Actor Taylor Sheridan (known for his role in “The Avengers”) openly discussed the challenges faced during the filming of this season of “Mayor of Kingstown” with Men’s Health. He described the emotional effort required to get back into character after the traumatic incident, but he remains optimistic and focused, knowing that filming a television series pales in comparison to his personal experiences over the past two years.

He explains that he found himself becoming quite vulnerable at the start on January 8th, easily fatigued and prone to falls due to walking on ice. Despite this fragility, he believes this season will be exceptional for him personally, as it has stirred up stronger emotions within him. However, he quickens to add that Mike remains the same reliable friend he always was; it’s just that their shared experiences are now more emotionally charged because of his heightened emotional state.

Initially, I had no intention of participating in this fictional show, as it felt like a waste of time. I almost quit and walked away because I couldn’t stand the idea of dealing with made-up stories, characters, and dialogue. It all seemed so artificial to me. In my real life, I have physical issues that require my attention, and I don’t have the luxury to pretend or act like someone else. So, I decided to approach it from a different angle: I am going to Pittsburgh to focus on healing my body and improving each day. On the side, I will do this show. This way, the show doesn’t control me; instead, I control how I perceive it.
