Jeremy Clarkson Admits He’s Been a Disaster on Millionaire Lifelines This Season!

In a new installment, Jeremy Clarkson will once again be at the helm of “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,” this time challenging a fresh group of well-known personalities in the celebrity editions.

After being the show’s host since 2018, one might expect that the presenter would now possess an exceptional recall of general knowledge, making them ideal for the ‘Ask Jeremy’ lifeline that contestants can employ.

It appears that those crucial questions haven’t become any less daunting throughout the years. Clarkson admitted in a press pack for the series: “No, it’s still terrifying. In this particular series, I’ve been exceptionally poor. I was managing to get them right fairly often, but in this series, I’ve been absolutely terrible!

On the lifeline itself, Clarkson remarked that “it fires some adrenaline into proceedings.”

During a conversation about whether his general knowledge has expanded since hosting the ITV series, Clarkson confessed, “Not at all! You don’t acquire new knowledge through this. I believe the program doesn’t increase your general knowledge; rather, it evaluates what you already know.

It’s incredibly handy for me, as I often forget where I’ve placed my glasses. Yet, it’s amazing how something like ‘the national beer of Sri Lanka is Lion’ seems to be stored in my memory, when I can’t even recall the location of my spectacles!

The first installment of the fresh celebrity edition features Sir Stephen Fry, athlete Jeanette Kwakye, and radio broadcaster Richie Anderson taking turns in the spotlight.

This season will feature several renowned figures such as Strictly Come Dancing judge Anton Du Beke, the charismatic host of First Dates, Fred Sirieix, talented actress Roxy Shahidi, esteemed actress Julie Hesmondhalgh, retired professional boxer Tony Bellew, and cycling legend Dame Laura Kenny, among others.

Every famous personality will participate in a game for their preferred charity, with an opportunity to possibly win a massive prize of one million pounds. Previously, Richard Madeley managed to secure £125,000 for his charity, so who will surpass that amount in the upcoming event?

In the debut of the latest season, Stephen Fry, our QI show host, faces off with several well-known personalities as they tackle a barrage of tricky queries together.

Stephen may be very intelligent, but there’s a vast gap between intelligence and information. One needs facts to cultivate intelligence. Either you possess the answer (to the question) or you don’t.
