India Air’s Lone Survivor Details Final Moments Before Plane Crash

The lone survivor of the Air India plane crash has spoken out.

Shortly following the fact that Vishwash Kumar Ramesh abandoned boarding the London-bound flight AI171 which catastrophically crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12, causing the demise of all other passengers, this British national divulged his account of the events preceding the disaster, as the aircraft was taking off from the airport.

In just thirty seconds, there came a deafening sound followed by the plane’s unfortunate crash,” Vishwash shared with The Hindustan Times. “Everything transpired at an astonishingly swift pace.

As a die-hard fan, hailing from the heart of the U.K., I too had a family connection to that fateful Boeing 787-8 flight. My dear brother was among its passengers. In the shockwaves following the crash, I felt compelled to share my immediate observations.

In his interview with News18, Vishwash stated, “I was surrounded by bodies, and debris from the plane was everywhere. A person managed to get ahold of me and transported me to an ambulance.

As reported by Sky News, Nayan Kumar Ramesh, his surviving brother, mentioned that Vishwash expressed confusion right after the crash, stating “I can’t find my brother anywhere. I don’t see any other survivors. I’m unsure how I managed to get out of the plane or how I’m still alive.

From his point of view, Nayan remarked, “It’s nothing short of a wonder that he made it through alive. Yet, isn’t there another extraordinary event happening to my other sibling?

After the unfortunate incident, Air India disclosed that among the deceased were 169 citizens of India, 52 from the United Kingdom, 7 from Portugal, and 1 from Canada. Furthermore, there were 12 crew members on board as well.

“Air India expresses heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families,” the corporation stated on X (previously Twitter) on June 12. “At this moment, our sole concern is catering to the needs of everyone involved, including their family members and dear ones.”

Due to a plane crashing into a building where medical students were having their lunch, authorities suspect that the final number of casualties from the crash may exceed just those on the plane, according to NBC News.

In reaction to the unfortunate incident, King Charles III expressed his sympathies, stating that he and Queen Camilla were deeply saddened by the distressing occurrences taking place in India.

In a statement released on X, the royal expressed sincere condolences and heartfelt prayers for everyone impacted by the devastating event that struck various nations. He also specifically honored the bravery of the emergency responders and those offering aid during this difficult and emotional period.
