This weekend, the Pixar movie reached another milestone by becoming the first-ever animated movie to cross $1 billion overseas.
As a passionate movie enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that, according to Deadline, Inside Out 2 has smashed the international box office by raking in an impressive $1.003 billion! This brings its global total to a staggering $1.649 billion. Interestingly, only 12 films have ever managed to surpass $1 billion at the international box office, making Inside Out 2 a truly remarkable achievement.
As a longtime moviegoer and someone who’s been following the film industry for years, I must say that this year has been particularly exciting. Disney has truly outdone itself with the release of “Inside Out 2” and the action-packed team-up of “Deadpool & Wolverine”. The success these films have achieved at the box office is nothing short of astounding – earning over $3 billion! It’s a testament to Disney’s ability to consistently deliver high-quality entertainment that resonates with audiences of all ages. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
Will Inside Out 3 Happen?
According to Pixar executive Pete Docter, they are brainstorming concepts for a potential third installment of the movie titled “Inside Out.”
Doctor mentioned that we find ourselves in a similar position post the movie [“Inside Out”]. Essentially, we’re pondering, “What could we possibly do next?” and brainstorming potential ideas. The future remains uncertain for now.
He mentioned that concepts from both “Inside Out” and its sequel might be incorporated in a hypothetical “Inside Out 3”. When directing the original movie, he felt as though there was a vast universe to explore, but only a small part of it was presented to us.
“Doctor mentioned that it would be wonderful if our view seemed limited to just three percent of this immense universe, leaving much more undiscovered. That means there’s plenty left to discover and many ideas from the first or second movie that didn’t align with the story or themes, but we have a wealth of unexplored possibilities now.”
