In the current Elbaf storyline of the “One Piece” series, Prince Loki makes his debut. He was initially hinted at during the Whole Cake Island Arc when it was revealed he sought to wed Lola Charlotte. However, a marriage alliance with the Big Mom Pirates fell through as both Lola eloped and Loki refused to marry his twin sister Chiffon. The character is formally introduced in Chapter 1130, but we find him affixed to a cross in the Underworld, serving time for murdering his father, King Harald. Among the Giants, there’s widespread disdain for their prince due to suspicions that he took their king’s life in order to obtain a powerful devil fruit.
In my observations, I’ve come across a character known as Loki, the Rebellious Prince of Elbaf. He was notorious for stirring up trouble in the villages, earning him a less-than-favorable reputation among the locals. Yet, despite their disdain towards him, the Giants seemed to tolerate his presence, perhaps due to some unspoken understanding or fear.
However, things took a turn when Loki allegedly took the life of their revered King. This act of defiance was the final straw that led the Giants to take action against him. Since Loki was on the run and traveling across the seas, it was Shanks who came to their aid in capturing the elusive prince.
However, beneath his mischievous exterior and notorious reputation, there may be more to Loki than meets the eye. The manga has dropped several hints that suggest he is not entirely evil, despite his desire to bring about destruction. Instead, it seems as though he harbors a secret, one that could change our perception of him altogether.
His sword was depicted as being impaled by Loki, while Yaruru asserted it was shielded by his helmet. Yet, if you carefully observe his facial expression during that instance, you’ll discern he turned away his eyes. This could imply that there is a hidden truth surrounding the event, which might have been known only to Loki and Yaruru.

One Piece’s Elbaf Arc Will Soon Reveal the Truth Behind Harald’s Death
Cluefully dropped in One Piece Chapter 1137 was when Jarul glanced away as he claimed to be struck by Loki. Few were present at Harald’s demise, yet Jarul possesses the facts. It’s plausible that he conceals the truth for Elbaf’s benefit, and Loki is aware of this. Interestingly, even though Loki appeared menacing during their initial encounter, there was a bond between him and Luffy formed at that time. Despite his casual demeanor, Luffy tends to perceive people accurately.
– Not only did Luffy opt to trust Loki, who ridiculed Shanks, but he also struck a bargain with the Cursed Prince. We’ve witnessed Loki’s determination to break free from his shackles. However, when given the chance by Shamrock and Gunko to join the Holy Knights, Loki steadfastly declined. Instead, he scornfully mocked them, showing contempt for both the Celestial Dragons and the Holy Knights. Even under torture by Gunko, Loki remained unyielding. Given his capacity for treachery, demonstrated by his willingness to kill his own father, it’s unlikely that he would opt for an easy escape.
As a fervent admirer, I embody the principles of a valiant and honorable warrior, much like Loki, the giant. Just as he does, I hold Nika dear and aspire to mirror the mythical warrior’s prowess. Moreover, the monstrous creatures in the Underworld aren’t merely agents of destruction. They formed bonds with Luffy, just as they are loyal to me. It seems these beasts are attracted to compassionate individuals, trusting me implicitly and ready to risk their lives for my protection. In Chapter 1136, upon the wolf’s selfless sacrifice for Gunko, I grieved deeply but vowed to harness that rage and annihilate the world in return.
Loki Could Be a Victim of the World Government’s Plot
In chapter 1137 of “One Piece”, Shamrock openly declares his intention to undermine Elbaf, suggesting he may have been plotting this move for a considerable period. It’s plausible that his actions are not mere attempts to challenge the strongest kingdom on earth without strategic thought. The World Government, known for their greed for Giants’ power, placed a special bounty of 2.6 billion berries on Loki six years ago, indicating their long-term interest in the most powerful Giant. This suggests they have been eyeing the strongest Giant for several years.
As an ardent enthusiast, I’ve been actively fostering trade ties beyond the borders of Elbaf, a move that might have caught the watchful eye of the World Government. My people adore me, and I’ve always championed peace over conflict. It’s plausible that my actions could’ve been perceived as a threat, particularly if Elbaf were to break its isolation and form alliances with other nations. This shift in our foreign policy might have presented a challenge for the World Government, especially if represented by Shamrock, who framed Loki for the murder of his father. Such an action could explain why Loki remains fixated on the destruction of the world.
In a more straightforward manner: The Giants, though powerful, cherish tranquility in their realm. They dread the notion of their serene land being transformed into a battleground. It’s possible that Jarul is concealing the truth to preserve the delicate peace within their nation. However, the Holy Knights have arrived at Elbaf, and they are determined to achieve their objectives, regardless of the destruction it may cause to the kingdom.
