The Duggars officially have another family member.
Jason Duggar, who is the twelfth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, got married to Maddie Grace on October 3rd, in her home state of Tennessee. They said their vows in the presence of approximately 300 guests.
Maddie shared with People that what she is most excited about on her wedding day is the gathering of everyone together to celebrate us. She explained that such a moment is rare since it’s not often when all our loved ones can be together in one place. Given her background in Tennessee, where half her family resides in Tennessee and Kentucky, and with plans to move to Arkansas, this reunion holds even more significance for her.
She remarked, “It’s such a joy to gather everyone in one spot. It’s like a grand celebration where we all reunite.
The wedding party of the couple had eight of Jason’s brothers and sisters participating. Jedidiah Duggar served as his best man, while James Duggar, Justin Duggar, and Jackson Duggar acted as groomsmen. At the same time, Maddie’s bridesmaids were Johanna Duggar, Jennifer Duggar, Jordan Duggar, and Josie Duggar.
On that particular occasion, Maddie chose a white gown featuring belted style and bishop sleeves, complemented by a braided hairstyle. Meanwhile, Jason selected a tan suit, pairing it with a white shirt and tie in the same color.
At the event, they offered an authentic Italian menu to provide a preview of their impending honeymoon in Italy. For dessert, they served cheesecake and ice cream.
Regarding future plans, the pair is excited to embark on some travels prior to establishing a long-term relationship together following their special occasion.
Jason gently expressed, “We’re quite straightforward individuals, I believe. It feels like we’re just living our lives side by side.” He continued, “Looking forward to experiencing future phases together and moving ahead step by step.

19 children’s parents, along with the grandparents of more than three dozen youngsters, originally fell in love during their high school years.
Michelle mentioned that she felt “rescued” when she was 15 years old. On a particular night, Jim Bob was going door-to-door for outreach missions on behalf of his Baptist church. He had been told by a friend that a girl from school who had recently experienced a spiritual awakening and was a cheerleader lived at the Ruark family’s residence, so he paid them a visit.
They asked Michelle to attend a Sunday service at their church, and Jim Bob mentioned he hoped they could serve as each other’s spiritual mentors – although it seemed Michelle didn’t find their initial encounter particularly noteworthy. A year later, she applied for work at the frozen yogurt store owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a letter published on the family blog for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary in 2017, Michelle recalled her first meeting with him: “You stood behind the counter where I was standing near the cash register and introduced yourself. You were timid but quite charming! To be honest, I can’t recall much about that conversation, except that you eventually asked me if I would accompany you to your junior-senior banquet!
In the heartwarming tale of how my love story unfolded, it was more than just a dinner at Shiloh Christian that brought us closer; it was the profound conversations we had later, delving deep into the scriptures at my parents’ home. It was there, I truly felt our hearts intertwining. We walked the halls of the same school and graduated in May of 1984. John-David and his sister Jana were born on Jan. 12, 1990.
Following a lengthy period of acquaintance that spanned several years, even though they hadn’t met until a church gathering in Oklahoma where Abbie resided, John-David and Abbie eventually tied the knot on November 3, 2018. Their first child, Grace Annette Duggar, was born on January 7, 2020, and their second child, Charlie Duggar, arrived in September 2022.

In my own words, I’ve not always grasped the full scope, but I trust that God has the best plan for everyone. For me, delaying marriage was the choice I made. Born on May 17, 1991, Jill shares a romantic tale similar to that of her parents’. It was during Christmas 2011 that she encountered Derick, who lived approximately 45 minutes away, when he dropped by the Duggar household while out singing carols with his church group.
Jim Bob served as a matchmaker, and Jill and Derick found a strong connection through emails and video chats. In November of the same year, they met in person in Nepal, and their bond deepened further. As time went on, they grew more fond of each other. In February 2014, Derick requested Jim Bob’s permission to marry his daughter, and they got married on June 21, 2014. They are blessed with three sons: Israel, born on April 6, 2015, Samuel, born on July 8, 2017, and Frederick, born on July 7, 2022.
In April 2024, Jill disclosed that she experienced a miscarriage when they were anticipating their first daughter with Derick.
The duo appeared on “19 Kids and Counting” and subsequently “Counting On,” but Derick was let go from the program in 2017 following comments he made that were derogatory towards another TLC reality personality, Jazzy Jennings, which were perceived as homophobic.
In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” which was released in June 2023, Jill and Derick pondered over the debates and religious viewpoints associated with Jill’s family, as depicted in the series.
Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child was born Nov. 4, 1992.
Jessa encountered Ben at church, and their traditional courtship started in 2013 – an antiquated style of romance that was quite novel for many viewers. Before they got engaged, the couple didn’t discuss their relationships openly. Jim Bob clarified to People, “Courting involves getting acquainted in a group setting, spending time together with both families and setting objectives together to ascertain if they are destined for marriage. Dating often entails couples spending time alone, which can sometimes lead to a more intimate relationship.
In August 2014, Ben asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage and proposed. They shared their first joined hands during this momentous occasion. Their wedding took place on November 1, 2014. When Jessa was pregnant with their first child, the show 19 Kids and Counting was canceled by TLC. To address the matter of sexual abuse, they aired a special featuring Jill and Jessa to educate viewers further on the subject. Back in 2016, I found myself smitten as a fanboy, drawn to Jinger and Jeremy who crossed paths while serving in ministry work in Laredo, Texas. It was in May of that same year when they publicly announced that Jinger was pregnant once more, also disclosing a miscarriage she had experienced in the fall of the previous year. In November 2020, Evangeline Jo joined their family as their newborn daughter.
Born on January 20th, 1995, individual number 7 found an ideal moment for romance when he proposed to Kendra, whom he had met at church, during his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017. This was only a few months after they started dating.
In a conversation with People, Joseph confessed that he was undoubtedly anxious before proposing, yet he wasn’t concerned about her refusal because she had expressed, “I’m just waiting on you!” After the proposal, Kendra exclaimed, “I’m overjoyed and astonished. There are so many things I want to say, but all I can feel is shocked.
Since then, I’ve been blessed with the addition of three wonderful children to my family. My firstborn son, Garrett, joined us in June 2018. Next came my daughter, Addison, in November 2019. A little earlier, in February 2019, we welcomed our second daughter, Brooklyn. Lastly, my youngest son, Justus, was born in May 2023.
Eighth in line, Josiah was born on Aug. 28, 1996.

In the summer of 2015, a relationship with Marjorie Jackson came to an end. However, Marjorie didn’t feel it was the right moment then, so they took a break for a while.
On June 30, 2018, they got married, and they told People their wedding day was “just perfect.” Their first child, Bella Milagro, was born on Nov. 8, 2019, a name that means “miracle baby,” as the couple had previously experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. They were blessed with another daughter named Daisy in 2022, and their son, Ezra, joined the family in May 2023.
The ninth Duggar sibling was born Oct. 28, 1997.
For a span of fifteen years, she had been acquainted with Austin as a friend prior to him expressing romantic interest. Subsequently, there was no delay once he did so. He proposed in February 2017, and they got married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – the same wedding where Joseph asked Kendra to marry him. Their son, Gideon Martin Forsyth, was born on February 23, 2018.

In February 2017, it was announced that Jed was interning at his father’s previous workplace, the state capitol, working for the Arkansas House of Representatives. At just 21 years old, he is now running as a candidate for State Representative in District 89, with a focus on prioritizing Springdale’s conservative values. After one year of dating, Jed married Katey Nakatsu in April 2021. They have since welcomed their first child, son Truett, born in May 2022, and their second child, daughter Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
Jeremiah, a licensed aviation instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann, and they are the proud parents of two girls – Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, who joined their family in February 2024.
Duggar child No. 12 was born on April 21, 2000.
In January 2017, according to the Daily Mail, Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a $33,000 property requiring repairs (a fixer-upper) in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is approximately half an hour from the Duggar family’s main residence. Remarkably, he also established his own construction company around that time. Yet, he found the time to support Jed with his political campaign as well.
He went Instagram official with girlfriend Maddie Grace in May 2024 and the two got engaged in August 2024.
Charmed No. 13, James arrived on July 7, 2001.
On his 19th birthday in the year 2019, his mother penned down: “He is the beloved ‘fun uncle’ and all the young lads in this neighborhood admire him and aspire to emulate him! James possesses an extraordinary ability to accomplish nearly anything he conceives. As a child, we frequently discovered James mending various household appliances around our home. He has always been one with a knack for dismantling things, understanding their workings, and reassembling them – occasionally with unique enhancements!
This year, James has put in a lot of effort to obtain his Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), and as a result, he’s now proficient in operating large trucks and heavy equipment. We’re eagerly looking forward to discovering what lies ahead for him in the future, guided by divine plans!

In September 2020, Justin made their relationship with Claire known to the public. They got engaged in November of the same year, and on February 26, 2021, they tied the knot.
Here with his big sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s 15th child was born May 23, 2004.
On his 16th birthday, mom Michelle complimented Jackson on his wit and mentioned how eager she knew he was to obtain a driver’s license.
Duggar baby No. 16 was born Oct. 11, 2005.
On Johannah’s 15th birthday in 2020, Michelle expressed that this girl is lively, sociable, and enjoys meeting new people. She also mentioned that Johannah’s younger sisters admire her deeply and consider her as the moon itself, adding that she feels incredibly blessed by God for being Johannah’s mother.
On August 2, 2007, I got the thrill of a lifetime – the arrival of No. 17 in the Duggar clan’s tale! Back then, when it was simply about “17 Kids and Counting”, little Jenni was the youngest gem among them all, stealing hearts left and right.
Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
As a lifestyle enthusiast, I can attest that Jennifer is an embodiment of reliability, loyalty, and joy. When my niece turned 13, those were the qualities I highlighted in my message to her. Jennifer has a knack for winning over the hearts of children; it’s not uncommon to see her carrying one around because they adore her company so much!
Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.
In 2019, Jordyn-Grace was described by her mother as an extroverted girl who easily befriends anyone she meets. Her laughter is often one of the most joyful moments we experience daily.
19 Luckily, Number 19 (Josie), currently cherishing her niece Meredith, was born on December 10, 2009 – a full three months ahead of schedule and tipping the scales at just 1 pound, 6 ounces. Josie underwent a six-month stay in the neonatal intensive care unit but is thriving well now.
