Isabella Strahan had a touchdown night at the Super Bowl.
During the February 9 game, Michael Stahan sat alongside his NFL on Fox commentator colleagues. Meanwhile, his 20-year-old daughter, who had been declared cancer-free following a summer battle with brain cancer, cheered on the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs from within Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.
Isabella shared some photos from the lively event on Instagram, among them was a snapshot of her wearing a stylish red and black jacket by Pink, subtly hinting at her support for the Chiefs, coupled with a pair of light-washed denims.
As I prepared for the Super Bowl alongside my twin sister Sophia Strahan, I couldn’t help but exclaim our excitement with the caption, “Getting into game mode!
Before the major match, Michael was excited because his youngest daughters, who he co-parents with Jean Muggli, were visiting him during his work schedule.
In an interview with People on February 7th, the Good Morning America host stated that people are visiting because of the complimentary dinners and events I’m covering, as well as some of the parties. He added that regardless of who wins the game, they will be content.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can’t help but feel elated at their presence. We’re in for an exciting time together – sharing laughter, creating memories, and immersing ourselves in the joyous spirit of our gathering.
Last summer, Isabella, who had been diagnosed with medulloblastoma in October 2023, announced that she was now cancer-free following her completion of chemotherapy in the summer.
And since then, she’s been enjoying finding a sense of normalcy.
On “Good Morning America” on Feb. 7, Isabella expressed her delight by saying, “It’s fantastic,” adding that she cherishes attending classes with peers her age. She recently joined a sorority which has allowed her to connect with numerous new people, making her college experience feel fresh and exciting once more.
She expressed that during her treatment, there was one thing she deeply yearned for – seeing everyone attend college. Being unable to join them made it even more desirable. Now, she’s thrilled to be back and enjoying fascinating courses.

Isabella Strahan, the child of ex-partners Michael Strahan and Jean Muggli, didn’t realize there was a problem with her health until October 2023, when she began having headaches and feelings of nausea.
One day, after vomiting blood, she was persuaded by her father to undergo a comprehensive examination and MRI scanning. The findings revealed medulloblastoma, a severe type of brain tumor typically discovered in young individuals.
Later that month, she underwent brain surgery to remove the mass.
In an interview with her father and Robin Roberts from ABC News, which took place in January 2024, Isabella chose to make her diagnosis known to the public.
Michael expressed his profound gratitude at the time, stating, “In numerous aspects, I feel incredibly fortunate because I have an extraordinary daughter.” He acknowledged her struggles, yet remained confident, believing that they are capable of handling anything life throws their way, and will not only endure but overcome these challenges.
Sophia Strahan, Isabella’s twin sister, extended her support as well. On Instagram, she expressed, “I am incredibly fortunate to have such an incredible sister and best friend. The past few months have been more challenging than we could have foreseen, but they’ve shown me just how resilient you are.
Following her interview, Isabella shared she had finished her round of radiation therapy.
In a January 16th YouTube video, she expressed her great relief, saying, “I’ve reached the end of this long six-week journey, and I’m so glad! The side effects and everything have taken their toll, but now, I’m finally able to start healing my mind.
Following radiation therapy, Isabella began undergoing chemotherapy to treat her cancer.
She explained in her February 16th vlog that her entire mouth feels as though it had undergone a massive root canal procedure. Every tooth seems to have been violently extracted and not even surgically replaced. Her jaw is aching, the bottom of her tongue is painful too. Drinking water causes discomfort.
In my expertise as a lifestyle advisor, I’d say that even after a setback, this young woman managed to maintain an optimistic outlook. A week following the incident, she humorously expressed her predicament in a video, saying her hair was “running low” or “not quite enough.” Her resilience and wit are truly admirable.
“Besides being bald,” she said, “it doesn’t bring me pain mentally.”
Initially set for her second round of chemotherapy in early March, Isabella instead underwent an emergency surgery on her skull. During this operation, doctors removed excess fluid from her head and replaced the bone they had previously cut out with a titanium plate. This unexpected procedure caused her chemotherapy treatment to be delayed by several weeks.
She expressed her discomfort on March 6th in her vlog, stating, ‘I’m feeling quite a lot of pain.’ She added that her face is swollen significantly, which she found frustrating. Earlier, she was experiencing intense pain and even let out screams.
In March, Isabella’s father Michael managed to get Bryson Tiller, her beloved singer, to visit their residence in New York City during her medical treatments as a little boost of joy.
In a playful manner, Michael teased his daughter during her vlog, saying, “It looks like you haven’t been very active lately!
In a March 21 video, Isabella announced that she had begun her second series of chemotherapy treatments, leaving only “four more” sessions remaining.
Amid her second chemotherapy round, Isabella said she began experiencing difficulties in walking.
She mentioned in her vlog on March 27 that she finds it challenging to walk without feeling dizzy or short of breath, and she wishes there was a medication available to combat exhaustion.
After completing her second round of chemotherapy, the YouTuber posted an optimistic update, indicating that instead of the previously planned four sessions, she will now only require two more treatments.
She stated, in a video shared on April 10th, that her tears were joyful. It wasn’t about crying, but rather experiencing joy that was so profound it brought tears to her eyes.
Initially, Isabella encountered a setback in her treatment journey as she needed a third craniotomy operation. This experience, she mentioned, was quite different from what she’d faced before.
In her April 12 vlog, she openly admitted that she’s had quite a few emotional moments recently. She explained that medical professionals inserted a needle into her three times to drain fluid from her, all while she was fully conscious. Therefore, this was her first surgery where she was completely awake.
In a May 21 video, Isabella shared that her appetite had completely vanished following her third round of chemotherapy, stating, “It hit rock bottom last week.” She found this situation frustrating.
Despite grappling with memory issues, Isabella managed to find a silver lining in her situation. “It’s almost the end of my chemotherapy,” she observed, “just one more day, followed by my final cycle, and that’s it. It’s hard to believe!
Isabella grabbed her crown to mark the completion of her chemotherapy sessions. In a TikTok video posted on June 8th, she simply stated, “Done with chemo,” and added the caption, “Mission accomplished.
The appropriate timing allowed the student from the University of Southern California, who rejoiced by ringing the bell following a confetti procession, to enjoy a brief respite during the summer season.
Overjoyed is an understatement! I thought my journey would wrap up by the end of July, but here I am, still going strong. Initially, I was told there’d be six rounds in total. Once they were done, I’d be off to school again. But now, I find myself pleasantly surprised and incredibly grateful for this unexpected extension.
In her July 17 YouTube video blog, she mentioned having her chemo port taken out. She admitted the area was still tender, but reassured, “It appears the recovery entails four weeks without immersing in water and taking extra precautions like careful handling, essentially scar care. So it doesn’t seem too severe.
After wrapping up her chemotherapy treatment, it was evident that Isabella felt immensely relieved upon receiving the fantastic results of her scan. She joyfully announced on her YouTube channel, dated July 18th, that “everything looked clear, cancer-free, and everything is simply wonderful.
Still, she admitted openly, “I’ve grown fond of my doctors and everyone who’s assisted me. They’re all so kind-hearted. It’s hard not to feel sad today, knowing that I won’t be seeing them for a while soon, as I hold them in such high regard.
After being declared cancer-free, it’s not surprising that Isabella would choose to celebrate by going to Disneyland, especially since her Super Bowl-winning father joined her and twin sister Sophia for an early 20th birthday celebration on October 26th.
The college student also celebrated another key milestone.
365 days have passed since my life underwent a significant transformation, as she wrote alongside a photo showing herself in graduation attire, reclining on a hospital bed via her Instagram Story. She also shared another image filled with balloons and flowers, expressing gratitude for the advancements she’s achieved by saying, “Grateful for the strides I’ve made.
