Despite Jason Kelce retiring from the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this year following 13 seasons, his wife, Kylie, maintains certain special rituals she adheres to before a significant match.

Kylie, who has children Wyatt (age 4), Elliotte (age 3), and Bennett (age 18 months) with Jason, doesn’t just have one belief linked to strange occurrences; she also practices it when her favorite team, the Eagles, are competing.
In her conversation with TopMob, she mentioned that she consistently dons a green hat during every game as a charm for the team. Even while rooting for her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, of the Kansas City Chiefs, alongside his girlfriend Taylor Swift, she won’t hesitate to sport her green hat.
The 32-year-old confessed she’s all in for the Eagles: “‘Til the day I die.”
It was quite logical for Kylie, along with her iconic green hat, to collaborate with The Athletic for their “Superstition Swap” initiative. This campaign invites football enthusiasts to disclose their luck-bringing rituals for their preferred teams, in exchange for free access to the site’s sophisticated statistics and predictions for the 2024-2025 NFL season.
She shared with TopMob that she has relished perusing articles from The Athletic for quite some time. And when they inquired about her preferred game-day essential, she felt she had answered questions about her favorite hat sufficiently and decided to make it known.
It’s clear that Kylie isn’t the only one with this belief, as The Athletic discovered that more than 7 football fans out of 10 think that following a game day routine, such as wearing a lucky item, can positively influence their team’s performance.
For the first time in their relationship’s history, Kylie will be joined by Jason at an Eagles football game – a first for them. This occasion could also provide Jason with an opportunity to formulate his own beliefs about good luck charms after retirement.
Currently, the ex-athlete is devoting his time to other pursuits beyond football. As Kylie puts it, “He’s become more mindful of what he consumes since he no longer expends calories at the rate he once did.

As a devoted follower, I’d like to share that Jason Kelce prefers to keep private the story of how he met his wife, Kylie Kelce. However, in the Prime Video ‘Kelce’ documentary, she wasn’t shy about disclosing that their relationship started on a dating app.
“Jason won’t let me lie about this,” Kylie shared. “We met on Tinder.”
Initially, when Kylie came across Jason’s profile, she failed to identify him as the center for the Philadelphia Eagles, since none of his photos depicted him in an Eagles football setting.
Yet, once they noticed he seemed somewhat recognizable, they resorted to a common practice among modern women – conducting a Google image search. As Kylie successfully matched the face with a name, she became convinced that she had been deceived.
“It can’t be him,” she remembered thinking, “it’s a catfish.”
Still, she took a chance. And in 2015, she shared the first photo of the couple on Instagram, writing, “Thank goodness you swiped right too.”
Initially, things didn’t go as planned on their first date, but eventually, Jason and Kylie found a connection with each other.
On Jason’s “New Heights” podcast, which he hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, Kylie disclosed that 45 minutes after I arrived, you had fallen asleep on the bar table. This was due to him being excessively intoxicated.
In a moment of candor, I found myself admitting that while I may have been under the influence, there was no denying the extraordinary beauty before me. In the September 7th installment of the New Heights podcast, the pair disclosed their proposal tale. Notably, Jason confessed at the outset that he doesn’t consider himself a “sentimental” individual.
The NFL star proposed to Kylie in his car while they were leaving her parents’ house.
He said, “I found it difficult to sneakily reenter the house, as saying something like, ‘Hey, I need to chat with you Dad for a moment,’ would have seemed quite unusual under the circumstances.
Instead, Jason opted for choice number two, saying to Ky, “In the car, I apologized and explained, ‘I’m afraid I need to use the restroom.’
Straight away, Kylie realized that Jason was hiding something because he returned so quickly. She said to him, “Jason, I’m pretty sure you didn’t just pop in there for a bathroom break; it normally takes you about 20 minutes.
Jason then cut the bulls–t and got down to business.
I remembered him saying, “This isn’t the typically romantic approach,” and my heart immediately welled up with tears, as I intuited the situation due to his reference to romance.
Two months following his initial Super Bowl victory, Jason gained another exceptionally valuable piece of jewelry in his collection as he exchanged wedding vows with Kylie in Philadelphia.
In honor of their first wedding anniversary, Kylie posted some memories from their big day.
Exactly a year ago, we exchanged heartfelt promises before our dearest loved ones, expressing our love and dedication towards one another,” she penned. “I feel incredibly blessed to be living life alongside this extraordinary individual.
On October 2nd, the couple was thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, baby girl Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce. To mark her first birthday, Kylie posted a series of pictures from the delivery room on Instagram.
A year ago, this tiny creature was nestled against my chest for her first night outside. I’ll never grow tired of your hugs, Wy, she wrote. Additionally, swipe to see one of my favorite photos saved in my phone. In the midst of labor, my veins were prominent on my head, and Jason had a wide grin on his face. Just minutes later, we became parents.
The Kelces welcomed their second child, daughter Elliotte Rya Kelce, into the world on March 4.
Kylie posted a delightful video of Elliotte to mark his half-birthday, expressing it as “Overflowing with grins, giggles, and all things cute.
And, for her first post of 2022, Kylie captioned a photo of Elliotte, “Best thing to come out of 2021.”
At the 2023 Super Bowl, where Jason and Travis squared off, Kylie enjoyed the company of a particularly distinguished visitor during the game.
Jason mentioned on the podcast that Kylie will have her obstetrician present because she’ll be 38 weeks pregnant during the game. He jokingly suggested that if she gives birth at the stadium, it would make for quite an extraordinary event!
Travis joked, “We’re in The Matrix, there’s no f–king way.”
Although Uncle Trav might have triumphed at the Kelce Bowl as the Chiefs overcame the Eagles, Jason was awarded a much more delightful gift just two weeks afterwards, as he and Kylie joyously welcomed their third baby girl into the world.
Yesterday, I was delighted to announce that our family has grown! Introducing little Lady #3, Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, who weighed in at a healthy 8 pounds 5 ounces and measured 21 inches long. We’re overjoyed with her arrival!
Their daughter was named in honor of Jason’s grandmother through Bennett’s middle name, Llewellyn.
Jason revealed on the show “New Heights” that his grandmother Mary’s maiden name was significant to him. He wanted to pay tribute to Grandma Mary, who has passed away, as she lived a long life.
Kylie and her three daughters paid a visit to Jason at the Philadelphia Eagles’ training ground. They both posted pictures from their trip on Instagram together.
“Here for the Rita’s and obstacle courses with dad after practice,” the caption read.
In the “Kelce” documentary available on Amazon Prime Video, it was evident that Jason showcased his fatherly qualities as Kylie openly expressed her feelings about his retirement.
She often shares with others that regardless of football’s outcome or its finality, her preference is for him to retire while he’s still fit enough to comfortably play with our children on the floor.
