Jax Taylor is SURving up a personal tidbit about his sex life.
Raised in a community that was quite traditional, this former cast member of Vanderpump Rules views himself as someone who developed a deeper understanding of relationships and intimacy at a later stage in life.
On the March 20th episode of my podcast, “In the Mind of a Man,” I admitted that I can’t recall ever discussing the topic of sexual education with my father. I analogized my adolescent years to the movie “American Pie” from 1999, where a group of high school students pledged to lose their virginity before graduation. Back then, conversations about sex were not prevalent in my life.
Jax continued, “I didn’t lose my virginity until I was 19.”
But now, at the age of 45, the Valley star has a very different mindset on sex and relationships.
He confessed that once he arrives, his enthusiasm wanes, or alternatively, he stated that after having sexual relations with someone, he no longer feels interested.
Jax has observed that, in many cases, the romantic spark between him and his partners tends to diminish following intimacy. He refers to himself as a “Three-Week Wonder,” implying that he typically stays with someone for around three weeks before the relationship ends.
Regarding Jax’s current perspective on dating, it seems he has adopted a new strategy since his split from Brittany Cartwright, his former spouse of five years and mother of their 3-year-old son, Cruz.
He made it clear to sex therapist Dr. Emily Morse that he has no desire for a romantic relationship, instead preferring a more casual arrangement as he navigates through his divorce. However, he didn’t want to come off as insincere or misleading by saying something like, “I’m happy you’re here. I don’t want to date you. Let’s just have sex.” Instead, he chose to express his feelings more diplomatically.
Jax expressed that it’s reasonable if Brittany adopts a similar attitude towards individuals she encounters nowadays.
“I want her to go out, explore and have fun,” he noted, “because it didn’t work for either of us.”
