Jay-Z, Blue Ivy, and Rumi Carter Steal the Spotlight at Super Bowl

Here’s a public service announcement: Jay-ZBlue Ivy Carter, and Rumi Carter are in the building.

A week after some family members, including Beyoncé, had a fun night out at the 2025 Grammys, where “Texas Hold ‘Em” singer Beyoncé won three awards including Album of the Year, Jay-Z, Rumi and Blue IVy attended the Super Bowl in New Orleans on February 9th to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play against the Philadelphia Eagles. In case you missed it, Jay-Z (also known as the “99 Problems” rapper), who is a father to 7-year-old twins with the actress from Dreamgirls, accompanied Beyoncé and their oldest child to the annual event. At the show, Beyoncé made history by becoming the first Black woman of the 21st century to win Album of the Year for “Cowboy Carter”.

“She expressed a profound sense of satisfaction and gratitude on stage at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Feb 2. It’s been quite some time, she said. She wanted to express her deepest thanks to the Grammys, all songwriters, collaborators, producers – everyone who put in the effort.”

However, it’s worth noting that Beyoncé didn’t just make an appearance when she won Best Country album; this wasn’t the sole instance of her being on stage. This unexpected win left Beyoncé so surprised that not only did she become a meme, but even Blue Ivy, her daughter, subtly indicated it was time for her mother to rise and receive the award.

In her speech upon receiving the award for her album released in March 2024, Beyoncé expressed gratitude towards all the remarkable country artists who contributed. She mentioned that a great deal of effort went into creating this project. Beyoncé also touched on the subject of genre labels, stating they can be used to limit artists. Her message was one of encouragement, asking everyone to pursue their passions relentlessly and not let boundaries hold them back.
