In my recent transformation, I’ve adopted a striking new beauty style – bleached eyebrows! However, as I jokingly shared, not everyone seems to be enamored with this daring change.

In a recent TikTok post, I shared that I’ve given my eyebrows a fresh makeover about a week back. Prior to this transformation, they had a stark, snowy hue reminiscent of untouched snow. Now, they sport a distinctive, moustachioed look straight out of the Lorax’s iconic style.

But despite her resemblance to the Dr. Seuss character, she added, “I kind of love it.”

However, when it came to showing her mom Jamie King, Joey was met with a different reaction.

Two days past, I met my mom, and she remarked, “I find it hard to look at you because you seem strange.” The young woman acknowledged this, adding, “Indeed, I understand that I appear unusual. That’s the intention.

She added, “I said, ‘Mom, that’s exactly it. What I mean is, I’m attempting something new here. I’ll change them back later, but for now, could you please understand and let me experiment?’

Similarly to how Joey’s views differed from her mother, there has been a varied response among her fans and acquaintances regarding her new look, which she initially revealed in an Instagram post on January 5th – showcasing her unique choice of eyebrows or their apparent absence.

Among some users who raised doubts, several Hollywood celebrities expressed admiration for the appearance. For instance, Noah Cyrus commented on TikTok, “I adore this look on you,” and Tan France from Queer Eye shared on Joey’s Instagram, “You look absolutely fantastic!

Over time, Joey hasn’t hesitated to make jokes about some of her popular moments, such as her well-known Glambot incident at the People’s Choice Awards in 2019, where she spun around and gave a thumbs up to the camera after being 20 years old.

However, when certain users started to liken her Glambot to Andrew Garfield’s dramatic fall at the 2025 Golden Globes (where he played We Live in Time), Joey quickly responded to maintain her position.

She commented on her Instagram Story after the awards, saying ‘Although I value the new suggestions regarding a subpar glambot compared to my initial one, it’s regrettable to inform you all that mine remains the least impressive.’
