From his humble beginnings on British independent promotions like WCPW and ICW, to his groundbreaking collaboration with TNA and subsequent debut on WWE NXT, The Prestigious One has undeniably left an indelible mark on the wrestling world.
2024 saw Joe Hendry, affectionately known as The Prestigious One, rise to fame as wrestling’s breakout star. With more than a decade of experience within the ring, he’s been captivating audiences with unforgettable matches and electrifying moments in British promotions like WCPW and ICW. However, it wasn’t until his move to TNA that he truly gained mainstream recognition.
Joe Hendry Now Trains at WWE Performance Center

On The Wrestling Matt, Joe Hendry shared insights about the unique advantages in TNA’s partnership with WWE, explaining that he occasionally visits the WWE Training Center for practice sessions.
In an extraordinary turn of events, TNA Wrestling and WWE have joined forces for a remarkable collaboration. This unique arrangement allows me, as a contracted talent, to perform on TNA Wrestling, appear on NXT, train at the Performance Center full-time, engage in independent wrestling matches, and participate in signings. This is uncharted territory in the world of professional wrestling, a first of its kind. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to both TNA and WWE for making this groundbreaking opportunity possible.
Hendry’s WWE performances are just getting started. On Tuesday’s episode of WWE NXT, Hendry integrated his live concert segment into the show, criticizing Gallus in his songs. This provoked Gallus to retaliate, potentially igniting a conflict between Hendry and Joe Coffey, who leads Gallus.
For longtime followers of the British independent wrestling scene, it’s quite a return to form seeing Hendry and Coffey on opposing sides now. In the mid-2010s, they were both mainstays at WhatCulture Pro Wrestling, which no longer exists. During this time, Hendry even founded a faction within WCPW called The Prestige in 2017, welcoming Coffey, Travis Banks, BT Gunn, and El Ligero into its ranks. Interestingly, these two rivals have squared off against each other in seven individual matches, with Coffey holding the upper hand, having won four bouts compared to Hendry’s three victories.
Hendry consistently graces the screens of WWE NXT each Tuesday at 8 PM Eastern Time on USA Network, as well as TNA iMPACT! every Thursday at 8 PM Eastern Time on AXS TV.
