Jason Kelce Reacts to Dethroning Mariah Carey’s Iconic Christmas Song

As a dedicated fan of both Jason Kelce and Stevie Nicks, I am absolutely thrilled to see their collaboration, “Maybe This Christmas,” knocking Mariah Carey’s iconic hit off the top spot on the iTunes holiday chart. It’s not every day that we get to witness such a monumental moment in music history, especially when it involves two artists as talented and beloved as these two.

Christmas came early for Jason Kelce.

It turns out that the previously professional NFL player’s duet with Stevie Nicks, titled “Maybe This Christmas,” has taken over the number one position from Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You” on the iTunes holiday chart, as part of his annual charity Christmas album with Philadelphia Eagles teammates.

Following their “New Heights” podcast broadcast on November 13, Travis Kelce conferred a fresh title upon Jason by teasingly asking, “Jason, how does it feel to be our Family’s Yule Queen?

He playfully remarked, “I’ve been striving to become the ‘Queen of Christmas’ throughout my life, and it’s truly remarkable that we’ve reached this point. It feels incredibly special.

In a turn of events, Jason and Stevie have claimed the number one spot on iTunes. However, Mariah Carey’s 1994 single has been consistently recognized with numerous major awards. Remarkably, her iconic “Queen of Christmas” hit has maintained its position atop Billboard’s Hot Holidays Chart for a staggering 60 weeks.

The ESPN commentator shared his theory as to why the song gained popularity so swiftly during the holiday period.

Jason went on to say, “We managed to snag it in early November. Let’s see if it maintains its momentum through the rest of the holiday season, which is typically a quieter period for listeners, as people tend to wind down from Christmas.” In essence, he was explaining that they had captured their opportunity around the time when most people start winding down with Christmas music.

As a devoted follower, I’m thrilled to share that my duet with the enchanting Fleetwood Mac frontwoman will be featured on “A Philly Special Christmas Party,” set to drop on November 22nd. This annual holiday album is a collaboration between yours truly, Jordan Mailata, Lane Johnson, and many others, under our vocal trio name, The Philly Specials. We release this album each year for charity purposes, bringing joy and support to those in need during the festive season.

For the athlete, working alongside the renowned musician, who happens to be pals with Taylor Swift, Travis’ girlfriend, was nothing less than a dream come true.

He shared with Travis, “It was astonishing to meet Stevie Nicks. I’m still stunned that it actually occurred. It’s truly remarkable. There’s absolutely zero possibility that any song I’m part of could be the top streaming hit on any platform in any category.

Instead of acknowledging his brother’s contribution to the song’s success, Travis retorted, “You shouldn’t take all the credit; it’s actually Stevie Nicks.
