The job posting for a senior project producer has made it official: Sony is launching at least one new AAA studio based in Los Angeles, which was already an open secret. While the exact group isn’t confirmed yet, there are several possibilities, but many believe that this could be the team led by Jason Blundell, who left Deviation Games last year and is known for his work on Call of Duty Zombies.
Despite the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, Sony PlayStation Studios continues their search for exceptional talent to join their dedicated team and creative family, working on the development of an upcoming high-profile AAA console game. We hope everyone involved remains safe during this challenging time.
It’s astonishing how uncertain people are about which of Sony’s hidden development groups this might pertain to. Apart from the Blundell crew, there’s also a covert internal team dedicated to live service support, hailing from Bungie. Moreover, it was reported that Sony’s secretive San Diego studio is still engaged in “established series” and has been collaborating with Naughty Dog. We urgently need names for these unrecognized pioneers.
