JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure x Sailor Moon Crossover Imagines Dio As a Sailor Scout

In the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Dio Brando is more than just the greatest villain in its history; he’s one of the most formidable antagonists in anime as a whole. Wielding his Stand as a vampire, he was so powerful that even after his defeat by Jotaro Kujo in Stardust Crusaders, his influence continued to pose problems for the Joestars. In an amusing twist on this classic character, a cosplayer has fantasized about what Dio might have become if he had channeled his anger not against the Joestar bloodline, but instead joined Sailor Moon’s Sailor Scouts and harnessed his wild abilities for good.

In the world of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, things have dramatically transformed ever since Dio Brando and Jonathan Joestar first entered the storyline called “Phantom Blood.” After Jolyne Cujoh’s tale concluded in Stone Ocean, the anime universe underwent a significant transformation, paving the way for an exhilarating new narrative that Araki-san has crafted. It appears that Steel Ball Run is poised to be the next installment in this cherished series, focusing on a horse race set in the late 1800s across North America. If David Production decides to bring it back to our TV screens, they’ll certainly have an exciting challenge ahead, as Stand battles will now unfold on the backs of horses!

Sailor Dio

A villain akin to Dio Brando could effortlessly blend among the malevolent forces that often tormented Sailor Moon and her scout team. However, envisioning such a vampire as a hero is hard to fathom. Remarkably, one cosplayer skillfully combined Dio’s imposing style with the aesthetic of the Sailor Scouts by outfitting the antagonist in their very own Sailor suit. It goes without saying that this unofficial crossover is worth exploring.

The Brando Line Lives On

Beyond Dio’s impact on Pucci in the Stone Ocean storyline, Brando’s influence endured in an unforeseen manner. In contrast to his distant father, Golden Wind introduced Giorno Giovanna, Brando’s son, as the new protagonist of the anime. Instead of relying on vampiric abilities like his father, Giorno utilized his Stand, Golden Wind, to conquer the Passione mafia and eventually defeat the series antagonist, Diavolo.

In my excitement as a fan, let me share that the captivating world of Steel Ball Run unfolds in an alternate reality distinct from the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe we initially encountered. Unlike our previous encounters, Dio Brando won’t be gracing this storyline, but fear not! A character remarkably similar to him will take center stage instead. Known as Diego Brando, he is pivotal in the tale of Johnny Joestar and could potentially make an entrance if a future Steel Ball Run anime adaptation becomes reality.
