It’s been announced that the sixth child of Jim Bob Duggar and Michelle Duggar, who together have 19 children, is expecting her third baby with husband Jeremy Vuolo. The pair, who already have a daughter named Felicity (6 years old) and another daughter named Evangeline (3 years old), are due to welcome their new addition in March 2025.
Jinger expressed her overwhelming enthusiasm to People magazine on October 15th. She stated, “I am really looking forward to it. In fact, given the recent heatwave we’ve been experiencing, I find myself feeling quite relieved not to be dealing with the added discomfort of pregnancy during the summer. Instead, I’m thinking, ‘This is going to be such an amazing experience to go through pregnancy in a cooler season!’
Meanwhile, Jeremy shared that though the couple had been discussing growing their family, he was taken aback when Jinger initially disclosed this news in July, leaving him feeling quite surprised.
When she revealed it to me, I found myself utterly unable to speak,” he exclaimed, “She really caught me off guard. It was on Felicity’s birthday. Jinger said, ‘I have a gift for you.’ It was in an Amazon bag. So I thought, ‘What could she have bought from Amazon for me?’ Then I opened it up and found the positive test result, leaving me completely speechless.
2016 was when this pair exchanged vows, but announcing their news to their two daughters turned into a special occasion as well. They utilized a family photo session to catch Felicity and Evangeline off guard with denim jackets that bore the words ‘BIG SIS’ on the back, along with pictures from an ultrasound.
Felicity leaped around joyfully upon hearing the news,” Jinger recalled. “Evangeline, however, seemed a bit uncertain about the news. Yet, we’re confident that with the arrival of the new baby, she’ll embrace her new position as an older sister wholeheartedly.
Regarding the possibility of Jinger (aged 30) and Jeremy (aged 37) having more children in the future, it’s not something to expect.
She clarified, “We’ve often considered three as an excellent number, but it could be four as well. At the moment, though, I find myself favoring three.
Looking only toward the immediate future, these anticipating parents are excitedly eager to grow their family to five. They’re open-minded about their upcoming baby’s gender, knowing that they will be just as joyful regardless of what it turns out to be.
Jeremy expressed, “If it were another daughter, being a father of daughters has been an amazing experience,” he shared. Meanwhile, Jinger chimed in, “We’re content regardless of whether it turns out to be a boy or a girl!

Michelle shares her experience of being “rescued” at 15 years old. One evening, Jim Bob was conducting house visits as part of his Baptist church duties. A friend had mentioned to him that “a schoolgirl who recently found faith and is a cheerleader” resided in the Ruark household.
Michelle was asked to attend a Sunday service at their church by her hosts, and Jim Bob mentioned he had prayed to God for them to serve as each other’s spiritual guides – although it seems their initial encounter didn’t stand out much for Michelle. A year later, she applied for a position at the yogurt shop owned by Jim Bob’s parents. In a blog post from 2017 on their family blog for Jim Bob’s birthday and their 33rd wedding anniversary, Michelle wrote about their first meeting: “You approached the counter where I was working at the cash register, and we exchanged introductions. You were reserved but friendly! The only thing I can recall from that chat is that you eventually built up the nerve to ask me if I would accompany you to your junior-senior banquet!

Jim Bob previously held a position as a state legislator, representing Arkansas’s sixth district in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During his tenure, he served as vice chair of the Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He attempted to run for the U.S. Senate in 2002 but was unsuccessful in the primary. Another effort to become the Republican nominee for Arkansas State Senate District 35 in 2006 also ended without success.

Not long after Josh’s birth, Michelle conceived another child, however, she experienced a miscarriage. As they were still mourning this loss and seeking divine guidance, they discovered they were expecting twins instead.
She shared that it felt like a special gift twice over, “God was sending us a message of hope.” Continually learning, she finds herself in an uncommon situation: breastfeeding one baby while pregnant after just eight months. It’s yet another surprising twist the Lord has added to our unique circumstances, she added.
John-David and his sister Jana were born on Jan. 12, 1990.
Following a long-standing acquaintance spanning several years, John-David and Abbie had a brief courtship before their church gathering in Oklahoma led to a marriage on November 3, 2018. Their family expanded with the arrival of daughter Grace Annette Duggar on January 7, 2020, and son Charlie Duggar in September 2022.
On his 30th birthday in January 2020, John-David’s twin admitted to him in a heartfelt message, “From when we were young kids, people have asked us if we have that ‘twin intuition.’ You know, the sensation where you sense what the other one is feeling or guess what they are thinking…Well, John, I used to deny it, but now I can truthfully say that when little Gracie was born, I felt every ounce of joy that you did. 17th May, 1991 was the birth date of Jill. Her love story mirrors that of her parents’, as she encountered Derick, who lived approximately 45 minutes away from her, on Christmas 2011. This meeting took place when Derick dropped by the Duggar residence while out caroling with his church group.
Jim Bob acted as a cupid, and Jill and Derick found themselves becoming quite fond of each other through emails and Skype conversations. In the following months, they grew even closer. A visit to Nepal in November sealed their bond, and their feelings for one another continued to deepen. Derick proposed to Jim Bob’s daughter in February 2014, and they exchanged vows on June 21, 2014. In the month of April 2024, Jill disclosed that they had experienced a miscarriage when anticipating their first daughter with Derick.

In the enchanting setting of a family wedding, I asked Kendra, whom I had recently met at church, to become my wife in May 2017, mere months after we started courting. In the summer of 2015, a relationship with Marjorie Jackson ended amicably and they chose separate paths. As Josiah reminisced to People in March 2016, he said, “We had a wonderful time together. We were both trying to listen to God’s guidance in our decisions. Unfortunately, she didn’t believe it was the right moment for us, so we took a break for a while.
On June 30, 2018, they got married, and as they shared with People, their wedding day was “simply perfect.” Their first child, Bella Milagro, was born on Nov. 8, 2019; the name means “miracle baby,” a fitting title since Lauren had experienced a miscarriage in October 2018. They welcomed daughter Daisy in 2022 and son Ezra in May 2023.
The ninth Duggar sibling was born Oct. 28, 1997.
For fifteen years prior, she had known Austin as a close friend. After this period, he began pursuing her romantically. Once they started dating, there was no delay – he proposed in February 2017, and they got married on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas (the wedding where Joseph popped the question to Kendra!). They were blessed with a son, Gideon Martin Forsyth, on February 23, 2018.

In February 2017, it was announced that Jed was interning at his father’s former workplace, the Arkansas State Capitol, working for the House of Representatives. At just 21 years old, he is now running as a candidate for State Representative in District 89, with a strong focus on upholding Springdale’s conservative values. After a year of courting, Jed married Katey Nakatsu in April 2021. They have since welcomed two children: son Truett, born in May 2022, and daughter Nora Kate, born in June 2023.
Jeremiah, a qualified flight instructor, is married to Hannah Wissmann, and together they have two children: Brynley, who was born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.
Duggar child No. 12 was born on April 21, 2000.
In January 2017, it was reported by the Daily Mail that Jim Bob assisted Jase in purchasing a $33,000 fixer-upper located in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, which is approximately 30 minutes from the Duggar family’s homestead. As a result, he established his own construction company. However, even with this new venture, Jim Bob found time to support Jed in his political campaign.
In May 2024, he made their relationship public on Instagram with Maddie Grace, and they became engaged in August 2024.
Charmed No. 13, James arrived on July 7, 2001.
On his 19th birthday in the year 2019, his mother penned down, “He serves as the ‘fun uncle’ to everyone here, and all the young lads around admire him and aspire to be like him. James possesses an extraordinary ability to accomplish almost anything he conceives. As a child, we would often discover James tinkering with various household appliances. He has always been one who enjoys disassembling things, understanding their workings, and reassembling them – occasionally with some unique enhancements!
This year, James devoted much effort to obtaining his Commercial Driver’s License, and now he is proficient in operating large trucks and heavy equipment! We’re eagerly anticipating the exciting things that lie ahead for him as God guides his path.
No. 14 arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.
And from the department of growing up so fast…
In September 2020, Justin made their relationship with Claire known to the public. They became engaged in November of the same year, and on February 26, 2021, they officially tied the knot.
Here with his big sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s 15th child was born May 23, 2004.
On his sixteenth birthday, Michelle, Jackson’s mother, commended his wit and mentioned that she was certain he had been eagerly anticipating the day when he could obtain his driver’s license.
Duggar baby No. 16 was born Oct. 11, 2005.
Michelle expressed on Johannah’s 15th birthday in 2020 that this girl is lively and sociable, and she cherishes forming new connections. Her younger sisters hold her in high regard and believe she is the epitome of greatness, and Michelle couldn’t be more thankful to God for allowing her to be Johannah’s mother!
On August 2, 2007, No. 17 made its appearance. At that time, the show was titled “17 Kids and Counting,” and little Jenni was the youngest member of the family.
Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.
Michelle wrote celebrating her daughter, Jennifer, as she turned 13. “Jennifer is trustworthy, devoted… and full of joy!” The nieces and nephews adore her, often clinging to her because they don’t want to be put down! Jennifer also holds a deep affection for animals and diligently takes care of her pets each day. Notably, she recently helped care for a litter of 7 baby bunnies!
Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.
2019 found Jordyn-Grace being described by her mother as an extroverted young lady who can easily strike up conversations with anyone, and her laughter often illuminates our days with its cheerfulness.
19 Luckily, Number One was born on December 10, 2009, three months early and weighing just 1 pound and 6 ounces. Baby Josie spent half a year in the newborn intensive care unit, but she’s thriving wonderfully now.
