Invincible Season 4 Spoilers: 5 Epic Moments We Can’t Wait to See!

If you found the third season of Invincible on Amazon Prime Video packed with blood, action, and superhero suspense, then prepare for even more excitement as the series moves forward! Assuming it stays true to its origins, the animated show is gearing up to explore uncharted territory when it resumes next year. Notably, creator Robert Kirkman has hinted that the fourth season will feature an entirely new narrative not present in the original comic. There are several key moments, however, that we’re eagerly anticipating for Mark Grayson and his team of heroes to experience!

Heed this: For those eagerly anticipating Invincible Season Four without any spoilers, beware, we’re about to delve into some significant plot revelations. At the conclusion of Season Three, Mark Grayson found himself grappling with numerous unresolved mysteries in his universe. Conquest was discovered not to be deceased, but instead imprisoned by Cecil Stedman for information on the Viltrumite Empire. The Sequids are preparing to launch a new attack on Earth following their earlier defeat, while Damien Darkblood has his own subversive schemes brewing in the underworld. As for Mark, he made it clear that he was prepared to take lethal action against any threats to his loved ones. With these developments in mind, let’s explore our expectations for the upcoming season.

Dinosaurus Arrives

Indeed, Dinosaurs isn’t just a colossal villain with a blend of human and Tyrannosaurus Rex traits; he’s far more complex than that. Although he may not be the largest antagonist appearing in the fourth season, he could very well prove to be one of the most intriguing. His power is bolstered by an impressive intellect, making him a contemplative villain within the Invincible universe. If the animated series adheres to the source material, Dinosaurs will undoubtedly make an appearance next year. The dinosaur-human hybrid’s powers are unlocked in a remarkably amusing manner, and it will be captivating to see which voice actor breathes life into him.

Thragg Makes Landfall

In the animated adaptation of “Invincible,” the most formidable villain from its history hasn’t made an appearance in the first three seasons, but creator Robert Kirkman has announced that Thragg will debut in season four. Moreover, Kirkman has revealed that a voice actor has been selected for this pivotal role, though he hasn’t disclosed who will be voicing the king of the Viltrumites as of yet. If you found Conquest intimidating, wait until you meet Thragg. By the way, Conquest was indeed a formidable adversary…

Conquest’s Return

In the fourth season, it’s hardly unexpected that Conquest will make an appearance, considering he was confirmed alive in the final episode of Invincible’s third season. Despite Mark dealing a severe blow to Conquest, reducing his head to pulp, Cecil has kept the living Viltrumite securely imprisoned. While Mark emerged victorious against Conquest, it doesn’t guarantee an effortless triumph for Grayson in their next encounter. After all, Invincible barely scraped by in this battle. Certainly, Conquest’s reappearance is a significant part of a broader narrative arc.

The Viltrumite War

Mark Grayson and his companions won’t just battle Thragg and Conquest; they’ll engage the whole Viltrumite Empire, marking the largest conflict Mark has faced yet and arguably one of the most significant showdowns throughout the series. Despite Invincible being recognized for intense, action-packed fights, the Viltrumite War seems to embody a Dragon Ball Z-style battle in Western animation. To put it mildly, this fight may claim lives we didn’t expect to lose, and it might extend beyond the scope of this single season.

Damien Darkblood’s Original Storyline

Without a doubt, the fourth season’s narrative could take everyone by surprise, as Damien Darkblood’s journey, which was not present in the initial comic series, is about to unfold. Due to Cecil Stedman’s efforts to conceal Omni-Man’s treachery, Darkblood found himself in the underworld. In a Hellboy-esque fashion, he intends to drag someone with him into this dark realm. Although Mark or Nolan seem to be the leading candidates for this descent, viewers are left guessing which Viltrumite will eventually join them below.

In a recent conversation this month, Kirkman revealed additional insights about an upcoming original storyline, stating, “In the comics, Damian Darkblood never went to hell. He was a fascinating character we admired since the first season, and Clancy Brown’s portrayal of him was exceptional. We’ve always yearned to find a way to bring Damian back into the series, and now — should I spoil this? There’s a storyline from the comics that I never got a chance to develop. Every superhero tale includes a chapter where they journey to hell and confront the devil. This occurs in DC and Marvel comics. It’s a significant event. I never managed to incorporate anything like that into ‘Invincible.’ I kept getting distracted, and there was never an opportune moment. So it’s plausible that we might explore something similar in the series, and the scene at the end of that episode could be hinting at that.

Mark & Nolan’s Reunion

In the initial two seasons, Mark and Nolan’s relationship took some unexpected turns, with them not meeting each other. However, this is set to change during the third season of Invincible, as the onset of the Viltrumite War necessitates cooperation between Omni-Man and his son. With the Viltrum Empire in their sights, there are plenty of unresolved issues between the Graysons, given Nolan’s recent shift in perspective in the more recent narratives.
