Recently, fight enthusiasts have been savoring their gaming experiences due to the releases of Street Fighter 6, Tekken 8, and an upcoming Virtua Fighter title. There might even be additional options on the menu as there are rumors suggesting that Injustice 3 could potentially be under development, based on findings by a MultiVersus data miner!
Originating from NetherRealm Studios, a company founded by one of the creators of Mortal Kombat, Ed Boon, the Injustice series of games are spiritual descendants of the Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe games of old. They carry on the impressive combat systems that were featured in those earlier titles.
As someone who has provided accurate data in the past, we should approach this information cautiously, but it’s unfortunate how long it’s been since the last game, with Injustice 2 having been released in 2017. At this stage, we’ll gladly accept any updates or news that come our way.
For enthusiasts of superhero brawls, the 2021 movie titled “Injustice” was indeed a release, but the anticipation has been palpable, especially since then, except for the short-lived gaming experience with MultiVersus.
As a passionate fan, it’s disheartening to share that the studio responsible for MultiVersus, Player First Games, and its parent company Warner Bros Games have faced tough financial times. Regrettably, this situation has led to the closure of Player First Games, and the game servers will be shut down by the end of May. This leaves me, along with many other DC superhero fighting enthusiasts, searching for a new game to fill that void in our gaming lives.
However, might a hypothetical Injustice 3 game provide some relief in this situation? Let’s continue, and I’ll share what I’ve discovered!
Is Injustice 3 in development? Datamine explained

As per MultiverSusie on platform X (previously known as Twitter), there are rumors that an Injustice 3 might potentially be under development.
They alluded to as much in an X post which you can read just below.
Although they don’t explicitly confirm or deny the idea, their repeated use of “injustice” three times in the X post, followed by a “3” in the replies, seems to strongly imply that such a project might be under consideration.
It’s worth noting that MultiverSusie accurately predicted MultiVersus content prior to its official announcement. However, their accuracy in this instance doesn’t automatically guarantee they’re correct again, given the secretive nature of the project at hand, making it uncertain how they could have obtained such information.
Towards the end of their message, they express frustration with the phrase “leaving me without any leaks is yet another injustice.” However, it’s unclear if they are implying that they have been given confidential information (a leak) and are being sarcastic about its absence, or if they simply haven’t received any news at all.
Should additional specific details emerge, we’ll continue our usual practice of keeping you informed. Make sure to visit us frequently for updates!
