One significant actor is set to reprise his role for the upcoming spinoff film in the John Wick series, titled “Caine”. Details about this movie were revealed at CinemaCon this year, following its initial announcement in May 2024. Donnie Yen will be the main character and is also confirmed to direct the film. Although specifics about the plot of the John Wick spinoff are being kept secret, it’s known that the story will unfold post-events of John Wick: Chapter 4, with Caine no longer bound by obligations to the High Table. The production is in the hands of Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee.
According to Variety, Rina Sawayama is set to return for the upcoming season of “Caine,” reprising her role as Akira. Excited about this casting, franchise creator Chad Stahelski described her as a “tough, dynamic character” while executive producer Lana Wachowski expressed delight at having Rina back on set.
