Jaime King is clearing the air about some of her legal troubles.
As a connoisseur of the finer aspects of life, I felt it necessary to address recent speculations concerning a legal matter that surfaced earlier this year. My previous landlord has brought forth allegations claiming an unpaid balance of approximately $42,580 in overdue rent from January.
King shared with Us Weekly on March 24 that the matter with his landlord was settled privately. It’s unfortunate – yet understandable – to observe someone attempting to capitalize on this situation for attention. At present, my primary focus is on what truly matters: my kids.
King has two sons, James (age 12) and Leo (age 10), who she shares with her former partner, Kyle Newman. A California judge has mandated that she complete a six-month rehabilitation program which includes weekly testing, aftercare, and a 26-week parenting course as part of a revised custody agreement with the boys’ father.
Following their separation in 2020 after 13 years of marriage, Newman has been granted sole primary custody of the children, while court documents indicate that King is fulfilling certain conditions. TopMob News reports that King will be allowed to have supervised visits with the kids on a thrice-weekly basis.
Approximately five years following Queen’s divorce filing from the director, the settlement was reached. During this period, she additionally presented a petition for protection from domestic violence against Newman, claiming that he orchestrated an intervention even though she didn’t have substance abuse problems.
According to a statement acquired by TopMob News, the former star of “Hart of Dixie” claimed that she consented to enter a rehabilitation center, yet was discharged prematurely as they found no traces of drugs or alcohol in her body.
At the same time, Newman submitted a counter-petition, disputing King’s accusations of abuse and instead charging her with being a persistent drug user and heavy drinker, who consistently denies having a problem and avoids seeking proper treatment.
Meanwhile, King dismissed the allegations as a “fabricated story,” but Newman maintained that he acted out of concern for the welfare of their kids when making those demands.

At one point, King rejected the claims as a “made-up tale,” while Newman stood firm in stating that his actions were driven by the need to protect the children.
After parting ways with King, Newman has had two additional children. These include his son Etienne, who is 4 years old, and his daughter Beatrix, who is 19 months old. The mother of these children is the singer named Cyn.

Between $72 million and $92 million, as stated by Madonna’s representative at the time.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d recount that the union between me, Lionel Richie, and my ex-spouse Diane Alexander, a talented dancer and fashion designer, ended in 2003 following seven years together, two beautiful children, and various unresolvable disputes. In her alimony plea, it’s been said that she requested a monthly wardrobe allowance of $15,000 and an annual budget for cosmetic procedures totaling $20,000. The final tally? A projected $20 million settlement from my earnings.
In June of 2000, the businessman tied the knot with his fourth spouse, who was an actress, following their encounter at a Vanity Fair Oscar party. However, their union lasted only until 2006. The relationship between the actress and the director had a rollercoaster ride in the late ’70s—it would start, then pause to briefly date another man (Willie Nelson, her co-star), and then reignite only to fade again. They officially tied the knot in 1985, but their union lasted just four years, ending in 1989 with a reported $100 million settlement for the actress upon divorce.
