Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Was the 2nd Best-selling Game in the US in its Launch Week

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must admit that the gaming industry never ceases to surprise me. The latest revelation about Indiana Jones and the Great Circle climbing its way up the sales charts has left me utterly thrilled.

According to insights from Circana analyst Mat Piscatella, it appears that the first-person action-adventure game developed by MachineGames, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, might have had a promising debut in the U.S., though official sales figures from Microsoft or Bethesda are yet to be disclosed.

During a discussion with BlueSky analysts, it was disclosed that the week ending December 14, which marked the global release of Indiana Jones: The Great Circle, saw the adventure game rank as the second highest-grossing title in the US, trailing only behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. However, this data does not include those who may have started playing through Game Pass to provide a more comprehensive view.

Remarkably, during the same period, Astro Bot climbed up the rankings from position 11 all the way to 7. This popular platformer was even bestowed with the Game of the Year award mid-week at The Game Awards.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle: A Critical Hit!

Indiana Jones: The Great Circle” is now playable on Xbox Series X/S and personal computers, with a release scheduled for PlayStation 5 this coming spring.

Instead of my regular practice of not sharing weekly rankings, I’d like to highlight an exception: Indiana Jones and the Great Circle climbed to the second spot in U.S. sales during the week ending December 14th, just behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Meanwhile, Astro Bot moved up from position 11 the previous week to number 7 during the same week as the Game Awards.
