It took 15 YEARS for Minecraft to let us craft this item, but it’s finally coming (plus new music and more)

In Minecraft, you can ride various creatures like horses, pigs, and newly added striders, and there’s another one expected to be introduced with an upcoming update.

For 15 years now, finding a saddle to ride these creatures has involved scouring various chests, bartering with diverse villagers, or battling various opponents – quite the adventure!

At long last, Mojang Studios is experimenting with allowing players to craft saddles, a change that has been sought for years due to numerous player complaints. Those in the Minecraft community have already experienced this exciting new feature, but the wider player base will be able to create their own saddles when the next update for Minecraft is released.

How can I craft saddles in Minecraft?

It might seem logical to gather pre-made horse armor instead of crafting it due to its complex nature, but it’s puzzling how hard it is to find saddles in Minecraft.

In this initial version, or at least during the first release build, you’ll find it possible to create saddles using three pieces of leather and one iron ingot. This makes the process of crafting saddles much more convenient since they will become accessible with greater ease. Additionally, the recipe for making saddles will be unlocked as soon as you gather your first piece of leather.

Mojang Studios is enabling players to remove saddles from mounts using shears, provided the mount isn’t hostile or currently being ridden. Additionally, they’re updating the loot in chests, swapping out saddles for 1-5 pieces of leather instead.

Some of this may change before release, but I doubt it’ll be by much, if at all.

In the most recent versions of Minecraft (Preview and Snapshot), it’s not only about crafting saddles; there are additional features as well. Alongside this, Mojang is incorporating five fresh tunes into the soundtrack, skillfully created by Amos Roddy.

1) Five distinct tracks will be played in the settings of Cherry Grove, Forest, Desert, Grove, and Lush Cave biomes, and they’ll also become part of the main menu playlist. Additionally, a fresh “Tears” music disc can be acquired – this rare item is obtained by successfully defeating a Ghast using one of its own fireballs.

The upcoming release for the game might take a couple of weeks or even months, yet it promises to be an enjoyable upgrade. Moreover, this update is expected to address a persistent issue related to crafting saddles.
