Interview with the Vampire season 3 release date speculation
I’m eagerly anticipating the third season of Interview with the Vampire, but unfortunately, I don’t have the precise release date just yet – my best bet is that it will come out some time in 2025.
The show was officially renewed in June 2024, just before the season 2 finale aired.
For context, season 1 was released in October 2022, while season 2 started airing in May 2024.
2022 saw a delay in the start of that particular season due to the SAG-AFTRA strike. Here’s hoping that this will accelerate the release schedule for Season 3.
In June 2024, before the final episode of Season 2 aired in the US, it was announced that there would be a third season. This upcoming season will draw from Anne Rice’s second novel in the series, titled “The Vampire Lestat.”
As a heartfelt admirer, I express my deep gratitude to the extraordinary talent behind the scenes in both the initial and subsequent seasons who’ve collectively brought us to this triumphant day. Kudos to you all!
We’re grateful for the passionate and creative fans who went above and beyond to help bring us to this point. A big thank you to Dan McDermott and Ben Davis for their generous financial support and resources, enabling us to continue our mission of adapting Anne Rice’s remarkable novels into dramas.
“Apologies from Monsieur L to Sam Reid’s loved ones for still holding onto him. He vows to give back his body once it’s no longer required (hopefully, this day never comes).”
Interview with the Vampire cast – Who will return for season 3?
Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson are confirmed to reappear in Interview with the Vampire’s third season, as mentioned in AMC’s announcement releasing information about several returning characters.
Among the cast are Armand, portrayed by Assad Zaman, Molloy acted by Eric Bogosian, and Sam, brought to life by Christopher Geary, along with others.
In the meantime, certain characters who were previously with us may not make an appearance again. For example, it’s hard to imagine that Claudia, played by Delainey Hayles, or Madeleine, portrayed by Roxane Duran, will be back since their characters met their ends during season 2.
Based on AMC’s announcement that season 3 will be produced, here is a complete roster of the actors expected to rejoin the show:
- Sam Reid as Lestat de Lioncourt
- Jacob Anderson as Louis de Pointe du Lac
- Assad Zaman as Armand
- Eric Bogosian as Daniel Molloy
- Christopher Geary as Samuel ‘Sam’ Barclay
- Justin Kirk as Raglan James
- Gopal Divan as Fareed
- Joseph Potter as Nicolas de Lenfent
Interview with the Vampire season 3 plot: What will happen?
Interview with the Vampire season 3 will be based on Anne Rice’s novel The Vampire Lestat.
In the third season, dissatisfied with how he was depicted in the sensational novel “Interview with the Vampire,” the vampire Lestat decides to tell his own story in an unique way – by forming a band and embarking on a tour.
1. “Gabrielle, Nicholas, Magnus, Marius – The Confidential Group – are now accompanying Louis, Armand, Molloy, Sam, Raglan, Fareed, and others we’re currently sworn to secrecy about, on a passionate journey through dimensions of space, time, and suffering. No synthetic sound enhancement. No preemptive warnings. Every emotion is intensified.”
At San Diego Comic-Con, fans were treated to a look at the vampire’s rocky alter-ego.
After the season 2 finale, Jones shared with Variety in an interview how season 3 would depart from the previous two seasons. He mentioned that “Lestat will now take center stage, shaping the narrative, giving the impression that the show is being controlled by Lestat himself.”
“The atmosphere will change distinctly, not resembling a conversation between two elderly men pondering their connection. Instead, it’ll be like standing beside Lestat de Lioncourt – a character you’re familiar with in an approximately 80% accurate portrayal – as he ignites with passion and recklessness. So buckle up for an exciting and potentially risky experience!”
