As a long-time fan of the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, I must say that this Stone Mask announcement from Bandai Spirits has sent shivers down my spine! Ever since Dio Brando first donned the cursed artifact back in Phantom Blood, it’s been a symbol of power and terror for the Joestar family.
Throughout its development, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has expanded from a story centered around the Joestars battling vampires using Ripple power, to characters in the anime gaining individual Stand abilities to fight opponents who aren’t exclusively night creatures. As the franchise progresses, Dio Brando continues to stand out as one of the most formidable villains. Initially, Dio gained his powers by wearing the Stone Mask. Now, Bandai Spirits is giving Joestar fans a chance to own their replica of this cursed anime artifact.
If you haven’t encountered the Stone Mask, it made its debut in the first season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Phantom Blood. Dio discovered the mask and unwittingly transformed into a vampire, attacking the villain in a dark alley, coming close to ending his life. Recognizing the power hidden within the mask, Dio used it on himself to not only seize the Joestar family fortune but also to conquer the world by initiating an era of darkness. Even prior to harnessing the power of “The World”, Dio would have still posed a significant threat and attempted to end Jonathan Joestar’s life numerous times.

Next January, Premium Bandai is giving gamers a chance to own a piece of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure history with the release of the wearable Stone Mask! As described by the outlet, this iconic cursed item from Phantom Blood is now available as a soft-padded headwear toy. The Dio-worn Stone Mask has been transformed into a wearable stuffed toy that features bone needle-like parts for an authentic look from both front and side angles. So, who’s ready to channel their inner Dio and transcend human limitations?
2025 can’t come fast enough for me, a huge JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure fan! I just can’t wait…!

Dio didn’t come back to life after being killed by Jotaro Kujo at the end of “Stardust Crusaders.” However, Brando’s influence continued even beyond his death, as seen in “Stone Ocean,” where the antagonist Pucci sought to ascend to heaven due to his connection with the vampire.
