One intriguing twist in the latest arc of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, titled The JOJOLands, was the emergence of the franchise’s most renowned manga creator, Kishibe Rohan. Originally featured in Diamond Is Unbreakable, he later starred in his own series, Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan. His unexpected appearance in the story of Jodio and Dragona left many stunned, as the multiverse concept introduced post Stone Ocean conclusion raised questions about Rohan’s role within this animated universe. In an unexpected move, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure has delved into the character of Kishibe Rohan from The JOJOLands.

View Urgent ForecastIn the Summer 2025 edition of JoJo Magazine, it was disclosed that the character from JOJOLands named Rohan, is actually a counterpart from an alternate reality of the manga author we’re familiar with in Morioh. To put it simply, the magazine explained, “The Rohan Kishibe seen in ‘Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan’ is depicted as a parallel world version of the one in ‘JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure’, even though his personality, Stand abilities, and other characteristics remain consistent.” With the finale of Stone Ocean introducing a new Joestar universe, it seems that Rohan might be the only character who was able to traverse universes without undergoing significant changes.
A Rohan By Any Other Name
This summer, the renowned manga artist behind JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Kishibe Rohan, is set to release some significant new works, underscoring his massive popularity both within and beyond the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. On May 23rd this year, a live-action Rohan movie titled “Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan: At a Confessional” will hit Japanese theaters. This film presents an intriguing twist for Rohan as he listens to a chilling tale within a chapel, rather than being the main character himself. As of now, it remains undisclosed whether this movie will be screened in North America.
Excitedly speaking, I’m thrilled to share that Rohan Kishibe, a beloved character from our favorite series, is making a return in an exciting new spin-off novel titled “Synchronicity in Morioh.” This captivating tale will be published alongside the revelations about Kishibe’s multiverse status, and the enticing one-liner that sets the stage for this story is, “I thought I could manage house-sitting, but then, a mystery comes knocking at Rohan’s door.”
What makes Rohan’s side stories so intriguing is that the mangaka takes us on a journey where Rohan faces supernatural challenges rather than typical enemy Stands. This new story promises to throw some unexpected curveballs at our beloved Joestar supporting character, making it a must-read for fans like myself!
The Steel Ball Run Is Coming
This summer, Rohan seems to have a lot on his plate, and some fans may be disappointed if they’re hoping to catch a glimpse of him in the upcoming anime chapter. Although it was announced earlier this year that Steel Ball Run is being adapted into an anime, if it sticks closely to the original storyline, Rohan Kishibe won’t be participating in the race. However, given Hirohiko Araki’s affection for the side character, it’s unlikely that we’ve seen the last of Rohan Kishibe anytime soon.
