Is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 on Xbox?

Is Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 coming to Xbox?

Absolutely! The sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance is planned for release on Xbox gaming platforms. It will support play on both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S; however, it won’t be compatible with the Xbox One lineup of devices.

Kingdom Come 2 is headed to Xbox systems

2024 was a fantastic year for gaming, with numerous new releases, and it appears that 2025 will follow suit. The start of this year has only just begun, but the approaching release date of one of its most eagerly awaited games – Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 – is fast-approaching. Scheduled to be released on February 4, the highly anticipated sequel from Warhorse Studios to their original medieval open-world RPG is one of the year’s most significant titles.

In my excitement as a devoted fan, I can’t help but share the intriguing news about Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. The developers are reportedly expanding the 15th Century Bohemia landscape by a whopping twofold compared to the original game – and if history repeats itself, we’re in store for a captivating array of side quests, interactive and responsive NPCs, as well as breathtaking countryside vistas, bloody battlefields, and everything in between. With an RPG like this generating such buzz, it’s only natural that many gamers are eager to know whether they can experience the sequel on their Xbox consoles.

Excitingly, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is indeed planned for Xbox platforms! It’s important to note though, that the game will only be available on the newer systems such as the Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Unfortunately, this means that those still using an Xbox One console won’t be able to play it, since the game won’t be released on last-generation machines.

What are the game’s other platforms?

It’s exciting that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is coming out for Xbox Series X|S next month! But if you’d rather play it on another system, here’s some good news: The game will also be available on several other platforms.

If you prefer using a console, you can enjoy the historical RPG on PlayStation, similar to its counterpart on Xbox. However, be aware that it’s exclusive to PS5 and won’t run on PS4, so consider this if you plan to purchase from Sony’s platform. On the other hand, if your PC is powerful enough (don’t forget to review our guide on system requirements), the PC version available on Steam or the Epic Games Store might be the superior choice. This is because it costs $59.99 on PC, a significant $10 cheaper than the console editions of the game. Currently, you can get an even better deal on CDKeys, with the game selling for just $44.59 due to a preorder offer, meaning you’ll save a lot of money by playing on PC.

Considering Microsoft’s Xbox Game Pass, playing games like Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 might be possible in the future, although it may not be immediately accessible at launch. Previously, the original Kingdom Come joined Game Pass a year after its release and remained there for about a year. Therefore, it’s plausible that a similar scenario could occur with the sequel.

The sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, titled Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, is slated for release on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC (including Steam and Epic Games Store), and PS5 on February 4, 2025. Preorders are currently available at $59.99 for the PC version and $69.99 for console versions. If your system can handle it, opting for the PC edition is the best choice.
