Jamie Foxx is back in action thanks to his family.

Indeed, the Oscar-winning individual’s daughters, Corinne Foxx (aged 31) and Anelise Foxx (aged 16), played a significant role in his recuperation following a hospitalization due to a brain hemorrhage that progressed into a stroke in 2023.

Jamie (the father of Corinne Marie Foxx) expressed his gratitude to his daughter in an interview with Us Weekly on March 12, saying, “A big thank you to Corinne Marie Foxx, who looked after me and ensured my safety. She went to great lengths to keep me out of sight.” Jamie shares Corinne with his former partner Connie Kline.

He also praised “courageous” Anelise, who he coparents with ex Kristin Grannis.

I had the incredible opportunity to share the stage with a legend, Jamie Foxx, during his recent stand-up special, “What Had Happened Was.” In this show, he bravely opened up about his harrowing health scare.

Jamie made it clear to us, “You see, we never had a chance to rehearse that performance, instead, we went on stage spontaneously. To be honest, it was the first time we interacted with them. That’s because it was their first time there as well.

He exclaimed about Anelise, ‘It was astonishing to see my daughter step outside and strum that guitar as she did.’

Jamie’s health troubles traced back to April 11, 2023, a day marked by an intense headache that he referred to as “severe,” which occurred during the shooting of his upcoming movie, the action-comedy titled “Back in Action“.

In his Netflix special, he mentioned that before he managed to find the Aspirin, he stepped outside and can’t recall anything for about 20 days.

On May 4th, 2023, Jamie found himself awake to discover that he was confined to a wheelchair at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta. At this point, he had already gone through some treatments, but it was clear that he would need to re-learn fundamental skills such as walking and speaking.

During that challenging time, Jamie expressed gratitude towards his daughters for taking care of him when he needed it most.

He explained to the crowd, “I didn’t want you to perceive me in that way, and I believe the same goes for him. What I prefer is for you to see me as I am now.

However, medical professionals chimed in with comments, suggesting that she might be suffering from Cushing syndrome. She had undergone a breast reduction and C-section, among other procedures, and had received steroid injections as part of the healing process.

Hailey Bieber faced a terrifying incident in March 2022 during breakfast with her husband Justin Bieber when she began experiencing symptoms similar to a stroke. As she tried to respond to his question, she couldn’t speak, and her right side of the face drooped. Despite the temporary recovery of speech and facial movement, she rushed to the hospital for check-ups.

Upon examination, doctors detected a small blood clot in her brain, which they classified as a TIA (Transient Ischemic Attack). Further investigations at UCLA revealed that Hailey had a heart condition called patent foramen ovale (PFO), through which the blood clot had escaped from her heart and traveled to her brain.

After undergoing a successful PFO closure procedure, Hailey reported feeling well again.

In the same year when Hailey went through her health crisis, Justin also encountered a similar issue of his own. Specifically, in June 2022, Justin Bieber revealed he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, which led to temporary paralysis in parts of his face and resulted in him cancelling the remaining shows on his Justice World Tour.

In an Instagram video, Justin explained that this condition originated from a virus attacking the nerve in his ear and facial nerves, causing facial paralysis. As viewers could see, his eye was not blinking, he couldn’t smile on one side of his face, and only one nostril moved, indicating full paralysis on one side of his face. He also mentioned that it became increasingly difficult for him to eat during this time, but eventually, the paralysis subsided.

Hailey shared her thoughts about Justin’s condition on a June 2022 episode of Good Morning America and expressed relief when she said, “He’s doing really well.” She added that while it was a scary and unexpected situation, he would make a full recovery.

In Atlanta, he recounted experiencing such a severe headache that he asked for an aspirin. Unfortunately, before receiving the medication, he passed out and lost consciousness for approximately 20 days.

Initially examined by a doctor who administered a cortisone injection and sent him home, his sister Deidra Dixon became concerned and took him to another hospital. There, they discovered that Jamie had suffered a brain bleed which resulted in a stroke. After undergoing surgery on the 20th day, he woke up on May 4 in a wheelchair, unable to walk. He then traveled to Chicago for rehabilitation and therapy.

“I want to express my gratitude for every prayer,” he said, “as I truly felt their impact during such a challenging time.

Emilia Clarke, famously known for her roles in Game of Thrones, filmed intense battle scenes. However, in 2019, she penned an essay in The New Yorker titled “A Battle for My Life.” She narrated a harrowing experience at the gym where she was struck by a severe headache, vomited profusely, and felt worsening pain that she identified as brain damage.

Rushed to the hospital for a scan, she was diagnosed with a subarachnoid hemorrhage, a life-threatening type of stroke caused by bleeding around the brain. She underwent immediate surgery to seal the aneurysm, describing the pain as unbearable. During recovery, she faced aphasia and began muttering nonsensical words.

A week later, her aphasia subsided, and she was discharged from the hospital after a month’s stay. Unfortunately, in 2013, a growth was discovered during a routine scan, which had doubled in size, necessitating another surgery.

Upon waking from this operation, she was in excruciating pain as the procedure failed, and her chances of survival were deemed precarious. The doctors opted for an old-fashioned approach to access her brain through her skull.

Fortunately, Emilia is now reportedly in perfect health.
