Joe Locke Reveals Shocking Details About His Marvel Contract and Wiccan’s Future!

Discussing the potential role of Billy Maximoff in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, actor Joe Locke from “Agatha All Along” offers some insight. With Phase 6 of The Multiverse Saga commencing this summer, following two action-packed phases that introduced numerous new characters to the expansive MCU, fans have been eagerly waiting for Wiccan’s return, be it on the big or small screen as his story unfolds in “Agatha All Along.

In a recent conversation with The Playlist, Locke shared some insights regarding Wiccan’s future in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). When asked if there were any guarantees from Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige on when he would reprise his role as Billy, Locke disclosed details about his contract with Marvel Studios.

The Playlist: Shouldn’t you make it public? Maybe some author or producer will notice it. But since you completed the series, did Kevin Feige promise, “We’ll reach out to you in a couple of years. Don’t stress about it”? Or are you unaware of any future prospects for Billy?

Joe Locke: Kevin Feige doesn’t personally contact you, but when I agreed to the contract, I was agreeing for my entire lifetime. In essence, you’re essentially on standby. You’re in a state of uncertainty, which, while not ideal, could be worse.

What Joe Locke’s MCU Comments Mean For Wiccan’s Future

It’s uncertain at this point where we might see character Billy again within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), but it wouldn’t surprise us if Locke had more information than he can disclose about the upcoming project featuring Wiccan. Marvel Studios is notorious for keeping secrets, so actors associated with their franchise are extra cautious during interviews. Given that “Agatha All Along” delved into Locke’s older Billy following the events of “WandaVision,” it seems likely that we could see the character reappear in the MCU relatively soon.

Concerning Locke’s Marvel contract, it appears that he might have implied a state of uncertainty about his future. However, if the terms of his contract are broad enough, it suggests he has some idea of what might follow after the “Agatha All Along” finale. This could simply be a matter of Marvel Studios revealing their plans for Wiccan, as there are numerous paths they can take with Locke’s character. The nature of Locke’s contract, if indeed as open-ended as he suggests, may indicate that Marvel is undecided about how Billy Maximoff will be utilized and whether he will feature in future MCU projects.

Despite the vast array of characters Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has introduced during Phases 4 and 5, some of them haven’t reappeared even after three or four years. As Marvel moves towards concluding The Multiverse Saga, it is likely that certain storylines might be left unfinished – such as Harry Styles’ Starfox joining the Eternals. It remains uncertain whether Billy Maximoff’s story will continue and if so, whether it will stay on TV or move to the big screen in the MCU.

Our Take On Joe Locke’s MCU Comments

In light of Tom Locke expressing his dedication to portraying Billy, it seems only fitting that we may encounter Wiccan in the upcoming Vision series, a spinoff from Marvel Studios following WandaVision. If Vision plays a role in introducing an older Tommy Maximoff, given that Billy is currently on a mission to locate him, then this 2026 series would be an ideal platform for furthering his narrative. It’s hoped that Marvel Studios will provide clarity regarding the next MCU project for Locke’s Wiccan before 2025 concludes.
