Interview With the Vampire Showrunner Teases Popular Storyline in Season 3

As a devoted fan who has delved deep into the mystical world of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles for decades, I can hardly contain my excitement over the impending Season 3 of Interview With the Vampire! The tantalizing prospect of exploring the Devil’s Minion storyline featuring Daniel and Armand has me positively giddy.

In addition to The Vampire Lestat, fans of Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles may also look forward to other intriguing elements in Season 3 of Interview With the Vampire. According to showrunner Rolin Jones, the AMC series’ third season plans to delve into the well-liked “Devil’s Minion” storyline involving Daniel and Armand. Jones revealed that the team has been considering this storyline for quite some time, and aspects of Season 3 will be guiding us towards it.

Jones mentioned, “For some time now, we’ve been pondering over this. What I can tell you is that there will be clues pointing in the direction of the Devil’s followers.”

The “Devil’s Minion” tale originates from the third book of Rice’s “The Vampire Chronicles,” titled “Queen of the Damned.” More specifically, it’s a chapter named “The Story of Daniel, Armand’s Devoted Follower, or the Boy from ‘Interview With the Vampire.'” This chapter reveals Daniel’s name and shares details about his life after his interview with Louis. In pursuit of Lestat, Daniel journeyed to New Orleans, where he attracted the interest of Armand instead. Over time, Armand became infatuated with Daniel, but their relationship was complex.

How Could the Devil’s Minion Storyline Work in Season 3?

In essence, since AMC’s adaptation of Interview With the Vampire presents a unique take on Daniel and Armand’s tale – with Armand transforming Daniel after Daniel reveals his long-hidden truth about Louis’ trial – the narrative will likely deviate in certain aspects. Nevertheless, actor Assad Zaman, who portrays Armand, has expressed readiness to delve deeper into this revised storyline as reported by Screen Rant.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but express my excitement about this season. It’s clear to me that it was crafted to narrate a unique tale in multiple dimensions. While our primary focus has been on unfolding Louis’ story and concluding the saga of Interview With the Vampire, we haven’t forgotten to include tantalizing hints of stories yet to be told.

He added, “I’ve been open about my readiness to take on the ‘Devil’s Minion’ path with either Eric, Luke, or even both of them. It could make for an intriguing, alternative universe storyline if we explore a three-way scenario.”

What Will Season 3 of Interview With the Vampire Be About?

In the third season of Interview With the Vampire, displeased with his portrayal in the popular but inferior novel ‘Interview With The Vampire,’ the character Vampire Lestat decides to retell his story in a unique way – by forming a band and embarking on a tour. Joining him are Gabrielle, Nicholas, Magnus, Marius, Those Who Must Be Kept, as well as Louis, Armand, Molloy, Sam, Raglan, Fareed, and others whose identities we can’t reveal yet. This journey takes them on a sensual exploration through space, time, and personal turmoil. There will be no digital sound manipulation or content warnings. Every emotion will be intensified.

Previously, Jones mentioned that Lestat will take the main role, implying that the show might appear as if it’s been taken over by Lestat. Visually, he suggests preparing for a portrayal of the show that embodies Lestat’s version, in terms of its feel and appearance.
