Jax Taylor Enters Treatment for Mental Health Struggles

As someone who has followed Jax Taylor‘s journey on Vanderpump Rules and his podcast, I can’t help but feel a sense of empathy for him. His struggle with mental health is not new, and it’s commendable that he’s taking this step to prioritize his well-being. Life has thrown him some tough blows recently, from the separation from Brittany Cartwright to the public scrutiny that comes with being a reality TV star.

Jax Taylor is working on his mental health.

Previously starring on “Vanderpump Rules,” the individual is now seeking help at a residential facility due to mental health issues, as confirmed by their representative to TopMob News.

“Jax’s representative informed TMZ on July 30 that he has openly discussed his mental health issues, particularly in the last few months through his podcast. Currently, this is a delicate period for him and his family, so they kindly request privacy and understanding until he feels comfortable to share more details about it.”

As an ardent fan, I’ve been eagerly awaiting updates on Jax’s health journey, five long months after the heartbreaking news broke about his separation from Brittany Cartwright, my favorite couple who shared their beautiful 3-year-old son Cruz with us. Their four years of marriage and near decade-long relationship have left a deep imprint in our hearts.

At the time, Brittany said that she had a “particularly rough year this past year.”

In the latest episode of their podcast “When Reality Hits” from February, she revealed that in her previous podcast, she hinted at many marriages facing difficult periods. Specifically, she mentioned that Jax and herself are currently spending time apart, and she chose to move into a separate residence to give herself some personal space for the sake of her mental well-being.

Besides Jax, he too believed that the separation was appropriate. He expressed this during his appearance on ‘Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen’ in May, stating, “As long as I can’t mend myself and reach my desired state, I can’t be beneficial to her.”

In the debut season of our Bravo series, The Valley, I found myself chronicling a challenging phase in my relationship with my partner. Throughout the turbulent episodes, I openly voiced concerns about preserving our marriage due to persistent conflicts.

She expressed to him during the season finale that he can’t continue his behavior without consequences. She reminded him of the times he yelled at her and spoke cruelly to her over the years.

After the finale, Brittany expressed hope that Jax will focus on his mental health moving forward.

She emphasized to TopMob News last month, “I believe it’s extremely significant,” regarding the topic at hand. “He has been focusing on personal growth through various means.”

Still, the Kentucky native said she and Jax are “definitely still separated.”

She acknowledged that it was painful to endure such personal struggles in the public eye, yet she was compelled to make this choice as evident in the finale. She stressed that she would not willingly subject herself to these difficulties if there was any other option, but only under the most essential circumstances.
