“Incandescent Ode of Resurrection” Version 5.3 Update Details

As a seasoned traveler who has traversed the vast landscapes of Teyvat, I must say that this update is nothing short of breathtaking! The balance adjustments to the Genius Invokation TCG have truly spiced up my card-battling experiences, and the optimizations in Neuvillette’s Story Quest have made the journey even more immersive.

Being a DualSense controller enthusiast, I must admit that the haptic feedback during the combat sequences is nothing short of extraordinary, making every battle feel like a thrilling adventure straight out of Teyvat itself!

And let’s not forget about those pesky text errors in the tutorials for Goldflame Qucusaur Tyrant and Radiant Pillars. As someone who has battled both countless times, I can confirm that they are indeed formidable foes – but not as formidable as the frustration of misinterpreted tutorial instructions!

Lastly, let me leave you with a little joke to lighten things up: Why don’t Travelers ever play hide-and-seek with Electro Slimes? Because good luck hiding when they can just electrocute themselves and give themselves away! Keep exploring, fellow Traveler, and may your adventures be as thrilling as my haptic feedback-filled battles!

Dear Traveler,

As a long-time user of this software, I am thrilled about the Version 5.3 update, titled “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection.” Over the years, I have encountered numerous challenges and frustrations while using previous versions, but with each update, the developers seem to take my feedback seriously and make improvements that truly enhance my user experience.

The compensation for this update is particularly noteworthy, as it demonstrates a level of appreciation for loyal users like myself who have stuck by the software through its growing pains. It’s refreshing to see a company prioritize its customers in such a tangible way.

I eagerly anticipate diving into the new features and improvements that this update brings, and I am confident that my experience with this software will continue to be enriched as a result. The “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection” seems poised to breathe new life into my daily workflow, and I am grateful for the developers’ dedication to creating a better product for their users.

I. New Characters

5-Star Character “Night-Igniting Flame” Mavuika (Pyro)

◇ Gnosis: Pyro

◇ Weapon: Claymore

The ruler of Natlan, bearing the Ancient Title “Kiongozi,” pledged to brighten the country’s tumultuous future using the Holy Flame.

◆ Elemental Skill: The Named Moment

◇ Calls upon the “Universal Flame Weapons” and enters the “Blessing of the Night Spirit” mode. Tap to make the “Universal Flame Weapons” appear as the Ring of Scorching Light, which stays with the active character and attacks nearby enemies periodically, causing damage aligned with the Night Spirit’s Pyro element. Hold to make the “Universal Flame Weapons” transform into a Flame Rider, enhancing Mavuika’s ability to traverse different terrains. Mavuika’s basic, charged, and plunging attacks will also deal damage aligned with the Night Spirit’s Pyro element. While in the “Blessing of the Night Spirit” state, tapping the Elemental Skill allows you to switch between the forms of the “Universal Flame Weapons.

◆ Elemental Burst: Hour of Burning Skies

◇ Mavuika’s Elemental Burst is fueled not by Elemental Energy, but rather by “Fighting Spirit.” This energy source is acquired when party members use Nightsoul points or land successful Normal Attacks against opponents. Once Mavuika amasses a sufficient quantity of Fighting Spirit, she can expend it all to trigger her Elemental Burst.

◇ When Mavuika unleashes her Elemental Burst, she brings forth the “All-Fire Armaments” known as Flamestrider and finds herself in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state. In this condition, she performs a potent Sunfell Slice on adversaries, inflicting Area of Effect Pyro damage that aligns with Nightsoul energy. During this unique status, Mavuika can execute attacks without depleting her Nightsoul points, and the Normal and Charged Attacks during Flamestrider mode deal enhanced damage based on the amount of “Fighting Spirit” she has expended.

5-Star Character “Obsidian Opalstar” Citlali (Cryo)

◇ Vision: Cryo

◇ Weapon: Catalyst

◇ The great shaman from the Masters of the Night-Wind, the universally-revered Granny Itztli.

◆ Elemental Skill: Dawnfrost Darkstar

◇ Citlali triggers her Opal Barrier and calls forth Itzpapa, thereby accumulating Nightsoul energy and transitioning into the state of Itzpapa’s Blessing. Once Citlali has amassed a specific quantity of Nightsoul energy, Itzpapa will persistently deplete this energy to conjure a Frostfall Tempest, an icy storm that assaults nearby adversaries, inflicting damage aligned with the Nightsoul’s Cryo ability.

◇ Upon acquiring the Passive Ability, “Star Garments of Itzpapalotl,” I, as Citlali, regain a specific number of Nightsoul points each time a fellow party member activates a “Nightsoul Eruption” in close proximity.

◆ Elemental Burst: Edict of Entwined Splendor

◇ Citlali unleashes a freezing blizzard toward her front, inflicting Area-of-Effect Cryo damage that aligns with the NightSoul. Additionally, she summons a SpiritVessel Skull close to her adversaries which detonates after some time, replenishing a predetermined amount of NightSoul energy for herself.

4-Star Character “Spring Woven From Jade” Lan Yan (Anemo)

◇ Vision: Anemo

◇ Weapon: Catalyst

◇ A skillful rattan craftswoman residing in the serene Chenyu Vale. With a clarity of mind and even temperament, she possesses an energy that’s akin to a bubbling mountain brook.

◆ Elemental Skill: Swallow-Wisp Pinion Dance

◇ Lan Yan calls forth a Swallow-Wisp Shield, charges ahead, then leaps back when she strikes her target. In mid-air, another press of her Elemental Skill or Normal Attack sends her Feathermoon Rings flying at an enemy. These rings whirl among nearby adversaries upon impact, causing Anemo damage.

◆ Elemental Burst: Lustrous Moonrise

As a gamer, I summon the Feathermoon Swallow Array, drawing in foes and surrounding objects close by, unleashing repeated bursts of Area-of-Effect Anemo damage.

◆ Passive Talent: Four Sealing Divination Charms

As I dash with my Elemental Skill, the Swallow-Wisp Shield and Feathermoon Rings I carry absorb the elemental properties of any foe they strike, adapting their defenses accordingly.

5-Star Character: Traveler (Pyro)

As a dedicated admirer, I find myself engaging with The Seven’s Statue, particularly the Pyro figure, to tap into the fiery essence it embodies. In this interaction, I unleash a fresh Elemental Skill and a powerful Elemental Burst, igniting the world around us!

◆ Elemental Skill: Flowfire Blade

◇ This entity unleashes a scorching flame and transitions into the state of the Blessing of the Night’s Soul. By tapping, you can call forth a “Blazing Barrier” that trails behind the active character. It periodically discharges Night’s Soul-aligned Pyro damage towards nearby enemies. By holding, you can summon a “Scorching Barrier” that follows the active character. This barrier initiates a Coordinated Attack, dealing Night’s Soul-aligned Pyro damage to opponents.

◆ Elemental Burst: Plains Scorcher

◇ Focus the fire into a symbol, unleashing Area of Effect Night-aligned Pyromantic damage on enemies in the front, while also replenishing the Traveler’s Night Soul energy points regularly for a set period after.

◆ Resonance Unlock Criteria:

Finish the “Where All Hopes Rest” within Archon Quest Chapter V, Act V “Luminous Elegy of Rebirth”

Act V “Bright Ballad of Renewal

◇ Giving offerings to the “Throne of the Primal Fire” will further enhance your Pyro abilities.

◆ Function Unlock Criteria:

• Complete Archon Quest Chapter V: Act V “Incandescent Ode of Resurrection”

II. New Equipment

New Weapons (Examples based on Refinement Rank 1)

A Thousand Blazing Suns (5-Star Claymore)

When utilizing an Elemental Skill or Burst, you’ll acquire the “Searing Luminosity” effect, which boosts Critical Damage by 20% and Attack by 28% for 6 seconds. This effect can occur once every 10 seconds. After normal or charged attacks inflict Elemental damage, the duration of this effect is increased by 2 seconds. This can happen once per second, with a maximum increase of 6 seconds.

Moreover, when the character wearing it is in the Nightsoul’s Blessing state, the “Searing Luminosity” effects are enhanced by 75%, and the duration will not decrease when the character is off-field.

At the “Epitome Invocation” gathering, there’ll be a significant increase in the chances of obtaining the 5-star sword, “A Thousand Blazing Suns (Claymore).” Enjoy your luck during this event!

Starcaller’s Watch (5-Star Catalyst)

Boosting Elemental Mastery by a hundred points, and upon your equipped character forming a shield, the immediate team member will deal 28% more damage to surrounding enemies for fifteen seconds, with this “Mirror of Night” effect being obtainable only once every fourteen seconds.

At the “Epitome Invocation” gathering, you’ll find an enormous increase in the drop rate for the unique 5-star weapon, Starcaller’s Watch (Catalyst)!

III. New Outfits

Hu Tao: Cherries Snow-Laden

◇ Hu Tao wears a dress in colors lighter than the usual dark attire of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor, this unique outfit being a gift from her close friend Xiangling. The sunglasses, however, belong to Hu Tao’s personal accessory collection.

Starting from February 10, 2025 at 3:59 AM, following the Version 5.3 update, you’ll have a chance to buy Hu Tao’s outfit “Cherries Snow-Laden” in the Character Outfit Shop. During this special period, the outfit will be offered at a reduced price of 1,350 Genesis Crystals. After the discount offer ends, the price will go back up to 1,680 Genesis Crystals. Keep in mind that you can only purchase this outfit once.

Xiangling: New Year’s Cheer

As a gamer, I find myself captivated by Xiangling’s attire. Her red coat radiates warmth, much like a heater in the midst of chilly winds. It’s Hu Tao who suggested the hat design, drawing inspiration from Guoba’s unique look – a fitting choice for Xiangling, indeed.

◆ In version 5.3, participants will have a chance to get Xiangling’s “New Year’s Cheer” attire at no cost by joining the temporary “Springtime Charms” event.

◆ After Version 5.3 is over, Travelers can buy the outfit in the Character Outfit Shop.

As a long-time fan of Genshin Impact, I wholeheartedly recommend using the “Quick Start” function to expedite progress through Archon Quest Chapter V: Act I “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn.” With my years of gaming experience under my belt, I can attest that this feature allows you to effortlessly advance in the storyline while keeping your current progress intact in existing Archon Quests.

Once you’ve employed the “Quick Start” function to complete Chapter V: Act I, you’ll be able to continue accepting and completing subsequent Acts of Chapter V until you unlock the latest Archon Quest or Tribal Chronicles that have been introduced in the current version update. This streamlined approach to gameplay allows for a more seamless experience, making it easier than ever to delve deeper into the captivating world of Teyvat.

V. New Enemies

Lord of Eroded Primal Fire

◇ A fell dragon, congealed from the power of pitch-black darkness.

In battle, the Tenebrous Papilla may inflict cumulative “Wear and Tear” damage, reducing your hero’s health over time. During combat, this creature also creates a protective barrier known as a Void Ward. To disrupt this shield, use elemental attacks; breaking it will cause the Papilla to become disoriented. Elemental attacks aligned with Nightsoul are particularly effective in shattering the Void Ward.

Located in the Tezcatepetonco Range

When you advance to Adventure Rank 40, you’ll have the option to take on the new boss’s domain directly using the ‘Quick Challenge’ feature within your Adventurer Handbook, all while playing in Solo (Single Player) mode.

Wayward Hermetic Spiritspeaker

A woman, a solitary practitioner of the Masters of the Night-Wind cult, living separately from her tribe to refine her skills and powers in seclusion.

As a veteran gamer with years of experience under my belt, I’ve learned that every battle requires a unique strategy to triumph. In this case, I propose a cunning maneuver: create multiple replicas of myself using Radiant Reflections, then blend in among them. While hidden, take out the Elemental Wards protecting each reflection, exposing and weakening the genuine adversary. To complicate matters further, Iktomisaurs and Masters of the Night-Wind characters can halt the movement of the reflections by holding their aim over them momentarily. This tactic will surely confuse my opponents and give me an edge in this challenging encounter.

As a seasoned adventurer who has traversed countless realms, I must say that my latest acquisition, “The Scroll of the Fiery Firmament,” is nothing short of extraordinary. This artifact was procured from none other than Tubby the teapot spirit through the Realm Depot’s Riches of the Realm section, following my successful completion of the Archon Quest Chapter V: Act I, “Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn.”

The journey to obtain this enigmatic scroll was no easy feat. It took me through the sweltering heat of the sun-scorched lands, where every step seemed to burn beneath my feet like coals. But with determination and perseverance, I pressed on, guided by the promise of a great discovery.

Upon receiving the scroll, I could feel its power radiating from within, as if the very heavens themselves had been captured in its pages. To further enhance the gaming experience, we have added a corresponding invitation duel and guest challenges for both Mualani and Clorinde on the Player List. 〓Adjustments & Optimizations〓

● Quests

Introduces a new feature that simplifies certain Domains within Archon Quests. This function becomes active either when all your party members have been defeated or when you choose to leave the Domain (previously, this option was exclusive to challenging formidable enemies).

● Open World

Following the software upgrade, once you’ve claimed your loot from Bosses after using 40 pieces of Original Resin, you won’t need to move elsewhere and wait for the Boss to reappear. Instead, the Bosses will instantly respawn at their original spot.

In the Natlan region, a new Teleport Waypoint is introduced within the Tezcatepetonco Range because of the addition of a new Boss. This modification has also altered the prerequisite number of unlocked Teleport Waypoints needed to achieve “Scaling the Scorching Sacred Mountain (II)”. For those who have already completed this achievement, the update will not affect their current status.

Modify the settings for both Pyroculus and Wind Current altitude at Natlan’s Ochkanatlan region, ensuring a more seamless gameplay when engaging with the associated task.

● Artifacts

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “When I use the ‘Artifact Salvage’ feature, it yields Sanctifying Essence and Sanctifying Unction at a rate of one Essence for every four Unctions. The total Artifact Experience earned stays consistent.

Following the update, the “Character – Artifact” interface will now emphasize suggested Artifact Enhancements tailored to your present character (information drawn from actively used characters by other players).

Within the “Enhance” interface for artifacts and while examining artifacts within the “Artifact” tab of a character’s profile, you can view the total number of enhancements applied to each minor affix.

Simplifies navigation by providing a quick link to the “Domains of Blessing” directly from the “Source” function, within the “Character > Artifacts > Recommended Sets” user interface.

Modifies the “Character > Artifact > Sort” user interface to include an option for arranging Artifacts according to their suggested sequence. This feature allows users to organize Artifacts based on their optimal Affixes for specific character roles and artifact positions.

Adds the option to pin and mark recommended Affixes to the “Character > Artifact > Sort” interface.

Enhances the “Character > Artifact > Artifact Recommendations” panel by incorporating a feature that allows for filtering options based on suggested Artifact sets and Affixes.

Increases the number of Artifacts that can be stored in the Inventory from 1,800 to 2,100.

● Reputation

Adds the “Quick Accept” feature to Natlan’s “Tribe Reputation > Bounties” interface.

In simpler terms, the “Rewards for Reputation” section within Natlan’s “Tribe Standing” now shows what benefits you earn upon fulfilling specific tasks.

In Natlan’s “Tribe Reputation > Bounties” display, the “Accept Bounty” page now clearly indicates the possible rewards on offer.

Improves the visibility and presentation of the “Recommended Quests (Plural)” pop-up within the “Tribe Reputation” section of Natlan’s interface in Tribal Chronicles.

● Genius Invokation TCG

Optimizes and standardizes the descriptions of effects for certain cards.

● Serenitea Pot

Following the update, furniture items and blueprints for furnishings initially available between versions 3.0 and 3.8 can now be purchased at a reduced price within the Realm Depot.

● Training Guide

As a seasoned gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can appreciate the importance of a well-organized interface when it comes to training guides in games. That’s why I wholeheartedly endorse the recent update that optimizes the layout of the “Training Guide” interface to display more detailed information. It makes navigating through the game so much smoother and less frustrating, allowing me to focus on my quest rather than getting lost in the details.

One feature I particularly enjoy is the tag that appears for Domains that correspond to a character’s Talent Materials or Weapon Ascension Materials when they are available for a limited time. This notification helps me keep track of important resources and ensures I don’t miss out on any opportunities to upgrade my characters. Overall, these improvements have greatly enhanced my gaming experience and I can’t wait to see what other updates the developers have in store!

Reduces the Adventure Rank requirements for certain tabs in the “Training Guide” interface.

As a gamer, I’d say: “I tweaked the condition for disabling that pesky ‘Training Guide’ pop-up. Instead of completing World Level 6 Ascension Quest at Adventure Rank 45, now you just need to level up your Adventure Rank to 50. The hint will show up when our team loses a battle or when the challenge difficulty exceeds our current strength significantly.

Adds a button to open the “Training Guide” to the “Character > Attribute” interface.

● Other Systems

Following the latest update, players with World Levels 8 and 9 can now seamlessly access one another’s worlds in Cooperative Play. The difficulty of enemies and rewards distributed will align with the World Level of the host player.

● Audio

Optimizes the sound effects of indwelt Qucusaurus when gliding.

Introduces fresh voice-overs for Ororon when entering the Speech of Spirits mode, as well as during interactions with pertinent items.

Optimizes the sound performance of certain objects and interfaces.

Enhances the smoothness of the background music as it transitions between different zones in Natlan.

As a seasoned voice actor with years of experience under my belt, I must say that Hu Tao’s voice line about Baizhu resonates deeply within me. Having voiced characters from various backgrounds and cultures throughout my career, I can genuinely appreciate the nuances in Hu Tao’s delivery.

When I first heard her talk about Baizhu, it felt as though I was revisiting an old friend. The warmth and affection in her words brought back memories of my own encounters with mentors who have played pivotal roles in shaping my life and career. It reminded me of the bond between a student and their teacher – the mutual respect, the shared struggles, and the unspoken understanding that develops over time.

In Hu Tao’s voice line, I heard echoes of gratitude and admiration for Baizhu’s wisdom and guidance. As an actor, I understand how precious those moments are when you find someone who truly understands your craft and supports your growth. It was a pleasure to bring that emotion to life through Hu Tao’s words.

In terms of phrasing, I would suggest the following: “Discussing Baizhu is like reminiscing about an old friend. The warmth in my voice reflects the profound impact he has had on me, and the deep respect I hold for his wisdom.

● Other

Adjusts the text descriptions of certain “Tutorials” in Natlan.

Enhances the authenticity of Echo cosmetics: As a character moves, stops, then eventually stands still, the visual effects associated with their Echo cosmetic will gradually dissipate, creating a more realistic effect.

At the start of “Springtime Charms,” Granny Shan, an NPC in Liyue, will start selling “Xiao Lanterns” permanently.

Following the update, any “Kaboom Box” set within the surroundings vanishes once characters engage in combat.

〓Bug Fixes〓

● Enemies

Addresses a problem that occurs when specific Bosses reappear, as their respawn position might become unpredictably influenced by Geo Structures.

Addresses an problem that occurred when confronting “Millennial Pearl Seahorse” and “Guardian of Apep’s Oasis,” where they might not sustain damage from Electro-Charged attacks.

This way, the sentence remains clear and easy to understand while maintaining a natural flow of language.

Addresses the problem where, during a confrontation with the “Polychrome Tri-Stars,” there was a minimal probability that they wouldn’t trigger their Elemental Boost upon being sent flying in the air while activating their Elemental Boost.

● Characters

Addresses a problem that occurred when Chasca activated her Elemental Burst within Co-Op Mode; the size of her “Soulsnipper: Ritual Staff” model appeared unusually large for other participants.

Addresses a problem that occurs when Chasca activates her Elemental Skill, causing her to levitate. In some specific scenarios, her movements or actions may appear irregular or unnatural.

Addresses a problem where, following the activation of Chasca’s Nightsoul Transmission, there was a possibility for the Nightsoul points to decrease excessively quickly.

In “Thespian Tricks: Perfect Partner” game, it rectifies a problem that had some lighting effects improperly stacked, leading them to go through the characters unusually.

Addresses a problem where, following Ororon’s jump into the air and activation of Aiming Mode, some skill icons would appear incorrectly or irregularly.

Addresses an occurrence in which, on numerous occasions when Ororon activated the Spiritspeaking mode and engaged with relevant items during jumps, there was a minimal probability of triggering an unexpected termination of the jumping phase.

Addresses a problem that occurs when jumping as Ororon, causing him to jump without any reduction in Stamina due to other Stamina-draining factors.

Addresses a problem that occurs when jumping with Ororon, causing his right arm’s animation during flight to appear irregular or unnatural.

Alters a problem occurring on Android devices with low graphics settings, where Ororon’s Elemental Burst could sometimes cause the summoned “Supersonic Oculus” to appear unclear or out of focus.
