Kristin Cavallari knows that, if you’re looking for the right fit, you’ve got to try it on first.
And, if it’s uncomfortable, off it goes.
In the stage of my life I’m currently at, if I sense something is amiss or lacking in a relationship, I choose not to invest my time and energy on that person, as the Laguna Beach alum expressed during her Let’s Be Honest podcast in November. She added that she’s prompt in ending things with a potential partner if it doesn’t resonate with her feelings.
In my experience as a lifestyle enthusiast, I often find myself moving swiftly in determining if someone is suitable for me, and I’ve come to accept that some might perceive this as too quick. However, with so much to accomplish and explore in life, I prefer not to waste time lingering over indecision.
She clarified that she prefers straightforward interactions as a grown-up, saying something like, “Here’s my current situation,” and then moving on. In other words, she has decided to handle the matter directly and clearly.
The mother of Camden (12), Jaxon (10), and Saylor (9) – her children with ex-partner Jay Cutler – mentioned that she wasn’t seeking a new relationship, having recently parted ways with Mark Estes in September following a seven-month romance.
However, as the year wound down, it appeared that romance might be on the horizon. Cavallari confessed that she had started seeing someone, a 40-year-old former athlete, but for now, his identity will stay unnamed.
In her conversation on the December 30th episode of Bunny XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast, the founder of Uncommon Beauty expressed that she is cherished and consistently sought out by others. She admitted to being deeply connected with sporty men, like Cutler who played in the NFL for 12 seasons, and identified herself as a WAG (Wife/Girlfriend of an Athlete) at heart.
She made it clear that she wasn’t keen on dating individuals associated with entertainment or those she encountered through direct messages. This was something she expressed on her podcast back in November. It was through such DMs that she met Estes, whom she described as “extremely sweet and incredibly supportive,” but ultimately, he didn’t prove to be a suitable match for the long term.
Now, she’s testing out this potential athlete, mentioning to Bunny XO that he’s a “solid individual” who fits all the necessary criteria.
It’s uncertain if having experience with vasectomy is a requirement for Cavallari’s next partner, as she mentioned it among her preferences after breaking up with Estes. However, she did state that her current partner already has children from a prior relationship.
As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my enthusiasm for Cavallari embarking on a fresh journey of love in the upcoming year. She remains steadfast in her pursuit of finding the right partner, continually refining her search. Here’s to her in this new chapter!
You won’t discover what you’re looking for if you don’t venture out initially, and since Cavallari has been out exploring, delve into her past romances that led to her current, seemingly fresh yet intriguing relationship.
In a more conversational style: A first love is hard to forget, especially when MTV cameras are capturing all the ups and downs in the intense relationship. The audience got to witness the romantic saga between Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti unfold on Laguna Beach for two seasons. They started dating a year before the show began filming, and their storyline added fuel to one of TV’s iconic love triangles that also included Lauren Conrad.
Kristin expressed in her 2016 book, Balancing in Heels, that she had deeply cherished and fiercely battled alongside Stephen. Their bond, initially kindled during high school, evolved into the heart of a wildly popular television series. To Kristin, Stephen was the most valuable aspect of her life, and nothing else held as much significance. She found it excruciating to quarrel with him on screen, as it seemed like they were publicly exposing their private disputes.
Despite their romantic relationship failing to survive beyond high school, they’ve maintained a friendship. In fact, Kristin mentioned to TopMob News that Jay would be open to appearing on Very Cavallari.
2022 saw Talan Torriero, a well-known figure in Laguna Beach, talking candidly to TopMob News. He confessed that amidst all the attention on the LC-Stephen-KCav love triangle, there existed numerous other captivating storylines hidden behind the scenes. Not just his own, but also those of Kristin or even Lauren. As it turns out, while she was in high school, Lauren had relationships with some fascinating individuals who shunned the spotlight or were part of the show without their preference.
When it comes to my tumultuous relationship with Kristin, I must confess that there were connections formed before the show even premiered. If you will, we had some ‘hookups’ taking place. However, my interactions with Lauren didn’t start until later, during my second season or so. As for Kristin, our relationship spanned from our junior to senior years, on and off.
In the opening episode of the second season of Laguna, Stephen feels crushed when he discovers that Kristin has found a new relationship since his departure for college, with “Matt, a fellow student at USC”.
It turns out that the individual at USC was none other than Matt Leinart, their renowned football quarterback, who later played professionally in the NFL. Regrettably, Matt didn’t appear on the popular MTV show, and his relationship with Kristin didn’t last long.
In 2008, their encounter in Las Vegas stirred speculation about a possible reconciliation between Kristin and Matt, but as it turns out, they never formally reunited.
In the later seasons of The Hills, Kristin and Brody Jenner appeared to be in a fake romance. However, it’s worth noting that they had actually dated years before that, shortly after Kristin’s time on Laguna Beach ended, as they were introduced by Talan during those years.
Back in 2012, I proudly admitted on Bethenny that I had a brief romance with Brody when I was just 18, following his stint on Laguna Beach. Fun fact: The producers of The Hills even incorporated our relationship into a couple of their episodes!
Despite intermittent relationships spanning nearly a year, the couple officially ended things in 2006. As she explained to People, “It’s tough due to my busy work schedule,” but they remain friendly nonetheless.
In the early part of 2006, Kristin and Nick Lachey, who is known for being a member of 98 Degrees, found themselves at the center of romance speculation. This came shortly after his very public divorce from Jessica Simpson, which occurred a year prior to their encounter.
At that moment, Kristin dismissed the speculations, stating to People magazine, “There’s simply nothing to discuss, nothing is happening. He’s a great individual, but I must clarify that we are merely friends.
Indeed, I found myself drawn to evade the swift, piercing focus that had unexpectedly turned my way.
In her November 2024 podcast episode of ‘Let’s Be Honest’, she recounted that it was an uncontrollable period in her life as I became the focus of all tabloids almost instantaneously. Swarms of paparazzi were constantly trailing my steps, camping outside my home.
Following the conclusion of his “Newlyweds” chapter with Jessica, she remarked, “This was arguably the most significant event in 2006.” She went on to say, “It was quite an exhilarating journey.
Not long after her relationship with Brody ended, Kristin started seeing actor Nick Zano, a prominent figure for his role in the WB sitcom “What I Like About You.
The relationship was quite intense between them, as evidenced by Kristin getting his first names inked onto her wrist.
But when the pair called it quits in December 2007, Kristin had the tattoo removed.
2008 saw rumors swirling about Kristin allegedly being in a relationship with Chris Evans, who would later become Captain America. This was following reports by The New York Post that she and Chris were seen together, “getting cozy,” at the launch of Cabana One at the Mayfair Hotel in Miami.
Once more, Kristin refuted rumors about her personal relationships by stating to Us Weekly, “I’ve heard that too! No, we’re simply friends. I’ve known Chris for some time now, just through mutual acquaintances. We’ve actually known each other for a few years.
During the period when Kristin was portraying romantic scenes with Brody and Justin Bobby Brescia for The Hills, she was in fact secretly involved with someone off-screen.
In the year 2010, Kristin was in a secret relationship with MTV camerman Miguel Medina, even keeping it hidden not just from her fellow cast members Heidi Montag and Audrina Patridge, but also from them.
She shared with her ex-colleagues on Very Cavallari, “For a while, we were together secretly. During that time, I was portraying a relationship with Brody on the show, but in reality, Miguel and I were both part of the filming.
Later, she mentioned that as their work project neared its conclusion, their relationship became public knowledge due to the fact that paparazzi had photographed them at the airport a week prior to the show’s completion, thereby revealing their secret.
Following her breakup with Miguel, Kristin attracted the attention of NFL player Jay Cutler who was then quarterback for the Chicago Bears. A year into their relationship, Cutler made a significant move by proposing in 2011. However, Kristin called off the engagement just a few months later, as she mentioned in her book “Balancing In Heels”, stating that there were certain aspects that required modification.
As a die-hard fan, let me share my take on their journey. Back in August 2012, I cheered them on as they welcomed their firstborn son, Camden, into the world. Their bond grew stronger with each passing day, culminating in their beautiful wedding in June 2013. The team expanded further, with the addition of their second son, Jaxon, in May 2014, and their precious daughter, Saylor, in November 2015.
However, even the strongest teams face challenges. After years of seemingly solid gameplay, Kristin bravely opened up about the behind-the-scenes dynamics of their marriage since they announced their separation in April 2020.
In a candid conversation on The School of Greatness podcast last year, I shared that the most daunting experience in my life was going through a divorce. Yet, as challenging as it was, I can honestly say it’s been the most transformative decision I’ve ever made. It has ignited my journey towards self-discovery and understanding who I am today.
After her divorce from Jay, Kristin explored humor with the comedian Jeff Dye based in Los Angeles. However, even though they declared their feelings for each other during a live Instagram session in January 2021 using the phrase “It was never that serious to begin with”, an informant told TopMob News in March, revealing their separation. The source added that she was merely enjoying herself.
In November 2024, the comedian shared that they didn’t have a serious relationship. However, he acknowledged that she led him to believe there could be a possibility between them. He described her actions as making him feel like a pet dog.
By August 2021, Kristin had discovered a fresh duet collaborator in country artist Chase Rice. As reported by TopMob News at that time, an insider shared that their partnership was still casual, with the phrase “it’s new” describing its current state. Kristin has already attended one of his concerts and they seem to be enjoying themselves together.
However, it was discovered a few weeks ago that the Nashville locals seemed to be enjoying performances by themselves. Kristin herself mentioned on Instagram that she is currently single at this moment.
In late 2024, Kristin finally admitted to a past romantic involvement with the country singer, Morgan Wallen, amidst the ongoing mystery surrounding her love life.
In one of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast episodes from last December, I shared my thoughts, saying, “He was an exceptional companion for casual encounters,” emphasizing that he excelled in our intimate moments.
And he’s got some smooth moves out of the bedroom as well.
On our initial outing, he truly exhibited chivalry, as she noted. Moreover, he casually mentioned, ‘I’ll come to get you, I’ll choose the spot,’ showing he was fully in control of the situation. Later, after we left the venue, “He kissed me under the rain,” she disclosed, which was the most charming moment.
Despite Kristin labeling Mark Estes as the “best boyfriend” she’s ever known, she was open about the challenges she faced due to their significant age difference of 13 years.
In her podcast in October 2024, she explained that she ended things with Mark as she felt it wasn’t suitable for the long term. She clarified that it wasn’t due to a lack of love or any negative incidents; neither did they cheat nor were they unkind. Instead, she expressed that those types of breakups are often the most challenging.
She pointed out, “In the end, it’s about him needing to live and learn through experiences.” She added, “He’s still young, and I can feel it myself with all the life lessons I’ve gathered. At 24, a lot had already happened in my life. Those years are significant; they shape who you become. That’s when you discover yourself, and he needs that opportunity.
