Previously employed with notable figures such as Drake, Johnny Depp, and Logan Paul among others, Nathan, head of The Agency Group, welcomes a new staff member. The recent addition arises amidst rumors of tension between Baldoni, 40, and Lively, 36, who were also producers for the movie based on Colleen Hoover’s popular novel, during its promotional tour.
A significant number of rumors started circulating as fans observed that Baldoni has been absent from press events and red carpet photos with his co-stars like Lively, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Isabela Ferrer, despite being the director and a leading actor in the film. Additionally, sharp-eyed spectators noticed that the cast do not follow Baldoni on social media, but they do follow Lively instead.
Meanwhile, Baldoni has been focusing on independently pushing the project forward. However, he’s made it clear that he doesn’t intend to direct a sequel inspired by Hoover’s book, “It Starts With Us,” in the future.
At the film’s premiere on August 6th, Baldoni shared with Entertainment Tonight that he believes other individuals might be more suitable for the role. Specifically, he expressed his belief that Blake Lively is prepared to take up directing.
Baldoni has suggested creative disagreements on set, stating in an interview with ELLE Canada published on Aug 12, “There are constant issues that arise every day while filming, and there’s always tension when making a movie like this. I believe it is this very tension that fosters the creation of beautiful art. Everything needs friction to develop and thrive.”
During the production process, there were both vibrant disagreements and thorough artistic differences. She openly stated that she had to advocate for Lana Del Rey’s song “Cherry” to be incorporated into the movie, as some believed it didn’t align with the film’s overall tone.
Concerning rumors regarding revisions to the movie in post-production, a source familiar with the matter informed TopMob News, “During post-production, multiple edits are common. The final cut of the film was agreed upon by everyone, and it’s considered the finest version of the film.”
