Jackie Siegel’s Heartbreaking Loss: Mourning Sister and Husband in Tragic Overdose Incident

Jackie Siegel is in mourning.

The sister of the main figure in the 2012 documentary “Queen of Versailles”, Jessica Mallery, passed away on April 5 due to an accidental overdose. This was confirmed by Jackie’s charity, Victoria’s Voice Foundation, on April 8, three days after Jackie announced the death of her husband, David Siegel.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Jackie expressed her deep sorrow over the untimely passing of her sister, Jessica Mallery, who was only 43 years old. Yesterday, another tragedy struck as Jessica succumbed to an accidental drug overdose, a heartbreaking experience that our family has faced all too often. According to Jackie’s statement, it appears that Jessica had used cocaine tainted with fentanyl.

The tragic passing of this individual underscores once again the alarming situation of drug-related issues, particularly fentanyl, across our nation. It underscores the immediate need for action against substance abuse as a means to protect lives. The mission of Victoria’s Voice has become even more essential, and in her honor, we will persist in raising awareness and advocating tirelessly until this type of sorrow is a thing of the past in our country.

Three days ago, Jackie received devastating news. This was after she revealed on the 59th year of her life that her husband, David, had passed away following a prolonged battle with cancer, as reported by the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

She posted on Instagram on April 5 that her husband, David Alan Siegel, had passed away that morning. I was blessed to spend twenty-five wonderful years with him, and together we brought up eight remarkable children. His spirit continues in each of them.

Jackie added, “It’s more than just being saddened; we’re utterly shattered.” However, I find solace in the fact that Victoria welcomed him—the first words he heard were ‘Dad,’ followed by a warm embrace. And Steven is there as well. Just thinking about them provides me with such tranquility.

David and Jackie tragically lost their daughter, Victoria, who their foundation honors, due to an accidental overdose at the tender age of 18 in 2015. Sadly, David’s son, Steven, passed away last year from Glioblastoma at the age of 63.

Jackie continued her heartfelt tribute to her husband, saying, “I believe each of you cherished him as much as I did, which is why I felt compelled to share this with you all.” She went on to express her gratitude, “Your love and support during these challenging times are truly invaluable to us. It touches our world deeply.

She concluded by expressing that “life is a priceless present bestowed by God, and my spouse has discovered tranquility in His presence. Savor and appreciate each instant, and express gratitude to the Almighty.

In a heartfelt tribute, Westgate Resorts – the globally recognized private timeshare corporation that David built from the ground up – acknowledged the life of their founder after his passing.

As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but echo the sentiments shared by our CEO, Jim Gissy: David’s humble beginnings at Westgate, nestled in his very own garage, have never left my mind. He used this very company as a beacon, inspiring countless others to reach new heights of success. It is with immense pride that I say, we are all ready to carry the torch forward, to honor the legacy of this visionary pioneer and the empire he built.
