Jinger Duggar Shares Daughter’s Relatable Reaction to Their Big Family

As I delve into the lives of these remarkable individuals, the Duggar family, I am struck by their resilience, determination, and unwavering faith. Each member has their unique story, but they all share a common thread – an extraordinary life filled with love, hard work, and adventure.

James Duggar, the eldest, embodies the spirit of an entrepreneur. His passion for real estate and business is evident in his numerous ventures. I can’t help but chuckle at the thought of him negotiating deals while juggling a houseful of kids!

Anna Duggar, on the other hand, shines as a loving mother and partner. Her dedication to her family, particularly her brood of six, is truly inspiring. I imagine her as the calm in the storm, the rock that holds everything together.

Joshua Duggar, the former 19 Kids and Counting star, has faced trials and tribulations, yet he continues to rebuild his life. His journey serves as a reminder that we all make mistakes, but it’s how we pick ourselves up and move forward that defines us.

And then there is Jana Duggar, the eldest daughter. She seems to be the backbone of the family, always ready to lend a hand. I can picture her as the unsung heroine, keeping the household running smoothly while the rest of the world is unaware of her tireless efforts.

Lastly, let’s not forget the youngest, Josie Duggar. Born premature and tiny, she has grown into a bundle of energy. I can only imagine the challenges her parents have faced, but seeing her thrive today fills me with hope and admiration.

In jest, I might say that if you ever need someone to help you move houses or raise a litter of bunnies, just call the Duggars! They’ve got this family thing down to a science. But in all seriousness, they are a testament to the power of faith, love, and perseverance. Their lives serve as a beacon of inspiration for us all.

Jinger Duggar‘s eldest child can’t keep track of all their family members either.

The sixth-oldest child among Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s 19 kids, who is married to Jeremy Vuolo, shared that they reunited with many of their family members, including the Duggars, during the holiday season in Arkansas, where she originates. Their daughters, Felicity Vuolo (age 6) and Evangeline Vuolo (age 4), were also part of this gathering.

In the January 1st episode of the Jinger & Jeremy Podcast, Jinger mentioned that she enjoyed spending time with people since her birthday coincided with the holidays, bringing more folks into town than usual. The following day after her birthday celebration, they had a delightful family brunch outing together.

However, it was a lot of names to keep track of.

The 31-year-old expressed that it was heartwarming for Felicity and Evie to spend time with their cousins since they adore them deeply. It seems as though they often struggle to recall some of their cousins’ names, and it appears that the older relatives, such as aunts and uncles, are also hard to keep track of due to their large number.

Jinger Duggar from Counting On isn’t joking about her large family. Alongside her 18 siblings, she has eight sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, and a total of 31 nieces and nephews. To add to the excitement, both her twin brothers, Jedidiah Duggar and Jeremiah Duggar, are expecting babies with their wives, making it three pregnancies in the family at once.

Later, there are some who seem more like kin. It turns out that Felicity, at first, assumed they must be connected to a dear friend of hers, as he had posted a baby announcement online.

She asked, “‘So, Mom, isn’t Christian Paul one of my uncles? Or am I mistaken?’ This is what the star of ’19 Kids and Counting’ mentioned. It struck her as amusing because, growing up with so many people around, it often became a source of confusion.

She added, “It can be challenging to identify your aunts, uncles, and cousins when your mother is part of such an extended family. You’ve got 19 siblings, their spouses, and then all the nieces, nephews – it becomes quite a puzzle figuring out who’s related.

Look back at the Duggars’ family tree…

Later, it turned out that some people were as close as family to them, since Jinger mentioned that at first, Felicity believed they might be connected to a good friend due to a shared baby announcement posted on the internet.

As a devoted follower, I find myself often pondering about the identity of Christian Paul. To me, is he one of my uncles perhaps? That’s what I inquisitively asked once. The star of “19 Kids and Counting” affirmed this. It struck me as hilarious because, with so many people surrounding us during our upbringing, it can all become quite perplexing.

She mentioned that it can be challenging to identify who your aunts, uncles, and cousins are when your mother is part of an extensive family, considering she has 19 siblings. Additionally, you have the in-laws to consider, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and possibly more relatives. It’s not always easy to determine the relationships among them all.

Read on for a guide to the entire Duggar family…

Originally a sweetheart couple in high school, these parents of 19 children (and grandparents to many more) began their journey together.

Michelle shares a memory of being rescued at the age of 15. One evening, Jim Bob was carrying out house visits for his Baptist church when he was informed by a friend that “a cheerleader from school who recently had a spiritual awakening” resided at the Ruark family’s home. This piece of information led Jim Bob to knock on their door.

Last year at their church, they invited Michelle to Sunday school, and Jim Bob confided in me that he had prayed to God for us to guide each other spiritually – although it seemed our initial encounter wasn’t particularly significant for Michelle. Fast forward a while, she applied for a job at the frozen yogurt shop that belongs to Jim Bob’s parents. In a letter posted on their family blog in 2017 for our wedding anniversary, she mentioned that I approached her at the counter where I was stationed by the cash register and introduced myself. She recalled that I was shy but endearingly sweet. The only thing she vividly remembers from that conversation is how I gathered my courage to ask her if she would accompany me to the junior-senior banquet!

At Shiloh Christian, they went to a dinner together, but it wasn’t until they spent hours discussing the Bible at her family home afterward that she felt their bond deepen. As Michelle put it, “our hearts became intertwined from that point on.” They completed high school in May of 1984 and got married in July; Michelle was 17, while Jim Bob was 19.

The couple dedicated themselves to God and each other for the long run.

Jim Bob previously held the position of state legislator, representing Arkansas’s sixth district in the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2002. During this time, he served as vice chair of the House Corrections and Criminal Law Subcommittee. He attempted to run for the U.S. Senate in 2002 but was unsuccessful in the primary. In 2006, his attempt to secure the Republican nomination for Arkansas State Senate District 35 also ended before reaching the election.

They, along with Michelle, who are both real estate agents licensed to practice, have been engaged in conservative initiatives – a part of their lifestyle that has earned them admiration and criticism, making them both enthusiastic supporters and outspoken critics of the show “19 Kids and Counting,” which debuted in 2008 as “17 Kids and Counting.

As of October 2024, they were grandparents of 33 with three on the way.

The eldest member of the Duggars, Josh Duggar, was born on March 3, 1988. Similarly, he took up a role as a conservative advocate, working to support the Family Research Council in their campaigns.

In 2015, police records from his past emerged, detailing accusations against him for inappropriate behavior towards several girls, among them his sisters Jessa Duggar and Jill Duggar, when he was a teenager. Later that year, in a conversation with Fox News, Jessa spoke out in defense of her brother, stating that the harsh words being used against Josh were “exaggerated and false, truly. Some people get upset when I say this, but as one of the victims myself, I can attest to this.

His wife, Anna Duggar, remained loyal to him even after their wedding on September 26, 2008, which was showcased on the series “19 Kids and Counting”. She stood by his side, offering her support, following his confession of infidelity.

In 2016, when he admitted himself to a rehabilitation facility, his parents considered it a pivotal initial move towards recovery and healing.

As a mother of five children myself, I can only imagine the chaos and excitement that comes with welcoming seven children into the world within just over a decade. Having followed the Duggar family for some time, it’s fascinating to see how Anna Duggar has navigated through the ups and downs of raising such a large family.

When I think about her life, it’s hard not to admire her strength and dedication as a mother. Raising seven children in the public eye is no small feat, especially when faced with unexpected challenges like scandals and canceled reality shows. Yet, Anna has shown resilience and perseverance throughout it all.

I can’t help but wonder if I would have the same grace under pressure as she does. Balancing the needs of so many children while maintaining a sense of normalcy in their lives must be exhausting at times. However, watching her interact with her kids on TV, it’s clear that she cherishes each moment and makes the most out of every opportunity to connect with them.

Anna’s faith is evident in everything she does, and I believe it plays a significant role in how she manages such a large family. Her unwavering belief in her values and convictions allows her to stay grounded amidst the noise and distractions of the world. It’s inspiring to see someone live their life according to their beliefs, especially when faced with adversity.

In my opinion, Anna Duggar is a remarkable mother who has embraced the challenges that come with raising seven children in the public eye. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering faith serve as an inspiration for all mothers striving to do their best for their families.

In April 2021, Josh faced charges for two separate counts: receiving and possessing child pornography, as stated in a federal indictment. He pleaded not guilty on both accounts. Subsequently, in 2022, he was convicted of both offenses, though the possession charge was subsequently dismissed by the judge. As a result, Josh received a sentence of 12 and a half years in prison.

Not long after Josh’s birth, Michelle conceived another child, but unfortunately experienced a miscarriage. As they were mourning this loss and seeking wisdom, they discovered they were expecting twins instead.

She shared that it felt like a special gift twice over, telling Love to Know. God was giving us reassurance, she added, as we continue to learn. It’s quite uncommon, she noted, because I breastfeed my babies, but my children are so closely spaced – I have a baby and then eight months later I’m pregnant again. It’s just another instance of the unique ways God has arranged our circumstances.

John David Duggar and his twin sister Jana Duggar were born on Jan. 12, 1990.

Following a delightful reacquaintance, sparked by our paths crossing at a church gathering in Abbie’s beloved Oklahoma, I found myself embarking on a romantic journey with John David. After a thoughtful courtship that spanned several years, we decided to tie the knot on November 3, 2018.

On January 7, 2020, they joyfully welcomed their daughter Grace Annette Duggar into the world, and in September 2022, they did the same with their son Charlie Duggar.

On her 30th birthday in January 2020, Jana penned a heartfelt note to John saying, “From when we were kids, people have often wondered if we share some sort of ‘twin sense’, the ability to feel or understand each other’s feelings and thoughts…Well, John, I always denied it—but since the day Grace was born, I experienced every bit of joy you did, so maybe there is something to it after all!

Jana went on to say, “It’s heartwarming to see you and Abbie in your parental roles! You both are clearly naturals at it! The very traits that make you an outstanding brother will undoubtedly make you a fantastic father.

As a devoted sibling, I watched 11 out of my 18 brothers and sisters tie the knot before I encountered love with Stephen Wissmann – whose sister Hannah Wissmann is wedded to my own brother Jeremiah. Although there were moments of exasperation, I firmly believed it was all a part of God’s design for me.

In simple terms, Jana expressed to People magazine in August 2024, just prior to her wedding, that she hasn’t always grasped the overall scheme but believes that God knows what is best for everyone. For her personally, marriage came later. She emphasized that each person’s story unfolds uniquely; if everyone were identical, life would lack excitement.

Born on May 17, 1991, Jill Dillard (formerly known as Jill Duggar), found her own romantic tale mirroring that of her parents’. It was around Christmas time in 2011 when she encountered Derick, who lived roughly 45 minutes away. This encounter took place at the Duggar family home, where Derick had dropped by while out caroling with his church group.

Jim Bob acted as a cupid, and Jill and Derick found themselves deeply connected through emails and Skype conversations. In November of the same year, they visited Derick in Nepal, and their bond grew even stronger. As time passed, Jill and Derick developed feelings for each other that continued to deepen. By February 2014, Derick asked Jim Bob for his daughter’s hand in marriage, which was granted. They got married on June 21, 2014. Their family has expanded over the years, with three sons: Israel, born on April 6, 2015; Samuel, born July 8, 2017; and Frederick, born on July 7, 2022.

In April 2024, Jill revealed that she had experienced a miscarriage during the early stages of carrying their first daughter with Derick.

In the Amazon Prime Video documentary titled “Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets,” which debuted in June 2023, Jill and Derick pondered over the debated beliefs and religious aspects related to her family.

Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifth child, Jessa Duggar, was born Nov. 4, 1992.

Jessa got acquainted with Ben via church in 2013, and he started courting her – an outdated yet intriguing approach to love for many spectators. The couple had been discreet about their past relationships, so Jim Bob clarified to People magazine, “Courting involves getting to know one another in a group setting, with both families spending time together. The pair also establish shared goals to decide if they’re suitable for marriage. In contrast, dating usually means couples spend time alone, which might lead to more intimate situations.

In August 2014, Ben asked for Jessa’s hand in marriage and proposed. Their first physical connection was a handholding moment. They tied the knot on November 1, 2014. By then, Jessa was expecting their first child. The cancellation of 19 Kids and Counting occurred while she was pregnant, and TLC aired a special about sexual abuse, with Jill and Jessa as main subjects, to enlighten viewers on the topic. That winter, they became the leads in their own show, titled Jill and Jessa: Counting On. This series eventually expanded to include other Duggar siblings, becoming known as Counting On instead.

During November 5, 2015, Jessa and Ben had their first son named Spurgeon; on February 6, 2017, they welcomed their second son Henry; May 28, 2019 saw the arrival of their daughter Ivy Jane; and in July 2021, their third daughter Fern was born. Tragically, during the 2022 holiday season, Jessa experienced a miscarriage. However, she gave birth to her fifth child, George, in December 2023.

The sixth Duggar child, Jinger Vuolo, was born Dec. 21, 1993.

Jinger and Jeremy first crossed paths while engaged in religious work in Laredo, Texas, and commenced dating in 2016. They exchanged vows on November 5, 2016, which also happened to be their nephew Spurgeon’s birthday (quite a coincidence given that they are part of a family of 19). Soon after the wedding, speculations about a possible pregnancy began to swirl.

In a year, we expect to remain right here in Laredo, continuing our ministry and simply striving to serve the Lord. That’s where we foresee ourselves. (Jinger stated this on a June 2017 episode of Counting On)

On July 19, 2018, their daughter Felicity was born. It was announced in May of the same year that Jinger was expecting again, and sadly, she had experienced a miscarriage the previous fall. In November 2020, they were blessed with another daughter named Evangeline Jo.

Jinger and Jeremy shared in October 2024 that their third child is due in March 2025.

Born on January 20, 1995, Joseph Duggar found the perfect romantic backdrop to propose to Kendra, whom he had met through church, at his sister Joy-Anna’s wedding in May 2017. Their courtship had only lasted for a few short months prior to this special moment.

In a conversation with People magazine, Joseph revealed that he was undeniably anxious before proposing, yet he wasn’t apprehensive about her refusal because she had already expressed, “I’m merely waiting for you!” After the question, Kendra shared her overwhelming joy and shock. She has numerous words she wants to express, but all she can say is shocked.

Since then, they’ve revealed the births of their son Garrett (born in June 2018), daughter Addison (born in November 2019), and most recently, their daughter Brooklyn (born in February 2021).

Eighth in line, Josiah Duggar was born on Aug. 28, 1996.

A few months after his relationship with Lauren became public knowledge, the duo made their engagement official in March 2018. As he shared in a statement, the location where he proposed to Lauren was the very same spot where her parents had been engaged. This property holds a lot of family history for Lauren, making it a particularly meaningful and special place for her.

Michelle, Lauren’s future mother-in-law, expressed her love for Lauren in a family blog post video, saying “Lauren is just so special to us.” Jessa and Ben joined in with congratulations, along with treats shaped like X’s and O’s. Michelle playfully suggested, “I think you two might be saving your first kiss for the wedding day, but if you visit here, we have a sweet surprise waiting…” She indicated the enticing reward she was holding up.

Josiah had a relationship with Marjorie Jackson back in 2015, but things didn’t last and they parted ways during the summer. As he shared with People magazine in March 2016, their time together was enjoyable, and they were both attempting to follow God’s guidance in everything. However, Marjorie felt it wasn’t the right moment for them, so they took a break from each other for a while.

On June 30, 2018, they officially got married and told People that their wedding day was “perfect.” Their first child, Bella Milagro, was born on Nov. 8, 2019, which means ‘miracle baby.’ This was after a miscarriage in October 2018, as the couple had previously revealed. They had another daughter named Daisy in 2022, and their son Ezra came along in May 2023.

Ninth sibling Joy-Anna Duggar was born Oct. 28, 1997.

She had been friends with Austin Forsyth for fifteen years before he began pursuing her relationship. Following this, they moved swiftly and he proposed in February 2017. The couple wed on May 26, 2017, at Cross Church in Rogers, Arkansas – the same location where Joseph had proposed to Kendra.

On February 23, 2018, Joy-Anna and Austin became parents to their firstborn, Gideon Martin Forsyth. Exactly two years later, on August 21, 2020, they welcomed their second child, Evelyn Mae Forsyth. Fast forward three more years, and on May 17, 2023, the couple was overjoyed to add another son, Gunner James Forsyth, to their family.

On December 30, 1998, the second pair of twins for Jim Bob and Michelle, namely Jed and Jeremiah Duggar, made their entry into the world.

In February 2017, it was announced that Jed was interning at his father’s previous workplace, the Arkansas State Capitol, working for the House of Representatives. At just 21 years old, he ran for a seat as State Representative in District 89, promising to prioritize Springdale’s conservative principles. A year later, in April 2021, he married Katey Nakatsu. The couple welcomed their first child, Truett, in May 2022 and their daughter, Nora Kate, was born in June 2023.

Jed and Katey announced in July 2024 that they have twin girls on the way.

Jeremiah, a qualified aviation trainer, is wedded to Hannah Wissmann, and together they are proud parents of their daughter Brynley, born in December 2022, and Brielle, born in February 2024.

No. 12 Jason Duggar was born on April 21, 2000.

As a longtime fan of the Duggars, I was intrigued to learn about Jim Bob’s business ventures in January 2017. The Daily Mail reported that he helped Jase purchase a $33,000 fixer-upper in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, located approximately 30 minutes from the Duggar family homestead. What struck me was how Jim Bob took the initiative to start his own construction company following this real estate transaction.

Having followed the Duggars for years, I can attest to their resourcefulness and entrepreneurial spirit. It’s no surprise that Jim Bob would seize this opportunity to expand his horizons and create a new business venture. As someone who has always admired the Duggars’ determination and resilience, I find it inspiring to see them continually pushing boundaries and pursuing new opportunities.

In my opinion, Jim Bob’s decision to start a construction company is a testament to his adaptability and innovative mindset. It serves as a reminder that no matter where life takes us, we should always be open to learning new skills, exploring fresh ideas, and creating our own opportunities. The Duggars continue to inspire me by their unwavering dedication to their family and their relentless pursuit of personal growth and professional success.

In May 2024, he made his relationship with Maddie Grace Instagram official, and they got married the following October.

Charmed No. 13, James Duggar was born July 7, 2001.

He doesn’t have a public romantic relationship with anyone, but he is very loving as an uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

On his 19th birthday in 2019, mom Michelle described James as the “cool uncle” that all the local boys admire and aspire to emulate. James was incredibly resourceful and could manage almost anything he set his mind to. As a child, we would often discover him tinkering with household appliances, always curious about how they functioned and eager to make improvements!

This year, James dedicated himself diligently to earn his CDL license, and now he’s proficiently navigating large trucks and complex machinery. We eagerly anticipate witnessing the incredible opportunities that lie ahead for him, guided by the plans of God!

No. 14 Justin Duggar arrived on Nov. 15, 2002.

And from the department of growing up so fast…

In September 2020, Justin made their relationship with Claire Spivey known to the public. They became engaged in November of the same year and tied the knot on February 26, 2021.

In the company of his elder sister Jill, Jim Bob and Michelle’s fifteenth child, Jackson Duggar, entered the world on May 23, 2004.

On his sixteenth birthday, Michelle, his mother, commended Jackson for his wit and pointed out that she was well aware of his impatience to obtain a driver’s license.

Johannah Duggar came into the world on October 11, 2005, which led to the original family reality show being titled “16 Kids and Joining the Family“.

On my daughter’s 15th birthday in 2020, I proudly declared that she is an incredibly social and lively individual who thrives on forming new connections. Her younger siblings simply idolize her as if she were a celestial body, and I can’t help but feel profoundly grateful to have been selected by fate to be her mother!

Jennifer Duggar arrived on Aug. 2, 2007, then the baby of the family.

Their TLC show that premiered Sept. 29, 2008, was christened 17 Kids and Counting.

Now, OMG, she’s a teenager.

Michelle penned, “Jennifer is trustworthy, devoted… and a blast! When her nieces and nephews are around, she’s often found carrying one because they can’t bear to let her put them down. Jennifer also has an endearing affection for animals and is diligent in caring for her pets daily. Notably, she recently helped nurse a brood of 7 little bunnies!

Here on the right, the penultimate Duggar child was born Dec. 18, 2008.

In 2019, Jordyn-Grace was described by her mother as an open and friendly girl who seems to instantly connect with everyone she meets. Her laughter is often one of the highlights of our days.

Josie Duggar, seen with her niece Meredith here, was born on December 10, 2009. She arrived three months early and weighed merely 1 pound, 6 ounces. As a result of being born premature, she spent six months receiving specialized care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

On her baby’s 11th birthday in 2020, Michelle expressed, “Josie is like a whirlwind of activity.” She barely pauses from sunrise to bedtime!
