Jack Schlossberg Slams Donald Trump After JFK Documents Release

Jack Schlossberg is posting up for his grandfather’s legacy.

Following the disclosure of approximately 80,000 once-confidential documents regarding the 1963 assassination of President John F. Kennedy by the Trump administration, John F. Kennedy’s grandson expressed his views on the matter.

In a message sent to X, which was also posted on Instagram on March 19th, Jack stated, “President Trump seems preoccupied with my grandfather, but not with the man himself or his accomplishments during his lifetime.

The Harvard Law alumnus, who is the son of Caroline Kennedy and Edwin Schlossberg, subsequently linked the president with his distant cousin and Trump’s Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, stating that these two individuals seem to be solely preoccupied with the remains, or legacy, of President John F. Kennedy.

Jack argued that these individuals are depriving present and upcoming generations of authentic history, as they manipulate the past to serve their illicit purposes. By doing so, they make themselves seem ordinary and acceptable to people who don’t personally remember the past.

32-year-old Jack highlighted that he’s merely doing what he can, using his platform, to “bolster resilience,” in opposition to President Trump’s policies. He further drew parallels between the president’s legislative actions—such as his push to eliminate diversity and inclusion initiatives within organizations and the reduction of billions in USAID funding—and his grandfather’s term in office from 1961 until his passing in 1963.

Jack went on, “JFK was the one who drafted the Civil Rights Act; Trump, however, made DEI unlawful. Unlike JFK, who stood firm against Russia without flinching, Trump seems to be Russia’s closest ally. While JFK sent an American to the moon, Trump handed Elon the keys to Air Force One. Notably, JFK established USAID, whereas Trump discontinued it.

He consistently praised his grandfather’s accomplishments during his time in office, stating, “JFK supported unions and labor, fighting for healthcare and better wages. In contrast, Trump seems to be taking away essential care and financial assistance from working-class families.

Just a day after Trump, who had previously signed an executive order to disclose assassination records regarding JFK, released the promised documents, calling it “long overdue,” Jack made his comments. It’s worth noting that while some batches of these JFK documents were already released in previous years, this included a recent release under President Biden’s administration in 2023.

On this particular occasion, it relates to his family matters, but it’s not the first time Jack has employed his platform to bring attention to subjects and issues he feels strongly about. Known for his distinctive online persona, Jack has earlier disclosed reasons why his posts might appear inconsistent at times.

In an episode of MSNBC’s podcast, “The Blueprint with Jen Psaki,” he stated, “I create posts that I find amusing or whimsical, but they always serve a specific purpose.

Joseph Patrick “Joe” Kennedy married Rose Elizabeth Fitzgerald on Oct. 7, 1914.

By the year 1932, they had a total of nine children: Joseph P. Kennedy Jr., John F. Kennedy, Rosemary Kennedy, Kathleen Kennedy, Eunice Kennedy, Patricia Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy, Jean Kennedy, and Edward Kennedy.

Born July 25, 1915, Joe Jr. was going to be president, as far as his father was concerned.

He attended the Democratic National Convention in 1940 as a delegate and had plans to seek election for Congress upon his discharge from the Navy. However, tragedy struck at age 29 when he and his fellow pilot, Wilford John Willy, lost their lives on August 12, 1944. The cause of death was an accidental detonation of explosives they were transporting during a bombing mission known as Operation Aphrodite, which was part of their duties.

No trace of the missing pilot was found, and they are listed among those memorialized at the American Cemetery and Memorial in Cambridge, dedicated to the fallen from World War II.

I, born on May 29, 1917, followed a path that led me to Congress, subsequently ascended to the role of U.S. Senator, and eventually achieved the highest office in the land when I was elected President in 1960.

On September 12, 1953, he tied the knot with Jacqueline Bouvier, and they were blessed with a daughter named Caroline Kennedy on November 27, 1957, followed by the birth of their son, John F. Kennedy Jr., on November 25, 1960.

As a devoted follower, I find myself reflecting on the profound loss experienced by my family in 1956 and 1963. In that year, our beloved daughter Arabella was stillborn, and our son Patrick, born three months too soon on August 7th, lived for just 39 precious hours.

JFK was assassinated on Nov. 22, 1963, one of the defining events of the 20th century.

Caroline, who served as the U.S. Ambassador to Japan under the Obama administration and later to Australia during the Biden administration, tied the knot with Edwin “Ed” Schlossberg in 1986.

They have three children: Rose Kennedy Schlossberg (born June 25, 1988), Tatiana Kennedy Schlossberg (born May 5, 1990), and John “Jack” Bouvier Kennedy Schlossberg (born Jan. 19, 1993).

TV producer Rose went to Harvard like her mom and married restaurateur Rory McAuliffe in 2022.

In 2014, Tatiana – who later discovered that her article about a deceased bear found in Central Park featured her cousin RFK Jr. – graduated from Yale and tied the knot with her college sweetheart, George Moran, in 2017. Their union resulted in the birth of their son, Edwin Jr., in 2022.

Jack, who graduated from Yale, completed both a Juris Doctor (JD) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) program at Harvard, and is known for his humorous posts on social media, addressed the 2024 Democratic National Convention. Currently, he serves as a political commentator for Vogue.

In 1988, a man who was later known as People’s Sexiest Man Alive, was renowned as one of the most sought-after single men globally. He tied the knot with Calvin Klein publicist Carolyn Bessette on September 21, 1996.

Or more colloquially:

Back in 1988, he was one of the hottest guys on Earth, and later, he became People’s Sexiest Man Alive. But it wasn’t until September 21, 1996, that he got married to Calvin Klein publicist Carolyn Bessette.

Tragically, just as his sorrowful family had experienced before, John F. Kennedy Jr. passed away prematurely, echoing the fate of his father. His life’s promise was tragically cut short when he, along with Carolyn and her sister Lauren Bessette, lost their lives in a plane crash on July 16, 1999.

Rosemary (at right, with sister Kathleen and mom Rose) was born Sept. 13, 1918.

At a specialized boarding school for children with learning disabilities, Rosemary struggled with behavioral problems. Consequently, when she turned 23 years old, her father opted for her to undergo a prefrontal lobotomy.

Rosemary, who underwent an experimental treatment that was believed to offer a solution for mental illness (which Joe had hoped would be beneficial), unfortunately emerged from it severely impaired and spent the remainder of her life (living until January 7, 2005) in an institution.

Years later, Rose shared with historian Doris Kearns Goodwin that she had always assumed she could lead a life like any other Kennedy woman, only at a more leisurely pace. However, it all disappeared within just a few short minutes.

Born Feb. 20, 1920, Kathleen got a kick out of life, hence her jaunty nickname.

She tied the knot with William Cavendish, the Marquess of Hartington, in a non-religious ceremony held in London on May 6, 1944. The wedding took place against her mother’s wishes since her husband-to-be wasn’t Catholic. Her brother Joe Jr. was the only family member who attended the wedding.

A month later, William, a major in the British Army, was killed by a sniper in Belgium.

As a steadfast devotee, I found myself deeply captivated by Lord William Wentworth-Fitzwilliam, the 8th Earl Fitzwilliam, who was already married and residing in England. Regrettably, our circumstances didn’t allow for a divorce to be granted before we both met an untimely end. Tragically, on May 13, 1948, a plane carrying us to the French Riviera suffered a crash, claiming our lives.

Eunice was born July 10, 1921.

Eunice Kennedy Shriver, a passionate philanthropist and creator of the Special Olympics, tied the knot with Robert Sargent Shriver Jr. on May 23, 1953.

The Shrivers were blessed with a family of five: Robert “Bobby” Shriver III (born on April 28, 1954), Maria Shriver (born November 6, 1955), Timothy (August 29, 1959), Mark (February 17, 1964) and Anthony (July 20, 1965).

As a devoted admirer, I’d like to share that when Eunice passed away at the age of 88, she had the joy of being a grandmother to 19 beautiful souls. Among them were Maria’s four grandkids with her former spouse, Arnold Schwarzenegger. These precious children are Katherine (born on December 13, 1989), Patrick (September 18, 1993), Christina (July 23, 1991), and Christopher (September 27, 1997).

In a manner familiar to all across the nation, Robert (or Bobby) Kennedy exchanged marriage vows with Ethel Skakel on the 17th of June, 1950.

They ended up with eleven kids: Kathleen, Joseph II, Robert Jr., David, Courtney, Michael, Kerry, Christopher, Maxwell, Douglas, and Rory.

The family had a total of eleven children: Kathleen, Joseph II, Robert Jr., David, Courtney, Michael, Kerry, Christopher, Maxwell, Douglas, and Rory.

Or:
Eleven kids were born to them: Kathleen, Joseph II, Robert Jr., David, Courtney, Michael, Kerry, Christopher, Maxwell, Douglas, and Rory.

Ethel found herself expecting Rory around the time when Bobby was tragically killed on June 6, 1968, just days after his victory in the California Democratic Primary.

On April 25, 1984, David Kennedy, aged 28, passed away due to a drug overdose. Conversely, Michael Kennedy met his unfortunate end on December 31, 1997, at the age of 37. During a family vacation in Aspen, Colo, he suffered fatal injuries when he collided with a tree while skiing and simultaneously throwing a football around. Michael had three children with his wife Victoria Gifford.

Ethel Kennedy experienced the loss of her husband when their oldest child was just 16 years old. Despite this tragic event, she became the grandmother of 34 grandchildren. Regrettably, two of these grandchildren have passed away. In 2019, Saoirse Hill, daughter of Courtney and Paul Hill, died at the age of 22 due to an accidental drug overdose. In a tragic turn of events in 2020, Maeve Kennedy McKean, daughter of Kathleen and David Townsend, lost her life in a canoeing accident.

RFK Jr., born Jan. 17, 1954, is a thrice-married father of six.

He has a son, Robert Francis “Bobby” Kennedy III (born in 1984), and a daughter, Kathleen “Kick” Kennedy (born in 1988), whom he shares with his former spouse Emily Black.

They divorced in 1994 after 12 years of marriage.

RFK III has been married to CIA analyst turned author and TV host Amaryllis Fox since 2017.

They have a shared daughter named Bobby (born on January 7, 2019) and a son named Cassius Watts Thoreau Kennedy (born on August 30, 2021), in addition to Zoë, Amaryllis’ child from a past relationship.

In a conversation with Town & Country in 2012, the Stanford alum expressed that life, to them, is essentially a compilation of various experiences, some positive and some negative. They believe that amassing as many diverse experiences as possible can lead to a richer and more fulfilling life.

Casually knowing Ben Affleck, according to a source, catapulted Kick Kennedy to the highest spot on the trending list just days following Jennifer Lopez’s divorce filing from the actor in August 2024.

Affleck’s representative swiftly dismissed rumors of a romantic relationship, stating to TopMob News that all reports about him and Kick are false.

So nothing about being a Kennedy had really changed in a decade. Or a century.

In an interview with T&C, she shared, “Often people ask me, ‘What’s it like to be a Kennedy?’ I reply, ‘I’m not sure, it feels much the same as the surrounding water, but I can tell you, when I see my image or name in the tabloids, I get a queasy feeling. It’s unfamiliar and unreal.

However, there was an uncanny resemblance between her and the aunt she was named after, who passed away prior to her father’s birth.

“It’s funny how similar we are,” Kick mused. “She was fun and social and a performer in many ways.”

In the year 1994, RFK Jr. exchanged vows with Mary Richardson, and together they welcomed four beautiful children: Conor Richardson Kennedy (born July 25), Kyra LeMoyne Kennedy (August 22), William Finbar “Finn” Kennedy (November 8), and Aidan Caohman Vieques Kennedy (July 13).

The couple were legally separated when Mary died by suicide in 2012.

Father and sons: Conor, Aidan and RFK III.

Since becoming well-known at age 18 as a Harvard student and subsequently introducing Taylor Swift to his family, Conor has generally kept a relatively quiet public life, apart from his high-profile activism and other accomplishments.

Their brief romantic fling spanned just a couple of months, following which Conor continued his life, ultimately earning his law degree from Georgetown University. However, they still managed to make news headlines.

“Taylor Swift’s ex Conor Kennedy” is now engaged to singer Giulia Be.

Kyra, a regular among the high-fashion set, lives in Milan.

In a video published on August 27, 2024, in collaboration with Elle and Bvlgari, she mentioned that she is currently engaged in a tribute project for her deceased mother.

She wonders if she’s undergone a transformation in her life, to which the answer is affirmative. As a child, she was a different individual. But upon reaching adulthood, she underwent a significant change, almost turning herself inside out.

RFK Jr. married Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines in 2014.

The actress shares daughter Catherine Young (born March 8, 2004) with ex-husband Paul Young

On Instagram in 2018, Kick expressed her appreciation for her father on Father’s Day by saying, “I owe you for the collection of quirky siblings I have!

Ethel Kennedy, along with Robert F. Kennedy, has a child who is their seventh offspring. This child has three daughters: twins Mariah Kennedy-Cuomo and Cara Kennedy Cuomo (born in 1995), and Michaela Kennedy-Cuomo (born in 1997). These daughters were born to the child’s former spouse, Andrew Cuomo.

Kerry and Andrew, who served as the Governor of New York from 2011 to 2021, got married in 1990 but parted ways in 2003, eventually finalizing their divorce in 2005.

Senator Ted Kennedy, known for scandals more than 90% of his family combined, had three children with his first wife Joan Bennett: Kara Kennedy (born February 27, 1960), Edward Kennedy Jr. (Sept. 26, 1961) and Patrick Kennedy II (July 14, 1967).

Ted Kennedy, with a reputation for scandals that surpassed most of his family members, shared three children with his wife Joan Bennett: Kara Kennedy (born on February 27, 1960), Edward Kennedy Jr. (Sept. 26, 1961) and Patrick Kennedy II (on July 14, 1967).

He and Joan divorced in 1982 after 24 years of marriage and he wed Victoria Reggie in 1992.

Kara suffered a fatal heart attack on Sept. 16, 2011, two years after her father died.
