As a die-hard fan of Invincible, I couldn’t be more thrilled about Sterling K. Brown‘s Emmy Award nomination for his portrayal of Angstrom Levy in Season 2! The way he brought this menacing and cunning villain to life was truly captivating, and the final battle between Mark Grayson and Levy left me on the edge of my seat.
The invincible character made a comeback for the second part of its animated series’ second season this year. Consequently, it secured its initial Emmy Award nomination, which can be attributed to Sterling K. Brown’s exceptional voice acting. The second season of Invincible commenced last autumn with the premiere of the first four episodes. In these episodes, Mark Grayson encountered a new threat as he grappled with the aftermath of his father’s actions in the previous season. However, this time around, the antagonist was seeking retaliation due to Mark’s actions in another dimension.
In the second installment of “Invincible,” viewers were introduced to the menacing figure of Angstrom Levy, who meticulously waited for the perfect moment to pounce on Mark. Levy’s character developed significantly towards the end of the season, which aired earlier this year. The captivating portrayal of the antagonist by Sterling K. Brown earned him a nomination for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance in the episode “I Thought You Were Stronger.” Take a peek at Invincible’s recognition for this achievement below.

However, this wait gives me ample time to delve deeper into the captivating world of the first two seasons and the standalone Atom Eve episode, all available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The showrunners have tantalizingly hinted at the thrilling developments in Season 2 by sharing these intriguing teasers:
In the comic book created by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker, and Ryan Ottley, the narrative centers around Mark Grayson, an 18-year-old boy who is like any other young adult, with one exception: his father was the most powerful superhero on Earth. Following Nolan’s shocking deceit in Season One, Mark endeavors to put the pieces of his life back together as he confronts a multitude of new perils. Simultaneously, he grapples with his deepest fear – the possibility that he could unknowingly transform into his formidable father.
