Jessa Duggar Expecting Baby No. 6

Jessa Duggar Seewald is counting on.

Previously featured on the show “19 Kids and Counting“, the couple, identified as Jinger Duggar Seewald, recently shared that they are anticipating the arrival of their sixth child, which was announced on March 7.

Sharing multiple sonograms, Jessa wrote on Instagram, “Halfway to holding you in our arms!”

Of course, it goes without saying that the whole family was overjoyed at the 32-year-old’s pregnancy announcement. Her sister, Jill Duggar, expressed her joy by commenting, “Congratulations! So thrilled for you both.

As an overjoyed admirer, I’m thrilled to share that my beloved Hannah Duggar, wife of Jeremiah Duggar, and expectant mother of their third bundle of joy, expressed her enthusiasm with a cheerful exclamation: “Yayyy!!! Can’t wait to meet this sweet baby!

Jessa’s upcoming baby will be part of her family that already includes sons Spurgeon (age 9), Henry (8), George (14 months), as well as daughters Ivy (5) and Fern (3).

For Jessa and Ben, aged 29, it’s been a challenging journey to grow their family. Married since 2014, they faced a devastating pregnancy loss in 2020, followed by another heart-wrenching miscarriage two years later.

In a heartfelt YouTube video posted in February 2023, I expressed how I found miscarriages that happen without obvious symptoms to be particularly heart-wrenching – like an unexpected punch that leaves you reeling. Nothing could have ever prepared me for the devastating news.

At that point, she exclaimed, “I was utterly stunned, almost speechless. Immediately, tears began flowing.

Nevertheless, with roots tracing back to a family of nineteen siblings, Jessa persisted in her aspirations for a sizable family of her own.

In a heartfelt video uploaded to YouTube last September 2023, I proudly shared that God has bestowed upon us the blessing of a rainbow baby, our beloved son George. We are deeply grateful for the priceless gift of his life and the second chance at parenthood it represents.

In her Instagram post last month, Jessa conveyed to her child that he is “TOTALLY ADORED”. She went on to say, “Each heartbeat we hear, each ultrasound we witness, every good report from appointments… our worries lessen a tiny bit more. We’ve been abundantly blessed by God.

Originally a pair of high school sweethearts, these two ended up being the parents of nineteen and grandparents to more than thirty small children.

Michelle shared a story about being “rescued” at the age of 15. One evening, Jim Bob was conducting home visits as a representative of his Baptist church. A friend had mentioned that a cheerleader from school who had recently been “saved” resided at the Ruark family’s house, so he decided to pay them a visit.

Back in the day, they extended an invitation to Michelle for Sunday services at their church, and old Jim Bob took it upon himself to plead to the heavens for us to serve as each other’s spiritual guides – though it seems our initial encounter didn’t leave much of an impression on her. Fast forward a year, and there I was, behind the counter at his folks’ frozen yogurt shop. As I recall in a letter penned for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd anniversary, posted on their family blog in 2017, you shyly approached me at the cash register. You were as sweet as could be! Honestly, I can’t recall much about that chat, except that you gathered your courage to ask if I would accompany you to your junior-senior banquet!

At Shiloh Christian, they both went to a dinner together, but it wasn’t until they continued their conversation about the Bible for extended hours at her family home that she felt certain of their connection. As Michelle puts it, “That’s when our hearts truly connected.” They completed high school in May 1984 and got married just two months later, with both being 17 and 19 years old respectively.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.

Jim Bob previously served as a state legislator in Arkansas, representing the sixth district in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, he held the position of vice chair for the Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He attempted to run for U.S. Senate in 2002 but was unsuccessful in the primary election. In 2006, he also sought the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35, but his bid ended without success.

They, along with Michelle, both real estate agents by profession, have been actively involved in conservative movements – a part of their lives that has garnered them both admiration and criticism, including from the reality TV show “19 Kids and Counting,” which debuted in 2008 as “17 Kids and Counting.” They are supporters of the show, but also have been known to express critical views.

As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

The eldest child of the Duggars, Josh Duggar, made his entrance into the world on March 3, 1988. Similar to his family, he also pursued activism with a conservative leaning, advocating for the Family Research Council.

Back in 2015, some old police records emerged which alleged that he had been accused of molesting multiple girls, including his sisters Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, when he was a teenager. In a conversation with Fox News that June, Jessa came to her brother’s defense, stating that the harsh labels people were using towards Josh were “exaggerated and false, truly. I understand why some people might be upset when I say this, but I am able to say it because I was one of the victims.

As a lifestyle guide, I’d rephrase it this way: I, being married to Anna Duggar (who was my bride in our September 26, 2008 wedding that was showcased on 19 Kids and Counting), have been steadfastly supported by her, even during the times when I confessed to infidelity.

In 2016, when he admitted himself to a recovery facility, his parents referred to it as an essential initial move towards recuperation and restoration.

The parents of Mackynzie (born October 8, 2009), Michael (June 15, 2011), and Marcus (June 2, 2013) were expecting their fourth child, Meredith, when a scandal occurred. Anna gave birth to Meredith on July 16, 2015, the same day TLC canceled their reality show, “19 Kids.” The family welcomed their fifth child, Mason Garett, on September 12, 2017, followed by Maryella Hope on November 27, 2019. Their seventh baby, Madyson Lily, was born on October 23, 2021.

In an indictment filed in April 2021, Joshua faced charges for receiving and possessing child pornography. He denied guilt on both charges. A year later, in 2022, Joshua was convicted of both offenses, but the possession charge was dismissed by the judge. As a result, he received a sentence of 12 and a half years in prison.

Not long after Josh’s birth, Michelle became pregnant once more, unfortunately experiencing a miscarriage. As they mourned this loss and sought spiritual guidance, it was revealed to them that twins were coming.

She expressed that it was a particularly fortunate occurrence for them, as if it were a twofold blessing. God seemed to be providing comfort and guidance in their journey. They are still growing and learning, and this situation is remarkably uncommon. An intriguing aspect of their life story is that I breastfeed my children, yet they are very close in age – I had a baby and then eight months later I was pregnant again. It appears the Lord has chosen to orchestrate something unique within our circumstances.

John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

Ever since I’ve been following their story from afar (they had crossed paths for quite some time before their chance encounter at a church gathering in Abbie’s home state of Oklahoma), it’s been an emotional rollercoaster leading up to their big day! On November 3, 2018, John David and Abbie-Grace Burnett finally tied the knot. As an ardent fan, I couldn’t be happier for this beautiful couple!

On January 7, 2020, they joyously welcomed their daughter Grace Annette Duggar into the world, while their son Charlie Duggar joined them in September 2022.

On their 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana wrote a heartfelt message to John saying, “From when we were small children, people often asked if John and I shared some kind of twin connection – the feeling or understanding that one has for the other. I’ve always answered no to this question, but today I can truthfully say that when our daughter Gracie was born, I experienced every bit of joy you felt, so perhaps there is something to it after all!

Jana went on to say, “It’s just heartwarming to see you with Abbie as parents! You both seem so natural at it! The same traits that make you an exceptional brother will undoubtedly make you a fantastic father.

As a lifestyle expert, I can share my personal experience that out of my 18 siblings, 11 found their happily-ever-after before me, but eventually, I found my match in the remarkable Stephen Wissmann. Interestingly enough, his sister Hannah Wissmann is married to none other than my own brother Jeremiah. Though there were moments of frustration, I wholeheartedly believe it was all part of a divine plan orchestrated by none other than the almighty.

2024 found me, Jana, still trying to decipher the grand scheme of things, yet I’ve come to trust that whatever God has planned is ultimately for the best. As such, I decided to postpone my walk down the aisle, a choice that felt right for me. Life would be monotonous if we were all cut from the same cloth, and each of our tales unfolds uniquely, as I shared with People magazine just before my wedding.

Jill Duggar, born on May 17, 1991, had a romantic story similar to her parents’. She encountered Derick, who lived approximately 45 minutes away, for the first time on Christmas 2011. This chance meeting occurred when Derick dropped by the Duggar family home while out caroling with his church group.

As a lifestyle guru, let me share the heartwarming tale of how I, in a sense, played cupid for Jill and Derick. Their bond deepened through email exchanges and virtual conversations over Skype. Eager to get to know each other better, we, as a family, made a trip to Nepal to meet Derick that November. Their connection continued to flourish, and they fell more deeply in love.

Fast forward to February 2014, when Derick bravely asked for my daughter’s hand in marriage. Overjoyed by their decision, we celebrated their union on June 21, 2014. They have been blessed with three beautiful sons: Israel, born April 6, 2015, Samuel, born July 8, 2017, and the latest addition, Frederick, born on July 7, 2022.

In April 2024, Jill revealed that she experienced a miscarriage, being pregnant with their first daughter alongside Derick.

Jill and Derick pondered over the disputes and faith-based convictions related to Jill’s family, as depicted in the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Confidential,” that debuted in June 2023.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.

Jessa became acquainted with Ben via their church, and he started pursuing her romantically in 2013 – a traditional approach to love that was quite novel for many viewers. Prior to their engagement, the couple preferred not to discuss their romantic lives, so Jim Bob clarified to People magazine, “Courting involves getting to know each other in a group setting, with both families spending time together and the couple establishing shared objectives to decide if they are destined to marry. Dating often entails two individuals going out alone, which can sometimes lead to a more intimate relationship.

In August 2014, Ben asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage, which she accepted. They had their first touch during the proposal. The wedding took place on November 1, 2014. When they were expecting their first child, their show “19 Kids and Counting” was terminated by TLC. In its place, a special about sexual abuse was aired, with Jill and Jessa as featured speakers to educate viewers. Later that same winter, the sisters starred in their own show titled “Jill and Jessa: Counting On.” Over time, this series expanded to include other Duggar siblings and became known simply as “Counting On.

During November 5, 2015, Jessa and Ben became parents to their first son named Spurgeon. After that, they welcomed Henry on February 6, 2017, Ivy Jane on May 28, 2019, and Fern in July 2021. In the holiday season of 2022, Jessa sadly experienced a miscarriage. However, she gave birth to her fifth child, George, in December 2023.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.

Jinger and Jeremy got together while performing ministry duties in Laredo, Texas, in 2016 and began dating. They tied the knot on November 5, 2016, which happened to be their nephew Spurgeon’s birthday. Since they were among a family of 19, it wasn’t long before people started speculating about a possible pregnancy.

In a year’s time, it looks like we will have found our footing, continuing our ministry right here in Laredo, and simply aiming to serve the Lord in whatever capacity we can, Jinger mentioned on a June 2017 episode of Counting On.

On July 19, 2018, their child named Felicity entered the world. Back in May of that same year, they announced that Jinger was expecting another child, but unfortunately, she had a miscarriage the preceding autumn. In November 2020, Evangeline Jo came into their lives as their newborn daughter.

Jinger and Jeremy shared in October 2024 that their third child is due in March 2025.

Born on January 20, 1995, Joseph Duggar found love in Kendra, whom he had come to know through their shared faith at church. He made the most of a romantic occasion, proposing to Kendra at his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017, after just a few short months of courting.

In a conversation with People, Joseph revealed that he was certainly anxious about the proposal, yet he didn’t worry she would refuse because she had expressed, “I’m just waiting for you!” He added that Kendra was overwhelmed with joy and surprise. She stated, “I’m so happy and so shocked. I have numerous words I want to express, but right now, I’m just shocked.

Since then, they’ve made an announcement about the births of their children: Garrett, who was born in June 2018, Addison, born in November 2019, and Brooklyn, who joined the family in February 2021.

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.

A few months after their romantic relationship became known to the public, they made an announcement of their engagement in March 2018. He shared that he proposed to her at the very same location where her parents were engaged before. This spot holds significant family history and is particularly meaningful for Lauren due to its rich past on this property.

Michelle, future mother-in-law of Lauren, expressed her affection in a video on their blog, saying, “Lauren is truly a treasured young lady.” Jessa and Ben also extended their congratulations, along with chocolates shaped like X’s and O’s. She implied that they might save their first kiss for the wedding day, but if Lauren visited, they would offer a sweet reward instead, gesturing to the enticing treat.

In the summer of 2015, a relationship with Marjorie Jackson ended amicably, and we each went our own ways. As Josiah shared in an interview with People magazine in March 2016, they enjoyed their time together and were attempting to follow God’s guidance. However, Marjorie felt it wasn’t the right moment for them, so they took a break from the relationship for a while.

On June 30, 2018, they officially got married, telling People that their wedding day was “simply perfect.” They became parents to daughter Bella Milagro on November 8, 2019, a name meaning “miracle baby,” as the couple had previously experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. In 2022, they welcomed another daughter named Daisy and a son named Ezra in May 2023.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.

She had been friends with Austin Forsyth for fifteen years prior to him pursuing a relationship with her. Following this, there was no delay in their actions. He proposed in February 2017 and they got married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas. It was the same church where Joseph proposed to Kendra.

Joy-Anna and Austin have had three children: Gideon Martin Forsyth born on February 23, 2018, Evelyn Mae Forsyth born on August 21, 2020, and Gunner James Forsyth born on May 17, 2023.

Joy-Anna and Austin have three children: a son named Gideon Martin Forsyth (born Feb. 23, 2018), a daughter named Evelyn Mae Forsyth (born Aug. 21, 2020), and another son called Gunner James Forsyth (born May 17, 2023).

On December 30, 1998, Jim Bob and Michelle welcomed their second pair of twins, named Jed Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar.

Jed got married to Katey Nakatsu a year after they started courting in April 2021. They now have a son named Truett, who was born in May 2022, and a daughter named Nora Kate, who joined the family in June 2023.

In July 2024, Jed and Katey made an announcement that they were expecting twin girls. These little bundles of joy, named Elsie Kate and Emma Kate, arrived on January 8, 2025.

Jeremiah, who is a certified flight instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann (the sister of Stephen, Jana’s husband). Together, they have two daughters: Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.

They announced in Decemeber 2024 that their third daughter is on the way.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.

In January 2017, according to the Daily Mail, Jim Bob assisted Jase with the purchase of a $33,000 property in need of repairs in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is approximately half an hour from the Duggar family’s main residence. Subsequently, he founded his own construction business.

In May 2024, he made his relationship with Maddie Grace Instagram-official, and they got married the very next October.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.

He doesn’t have a public romantic relationship yet, but he’s very loving and caring towards his many nieces and nephews.

On his 19th birthday in 2019, Michelle wrote about James, “He is the beloved ‘fun uncle,’ and all the younger lads nearby admire him and aspire to be like him.” James has an extraordinary ability to accomplish almost anything he envisions. As a child, we’d often find James tinkering with various household appliances. He has always been one to disassemble things, understand their mechanisms, and reassemble them—with some unique enhancements!

This year, James put in a great deal of effort to earn his Commercial Driver’s License, and as a result, he has mastered the art of operating large trucks and heavy equipment. We’re eagerly anticipating what lies ahead for him in the coming years, guided by the plans of God!

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.

Back in September of 2020, I proudly announced my beautiful partner, Claire Spivey, to the world! The following month, we took a monumental step forward by getting engaged, and just three months later, we exchanged vows on February 26, 2021. What a whirlwind of romance!

In the company of his elder sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifteenth child, Jackson Duggar, entered the world on May 23, 2004.

On his 16th birthday, mom Michelle complimented Jackson’s wit and mentioned that she was well aware of his eagerness to obtain a driver’s license.

Johannah Duggar came into the world on October 11, 2005, which was the basis for the initial family documentary titled “16 Kids and Starting a New Life“.

Michelle expressed on her daughter’s 15th birthday in 2020 that the girl is full of fun and sociable, always eager to meet new people. Her younger siblings simply idolize her and believe she’s nothing short of a celestial body, and Michelle couldn’t be more thankful to God for entrusting her with such a remarkable child!

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.

Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.

Michelle expressed, “Jennifer is trustworthy, devoted, and always brings joy!” when her granddaughter turned thirteen. “She’s adored by her nieces, nephews, often seen carrying one around because they refuse to let her put them down! Jennifer also holds a deep affection for animals and diligently takes care of her pets daily! Notably, she recently assisted in rearing a brood of seven little bunnies!

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

2019 saw Jordyn-Grace being described by her mother as an extroverted girl who easily makes friends everywhere she goes, accompanied by a contagious laughter that often brings joy to our days.

Born on December 10, 2009, Josie Duggar came into the world three months early, tipping the scales at just 1 pound, 6 ounces. Due to her premature birth, she spent a significant six months in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Michelle penned on her child’s 11th birthday in 2020: “Josie is like a whirlwind of activity,” indicating that from dawn till dusk, she seldom takes a break!
