A trailer for “In The Lost Lands,” a story by the renowned writer George R.R. Martin (famous for Game of Thrones), has been sent to our email.
The movie is an extraordinary post-apocalyptic action western unlike any other, offering a heart-stopping adventure journey through a horrifyingly beautiful wasteland, crafted only by Paul W.S. Anderson, known for his work on Resident Evil and Monster Hunter. It revolves around a queen who dispatches the potent and feared sorceress Gray Alys (Milla Jovovich) to the haunting expanse of the Lost Lands in pursuit of a mystical power. In this eerie landscape, Gray Alys and her guide, the wanderer Boyce (Dave Bautista), must outmaneuver and overpower both humans and demons to achieve their goal.
In the Lost Lands is a film directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, who also stars his wife Milla Jovovich (known for Resident Evil and The Three Musketeers) and Dave Bautista (famous for Guardians of the Galaxy, Dune, Spectre). This production is jointly produced by Anderson, Jovovich, Bautista, Jeremy Bolt, Robert Kulzer, and co-screenwriter Constantin Werner.
It’s been said that George R.R. Martin initially planned “In the Lost Lands” as the first installment of a series focusing on Gray Alys, similar to his Tuf Voyaging collection. However, he didn’t end up writing any more stories in this series. If the movie adaptation becomes successful, though, he might pen another short story to continue the series.
IN THE LOST LANDS opens in cinemas across the UK & Ireland on 14th March 2025.
