Jelly Roll Shows Off 100-Lb. Weight Loss at 2024 CMAs With Wife Bunnie

As a seasoned music enthusiast with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that the CMA Fest 2023 lineup is nothing short of extraordinary! The diverse range of artists, from country legends like Billy Bob Thornton and Dolly Parton to up-and-coming talents such as Megan Moroney and War Treaty, promises an unforgettable weekend filled with heartfelt ballads, foot-stomping tunes, and everything in between.

Jelly Roll is suited up and ready to banjo.

On November 20th, the singer known for “Son of a Sinner” made his first public appearance at the Country Music Association (CMA) Awards held at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, accompanied by his wife Bunnie XO. This outing marked his first award show visit since he publicly announced that he had achieved his objective of shedding 100 pounds.

At the gathering, which was orchestrated by Peyton Manning, Luke Bryan, and Lainey Wilson, Jelly made a stylish statement in a sleek all-black suit. On the other hand, Bunnie opted for a lengthy black gown, playfully remarking to TopMob News during an exclusive chat that she and the current New Artist of the Year titleholder are “the spooky, fashionable duo of country music.

She jokingly remarked, “We always opt for black on the red carpet. From head to toe, we never struggle with matching.

But the couple weren’t alone, with Jelly’s 15-year-old daughter Bailee Ann making her CMAs debut. “We’re so excited,” Bunnie gushed. “This is her first CMAs.”

Once inside, Jelly and Bunnie were also spotted posing with CMAs winner Megan Moroney.

This year, Jelly, who’s been nominated for Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year, and Male Vocalist of the Year, wasn’t only reveling in country music accolades. He was also savoring the fruits of his labor regarding his health improvements.

He shared during his November 7 interview on The Pat McAfee Show that he has lost approximately 120 pounds and is feeling fantastic. He added that he’s been performing exceptionally well on this tour, and it’s heartening to see his friends supporting him wholeheartedly.

How exactly did “The Wild One’s” singer, whose real name is Jason Bradley DeFord, manage to thrive in his health journey? His dietician, Ian Larios, shed some light on the subject.

This month, Jelly, who’s now traveling across North America for the “Beautifully Broken” tour, recently posted an update about his weight loss progress.

In a recent Instagram video posted on October 23rd, Ian remarked that Jelly has been performing exceptionally well since we reached the midpoint of our tour. He pointed out that prior to each concert, Jelly likes to explore the arena beforehand. Additionally, he’s picked up basketball and boxing as hobbies to stay active.

Additionally, Ian explained the latest high-protein meal plan for Jelly. Moreover, he mentioned that before performances, Jelly enjoys a snack made of banana, manuka honey, stevia, and dark chocolate.
