Intel’s new CEO, Lip-Bu Tan, will deliver a keynote speech to enterprise audiences at Vision 2025 — Streamed live on YouTube

Recently, Intel announced Lip-Bu Tan as its new CEO following the unexpected departure of Pat Gelsinger. According to Intel’s official site, one of Tan’s initial tasks in this position will involve delivering a keynote speech at Intel Vision 2025.

As an analyst, I am sharing that I’ve been invited to an exclusive gathering scheduled from March 31st through April 1st in the vibrant city of Las Vegas. The event is specifically designed for business managers, tech-savvy leaders, and high-level stakeholders within the corporate hierarchy.

Intel Vision 2025 mainly concentrates on cloud and edge AI computing for business sectors. Lip-Bu Tan’s keynote, named “A New Intel,” will be live-streamed on Intel’s YouTube channel at 2 PM Pacific Time (5 PM Eastern Time). He plans to greet attendees and share his thoughts during the presentation.

During the initial keynote speech, which could run for as long as 45 minutes, it’s difficult to predict word-for-word what will be discussed.

Instead, Lip-Bu Tan could delve deeper into the “difficult choices” he hinted at during the latest town hall gathering, or alternatively, focus on providing a comprehensive overview of his visionary plans for Intel’s future strategy.

Regardless of the approach, it’s almost certain that Intel will prioritize their Foundry division and chip manufacturing, considering the ongoing growth of AI-focused hardware and competitive pressure from other market players in this field.

I plan to tune in to the initial keynote for any insights from Lip-Bu Tan, particularly regarding the Intel 18A process and the upcoming Panther Lake mobile processors, as well as its successor, the anticipated Intel 18AP.

Pat Gelsinger wishes good luck to Lip-Bu Tan

In a recent interview with CNBC, the ex-CEO of Intel expressed his wholehearted backing for the team and Lip-Bu, hoping for their utmost success as they strive to accomplish the company’s objectives. He extended his best wishes to Intel and Lip-Bu, wishing them well on this pivotal journey they are embarking upon (as reported by Tom’s Hardware).

Nevertheless, it didn’t arrive without a word of warning from Gelsinger to the new CEO about the pressures of Wall Street’s short-term focus, including the struggle to meet investor expectations and financial targets in such a demanding position. Contrary to Bloomberg’s reports suggesting Pat Gelsinger was forced out, he remains hopeful for the company’s future prosperity.

As Lip-Bu Tan takes over as Intel’s CEO following his departure from the board in late 2024, there is a great deal of expectation placed upon him. It seems clear that Intel will require substantial modifications at its foundation. During his inauguration, Tan expressed enthusiasm about transforming the business to better serve customers and generate value for shareholders, stating, “I see considerable potential for redefining our operations in ways that cater more effectively to our clientele and benefit our stockholders.

As a tech enthusiast, I can’t help but ponder over what exactly “reimagining” our business truly entails – it’s one of those intriguing mysteries that’s been on my mind lately. However, I don’t think we’ll have to wait much longer to uncover the answers!
