As a compassionate observer, it is truly heart-wrenching to follow Isabella’s journey through her health battles. Her resilience and strength are undeniable, as she faces each challenge with an unwavering spirit that inspires us all. It’s evident that she has a remarkable support system in her family, and I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster they must be experiencing too.
Isabella Strahan is embracing her wellness journey.
19-year-old daughter of Good Morning America co-host Michael Strahan shared another progress report on her cancer recovery, thriving in Los Angeles after resuming studies at the University of Southern California in August.
Isabella, daughter of Michael’s former partner Jean Muggli, shared numerous photos on Instagram from a wellness trip to Alo Gym with her twin sister Sophia. The posts featured multiple selfies taken side by side while wearing coordinating exercise outfits.
In these charming pictures, Isabella proudly displayed her expanding hair, a development that fans have been enthusiastically praising since she finished her final chemotherapy session for treating medulloblastoma – a rare type of brain cancer – in June.
The USC student captioned the carousel post “wellness reminder,” and she included a photo of an inspiring quote on the wall at the fitness center that read, “Feel it. Just breath. Lift each other up. Raise your vibration. Health is wealth. Be here.”
One person commented, “Both you and your sister are stunning.” They wished for eternal good fortune and a lifetime without cancer.
Another remarked, “Name a more iconic duo… I’ll wait.”
Initially, Isabella responded to remarks about her regrown hair following the upload of a TikTok video, upon resuming college in August.
After someone pointed out, “hair growing in so prettyyy,” she replied, “Thanks wifey.”
One commenter said, “You two are stunning, I hope you’re both continually blessed with good health and never have to face cancer again.

In October 2023, during her first year at USC, Isabella underwent an emergency operation to take out a malignant brain tumor. This procedure took place only a day before her birthday, which was just a few months into the academic year.
Over the past year, she had three more operations on her brain, followed by radiation treatment and several sessions of chemotherapy. In a YouTube video uploaded in July, she declared that she was now completely cancer-free, as her latest MRI scans were clear and showed no signs of the disease.
In the video, Isabella mentioned she doesn’t have another doctor’s visit until October. She expressed her longing for her doctors and everyone who has assisted her due to their kindness. She seems quite melancholic today, as she realizes it will be some time before she can return because she cherishes them so dearly.

Isabella Strahan, the child of previous partners Michael Strahan and Jean Muggli, didn’t detect any signs of health issues until around early October 2023. This is when she began having persistent headaches and feelings of sickness.
Following a day when she vomited blood, her father persuaded her to undergo a comprehensive examination along with an MRI scan. The findings revealed a highly destructive brain tumor known as medulloblastoma, which is typically diagnosed in young individuals.
Later that month, she underwent brain surgery to remove the mass.
In an interview with my father and Robin Roberts at ABC News in January 2024, I chose to share openly about my health journey and diagnosis.
Michael expressed his profound gratitude at one point, stating, “In many aspects, I feel incredibly fortunate because I have an extraordinary daughter.” He acknowledged her struggles, but also had faith in her resilience, believing she would triumph over whatever challenges came her way.
In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Isabella acknowledged her twin sister Sophia Strahan as both a sister and a best friend. She expressed gratitude for their bond, stating that the recent months have been tougher than expected. However, these challenges have served to highlight Sophia’s strength and resilience.
Following her interview, Isabella shared she had finished her round of radiation therapy.
In my latest YouTube video posted on January 16th, I can’t hide my exhilaration as I announce, “At last, it’s completed!” This six-week journey has been quite a marathon, but now, I can finally tend to my mental wellbeing – a relief I can truly savor. The side effects and challenges along the way have certainly taken their toll, but with this milestone achieved, I am eager to bid farewell to those lingering effects and focus on healing my mind once more.
Following radiation therapy, Isabella began undergoing chemotherapy to treat her cancer.
In her February 16th vlog, she described having the sensation that an enormous root canal treatment was performed on her entire mouth. Every tooth seemed to be yanked out and not even replaced surgically. Her jaw and the bottom of her tongue are both aching, and swallowing water causes discomfort as well.
Nevertheless, the teenager maintained her positive outlook, humorously stating in a video shared a week afterward that her hair was currently “not enough”.
“Besides being bald,” she said, “it doesn’t bring me pain mentally.”
Initially planned for early March, Isabella’s second round of chemotherapy was postponed due to an emergency skull surgery she underwent. During this procedure, doctors removed excess fluid from her head and replaced the bone they had originally taken out with a titanium plate, which caused the delay in her chemotherapy by several weeks.
She expressed that she was in severe discomfort on March 6th in her vlog. Her face looks incredibly swollen, which is really unfortunate. Earlier today, the pain was intense, to the point where she was shouting out in distress.
As a die-hard Bryson Tiller fan, I was absolutely ecstatic when my hero made an unexpected visit to our humble abode in the heart of New York City. It was none other than his father, Michael, who orchestrated this magical moment as a morale booster amidst my ongoing treatments. What a day to remember!
In a playful manner, Michael teased his daughter during her vlog, saying, “Girl, it seems like it’s been ages since you last got up and about!
In a video posted on March 21st, Isabella indicated that she had commenced her second cycle of chemotherapy, which implies only four more sessions remain.
Amid her second chemotherapy round, Isabella said she began experiencing difficulties in walking.
She expressed on her March 27 vlog that she finds it difficult to walk without feeling dizzy or short of breath, and regretted not having any medication to combat fatigue.
After completing her second round of chemotherapy, the YouTuber shared an optimistic news update, indicating that she would need just two additional rounds instead of the previously planned four.
She expressed that the tears she was shedding were joyful, as stated in a video shared on April 10. It’s not about crying when one is filled with happiness; it’s just tears of pure joy.
Initially, Isabella encountered an obstacle in her treatment course as she needed a third brain surgery, a procedure that was significantly different from what she had faced before, as she herself described it.
She shared in her April 12 vlog that she’s had quite a few emotional moments, saying, “I’ve been shedding tears frequently.” She went on to explain that they inserted a needle into her three times and removed fluid while she was fully conscious. This was her first surgery where she was awake throughout the procedure.
