Infinity Nikki – Exploration, Platforming, and Combat Showcased in Extensive New Gameplay

As a long-time fan of Papergames and their unique dress-up titles, I was absolutely thrilled to see some new gameplay for Infinity Nikki at ChinaJoy 2024! The combination of exploration, platforming, and dress-changing abilities is a perfect storm of excitement for me.

At ChinaJoy 2024, the anticipation grew for upcoming games such as “Astro Bot” and “Lost Soul Aside,” but “Infinity Nikki” by Papergames didn’t disappoint either. The stage unveiled some fresh gameplay, providing a glimpse into how exploration and platforming are executed in this intriguing title. For more details, take a look below, kindly shared by Gematsu.

In its essence, Infinity Nikki is not just a dress-up game but an open-world title as well, debuting surprisingly as late as 2012. Players have the freedom to change dresses with distinct abilities to overcome challenges. For instance, wearing a blue wavy dress lets you glide through the air, while donning a red dress that collects wind energy can be used to attack enemies.

Though combat may appear simple, the settings showcase an impressive scope and stunning visuals. At some point, the player will need to ride on a colossal paper crane to navigate safely.

The game “Infinity Nikki” will be available on PS5, PS4, PC, and mobile platforms in the future. No specific release date has been given yet, but there’s a beta version scheduled for Q3 2024. Keep an eye out for further announcements until then.
