On August 14th, JoJo posted a picture on Instagram Stories of herself holding hands with the runner-up from So You Think You Can Dance. She labeled the photo as “A perfect day” accompanied by a black heart emoji.
Dakayla uploaded a picture on her personal account, accompanied by a black heart emoji and the caption, “Indeed, the most flawless day.” Additionally, she shared multiple photos from Disney California Adventure, one of which depicted the couple walking hand in hand.
On August 14th, JoJo expressively expressed her affection for her partner on TikTok, by uploading a video from Dakayla’s dance class. She captioned it, “Instead of being JoJo Siwa this weekend, I became Dakayla’s All Star Assistant when she taught the class.”
The singer known for her hit song “Karma,” who made a public statement in 2021, playfully commented that Dakayla had “split my body in two, but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT.” Moreover, she expressed on Instagram that JoJo is rekindling her passion for dance, returning to her roots as a dancer.
And Dakayla was most certainly impressed, commenting, “all star assistant or all star girlfriend ?”
Before dating Dakayla, JoJo had been in a public relationship with Avery Cyrus that concluded in December 2022 following a period of three months together.
While Avery once expressed warm feelings about dating JoJo, stating to TopMob News that she had only positive feelings towards JoJo and her family at one point, JoJo seems to hold a contrasting view. Instead of dwelling on the past, she prefers to discuss the alleged emotional aftermath she experienced.
In April, the 21-year-old mentioned on “Call Her Daddy” that both of us intentionally made our relationship quite public. From getting together to breaking up, everything was out in the open. There have been a lot of events transpired, some of which I would share with you if this microphone wasn’t recording, about her actions.
And while she said her past “built a trauma I didn’t even know I have,” JoJo added that she’s since become “very focused” on her professional life: “I’m very into my art, I’m very into my career, so I’m very lucky I have that to preoccupy me. But I love love.”
It wasn’t until she started dating again that she truly understood the challenges she had faced.
