamera, Actions! Quest

1. Travel to the Statue of the Seven at “Children of Echoes” and ascend the cliff that lies behind you. Engage with the Kamera to initiate the mission.

As the NPC instructs you to position the barrel and bait at a particular location, simply let your reptilian companion guide you in finding the optimal spot. After reading through the conversation to its conclusion, you’ll wrap up the quest successfully.

Feeling Like Fish Today! Quest

Let’s spend some quality time with your dinosaur pal! Instead of just hanging out, why not teleport yourself southwest of the Ancestral Temple and then head towards the shore? You should spot some fishing rods around there. As you get close, your dino buddy will join you to start the quest.

Throughout your journey, you must employ the power of Koholasaurus (its attack) to purify the water and destroy all the crates, enabling you to overcome the small Slime. After a successful fishing trip, utilize Koholasaurus once more to pursue the swimming fish, as Paimon is particularly fond of it. The quest concludes with an achievement titled “…And Thanks for All the Fish!”

Lies and Promises Quest

Move to the hidden location beneath Teticpac Peak, which is your waypoint. From there, face the direction of northeast where you’ll find a Yumkasaurus safeguarding a Lavish Chest. Approach the unusual Yumkasaurus to initiate the quest. If this doesn’t trigger the quest, first occupy a Yumkasaurus before interacting with it.

As a gamer, I’ll transform back into human form, then provide the Yumkasaurus with some meat. Once it dozes off, I’ll need to possess this Yumkasaurus to converse with the sleeping Saurian and decipher its secrets. My Saurian ally should retrieve the Luxurious Chest next to uncover the plan here. I’ll continue this quest until it ends, eventually earning the achievement ‘A Final Kindness.’ Afterwards, I’ll feed the Yumkasaurus one last time.

Special Friends Quest

It’s time to find a new friend for our scaly buddy! Transport yourself to the “Statue of the Seven” in “Scions of the Canopy.” From there, move towards the southwest direction until you spot an alpaca and a Yumkasaurus. Engage with them to initiate the quest, as you’ll be tasked with locating the Yumkasaurus for a short while first.

To finish this quest, first, chat with the NPC involved. Then, speak to all the alpacas in the vicinity (there are 3 of them). Once you’ve found and helped the last one by constructing a path using a wooden plank, your mission will be accomplished.

Don’t forget to pick up the alpaca toy so it can be added to the rest area.
