Jesse Williams is continuing his legal battle with his ex-wife Aryn Drake-Lee.
About two months following the granting of sole custody for medical care to the former ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ actor regarding his children, Sadie (11) and Maceo (9), he alleged that his ex had breached the court’s ruling during an orthodontist appointment on April 3. During my fervent encounter with Sadie’s orthodontist on May 6th, when we were set to deliberate over various matters, including the orthodontist’s strategy for addressing Sadie’s impacted upper right canine tooth and the expanding cyst near it, my ardor led me to vehemently declare to the doctor that I withhold my consent for any treatment and threatened to file a lawsuit if he were to lay a hand on my children. Unsurprisingly, the orthodontist swiftly requested us to vacate the premises.
Williams, who was previously married to Drake-Lee from 2012 to 2017 and officially divorced in 2020, stated that he apologized for the doctor over his wife’s outburst and departed from the office. In addition, he mentioned in the court documents that after the altercation, Sadie and Maceo asked him questions such as “What’s wrong with Mom? Were we kicked out? Why does she keep acting like this? Why won’t she let me get braces? Can we go back without her?

43-year-old individual alleged that Drake-Lee, his co-parent, was putting the health and specialized care of their shared children at risk, as well as damaging relationships with healthcare professionals due to her unpredictable and confrontational behavior, causing them to be hesitant to treat the children.
Williams mentioned that Maceo requires braces, further explaining that Sadie has an impacted upper right canine and a cyst surrounding its root. The orthodontist suggested that her tooth should be removed, followed by the initiation of orthodontic treatment.
The records indicate that Aryn has shown a pattern of interfering with treatments when informed about them, causing harm and distress to the children involved. Due to her behavior, it proves challenging to provide any medical care for these children.
He contended that Sadie “doesn’t need to delay treatment any further,” as her dental problems might become “even riskier” if left untreated.
Williams is asking to have permission to arrange healthcare for the children without informing Aryn beforehand, and for Aryn not to interfere with or contact the medical professionals involved.

According to the court ruling, Williams was obligated to keep Drake-Lee updated about all her medical, dental, and orthodontic checkups and treatments. Furthermore, Drake-Lee was granted permission to be present at each of these appointments.
