Joe Biden’s Granddaughter Naomi Biden Gives Birth to First Baby

There’s a new addition to the Biden Family tree.

Two months following the announcement of her pregnancy, Naomi Biden – who is the eldest granddaughter of the current U.S. President Joe Biden – welcomed her and her husband Peter Neal’s first child, a baby boy, on January 8th.

During his press conference about the destructive wildfires in Southern California, the President shared that he has become a great-grandparent today.

Biden continued by saying that his great granddaughter welcomed a “10-pound, 4-ounce newborn girl” into the world, but then clarified that it was actually a “baby boy.

Jill Biden recently posted a heartwarming image on Instagram featuring herself and the President holding their newly born grandchild. The sweet snap was accompanied by a caption introducing their new great-grandson, who is named William Brannon Neal, IV.

The baby’s name pays tribute to their late uncle, Willie Neal, who sadly passed away at 19 following a tragic car accident 15 years ago in Maine, as stated in his obituary.

The 82-year-old has recently announced this news, following his confirmation that he and his wife would soon become great-grandparents. He shared this excitement with USA Today, stating, “I’m on the verge of becoming a great-grandfather, oh my goodness!” He further mentioned that the delivery date for their new grandchild was scheduled for January 8th via cesarean section.

In the November of 2024, Naomi made her pregnancy announcement following her vote in the 2024 U.S. presidential election. This election resulted in the win for Republican President-Elect Donald Trump and Vice President-Elect JD Vance, who defeated democratic nominee Kamala Harris and her running mate Tim Waltz.

In an Instagram Story post, the 31-year-old daughter of Hunter Biden and ex-wife Kathleen Buhle proudly displayed her growing belly in a mirror selfie, dressed in a chic black jumpsuit and poncho set, accessorized with a silver necklace and her “I Voted” badge.

Taking her soon-to-be-born baby into account, Naomi cleverly captioned the post “(We) voted.”

The latest addition to the Biden family was born over two years following the secret wedding of Naomi and Peter, which took place on the White House’s South Lawn in November 2022.

As a lifestyle expert, I wouldn’t be shocked to learn that our 46th president played a significant role in a recent wedding, considering that family is always his priority, as I’ve shared before. Notably, this extends to his late grandson, Beau Biden, and his daughter Ashley Biden, who are also close to him.

In 2021, the attorney shared with Today that he ensures every tradition and holiday is celebrated together as a family. He mentioned that there hasn’t been a single decision, whether large or small, that they haven’t made collectively as a family unit.
