Nick Jonas has a number of biggest fans.
The member of the Jonas Brothers is back on Broadway after over a decade, appearing in “The Last Five Years” (with previews starting March 18). He shared how his family, including wife Priyanka Chopra, brother Kevin Jonas, and brother Joe Jonas, are all offering their encouragement and support.
He shared with TopMob News during an exclusive interview with co-star Adrienne Warren that his family will be there for some parts of this experience, which he finds enjoyable. Additionally, he mentioned that on the opening night, his brothers are likely to attend, and his parents as well. Nick went on to say, “It truly provides a sense of stability and offers the tranquility necessary for tackling something demanding, both physically on stage and emotionally.
It’s crucial to have loved ones close by, given how deeply personal and emotional the story of both his and Adrienne’s characters unfolds each night. This musical portrays their tumultuous relationship as it evolves through five years of love and separation.
Nick, who has a 3-year-old daughter Malti with Priyanka, put it this way: “It’s comforting to return home where you can unwind on the couch, enjoy some hugs, and gather whatever relaxation you need.
Despite understanding that coming back to the stage would demand both emotional and physical effort, Nick is content with this scenario and wouldn’t prefer anything different.
He mused, “Appreciating every day and every performance will be crucial.” He added, “I don’t want to sound sentimental, but it’s a privilege to be here and perform on Broadway. There are so many gifted individuals worldwide who sadly miss out on this chance. I can hardly believe that I get to set foot on those stages and perform.
For Adrienne, she’s also feeling grateful for her scene partner.
