At Disney Plus, you’ll find three distinct subscription options:
1. The Standard with Ads plan is priced at £4.99 monthly.

3. For a premium experience, the Premium subscription costs £10.99 per month.

It offers a wealth of Marvel content, such as the new series Echo and Secret Invasion, along with timeless classics like the Avengers movies. In terms of sci-fi, you’ll find the ever-popular Star Wars franchise, as well as its related productions like The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka.
Beyond just sci-fi and superhero stories, Disney Plus offers a variety of shows. Among the top picks is Only Murders in the Building, a dark comedy featuring Selena Gomez and this season, Meryl Streep. In other areas, you’ll find mature comedies like Family Guy and intense dramas such as It’s a Sin.

What Disney Plus could do better
As a dedicated fan, I must admit that the thrill of new releases from established franchises can be hard to resist. However, these aren’t always perfect gems. In our Ahsoka review, we pointed out that the latest Star Wars spin-off on Disney Plus started off a bit sluggishly. The solutions to some life-threatening problems seemed too effortless, and honestly, it didn’t quite measure up to the best Star Wars experiences we’ve had.
Just as Marvel’s characters, whether they are heroes or villains, enjoy a large fan base, this doesn’t always correlate with praise from critics.
To note, Disney Plus seems to lack a significant number of smaller, indie productions compared to competitors such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, making it simpler for users to discover them elsewhere.

Our verdict: should you subscribe to Disney Plus?
Many people find Disney Plus an essential streaming service due to its widely-loved franchise offerings. This has certainly been evident in the past year, as increasing subscriber counts demonstrate.
Moreover, the subscription platform is exclusive for viewing Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (her version).
Occasionally, Disney seems to rely too much on well-known brands and characters, rather than creating fresh content from lesser-known studios. This tendency has resulted in some underwhelming additions to the Star Wars and Marvel franchises, such as Morbius, which our reviewers rated just two stars, and Stargirl.
