Jana Kramer & Allan Russell's Secret Wedding Revealed

Jana Kramer and Allan Russell said “I do” two times.

Back in July, when the actor from One Tree Hill and the ex-soccer player got married in Scotland, it turned out they were already lawfully wedded spouses. They admitted that they had secretly married several months earlier before their public ceremony.

Allan revealed during the “Whine Down” podcast on March 11 that we exchanged wedding vows in January, and officially informed others of our union in July.

Jana, who has Roman, 16 months old, with Allan and Jolie, 9, as well as Jace, 6, from her previous relationship with Mike Caussin – narrated the sequence of events that followed after a woman at the courthouse disclosed she had a son who was also a notary, enabling him to perform a straightforward ceremony at their home.

She remembered that it wasn’t until around three in the afternoon when the children returned home. Then, he arrived and jokingly asked, “So, no vows then?” I replied, “No, we want to save that for something special, let’s keep it for the big day.” And there was a piece of paper, which we both signed, followed by him putting the ring on my finger. (He being Allan in this case.)

Jana, aged 41, confessed she hadn’t worn her ring. “We kept it safe,” she said. “It was a unique token between us, something we treasured, and decided not to broadcast to everyone.

2023 marked the start of their relationship, and although Allan, aged 44, sported a ring fueling marriage speculations, they decided to keep silent about these assumptions.

The “I Got the Boy” singer recalled, “After I began wearing my ring, people often asked if we had tied the knot, but we chose not to respond.

Allan, you’ve got it! To clarify, I’m saying that, indeed, I’m wearing a ring.

Beyond ensuring all necessary documents were prepared prior to their wedding in Scotland, which was Allan’s homeland, the couple had recently welcomed a baby boy and were excited to legally formalize their relationship.

Allan clarified that many individuals in similar circumstances, specifically foreign U.K. residents, had taken care of the legalities and formalities well in advance of their wedding day. This was done primarily to allow them to concentrate on the wedding planning process more effectively. Moreover, they were eager to marry each other.

Jana, who was open about various aspects of her private life, desired a secret between herself and her spouse.

She observed that it was better to remain silent and allow others to form their own thoughts, as she preferred not to disclose the information and had agreed with the other person not to discuss it further.

I found a unique, intimate, and treasured moment between us, as we clung to each other,” I gushed. “It was our secret sanctuary, a bond only the two of us shared, untouched by the prying eyes of the world.

In August 2023, Jana and Allan had a family photo taken featuring her children, Jolie and Jace (these two are the ones she shares with her former partner, Mike Caussin). She captioned it as “Fun times together in Michigan.

“That’s a wrap on another 4th of July family trip,” Jana wrote in 2023. “Core memories made.”

The family celebrated the holiday in The Great Lakes State.

The celebrity penned, “We’re your friends!” as they adopted characters from Toy Story for Halloween 2022. Warm regards, Little Bo Peep, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, and Woody.

In 2023, Jolie embarked on the second grade, expressing her aspirations of following in her mother’s footsteps as both an actress and a singer.

Jana playfully remarked, “One person can’t wait for their first day at school, while another seems less enthusiastic; but here comes 2nd grade and the final year of preschool!

On December 26, 2022, she shared that she spent Christmas morning with her little ones. Despite it being another day, the joy remained just as vivid…and even a light dusting of snow made it feel like a real Christmas Day. Pure enchantment. A big thank you goes out to the moms who introduced me to this wonderful idea. However, not everything was merry and bright, as she pointed out. A shout-out to Scrooge for leaving me with the flu and giving Jace an ear infection instead of treats.
